Exactly What I Needed

I spent Thanksgiving with relatives of a friend who lives nearby and needed a pied à terre and base camp. This was perfect--private, on a quiet street, no hassles.

The host was very receptive and quick to respond to messages. Listing is accurate. Easy in and out. Some noise through walls, but not at all disturbing. We had some difficulty getting the lights to turn off completely and were sleeping in low light for the night.

The pictures are great but they aren’t an accurate representation. The shower does not drain well so you’ll be standing in about 2 inches of water the entire time (from the time you turn on the shower)The circle light above the bed DOES NOT TURN OFF. So sleeping was extremely difficult. The kitchen is fine but there are no cooking supplies so unless you bring your own cooking spoons/pans you won’t be able to cook. I would not walk barefoot in the place. Back patio is nice but the neighbors do not care about your stay (why would they?) so they played loud music outside a lotChris was very very nice and accommodating. It’s just too bad that the place isn’t great.

I take pride in maintaining a very clean and comfortable space, which is reflected in the many positive reviews from past stays. As a courtesy, I accommodated your early check-in at 12 noon (well before the standard 4pm check-in) to make your arrival easier. The shower was inspected after your departure and found to be working normally, and the kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and utensils for guest use. I truly value my guests and always aim to provide a welcoming experience, as many reviews attest. I’m sorry this stay did not meet your expectations, but I stand by the quality and accuracy of my listing.

Great location!

I was staying at this property for a business trip. The location was nice and quiet. I did have some trouble finding which property it was on the street as there was no visible house number. I wasn’t sure if I could park in the driveway as it would block the garage. I was given permission, but there is also parking on the street. It is a 2-story home with the apartment in the lower level. There is one main entry for a few doors for other apartments. The space was lovely with a clean bathroom and kitchen with essentials. Communication was great with the host. Neighbors and tenants upstairs weren’t noisy, but you could hear the footsteps and tv/music in the hallways. Overall, I would stay here again and would recommend this property.

I am writing to share my experience from a recent stay, which fell well below expectations. I had requested entry instructions 24 hours in advance due to travel and limited Wi-Fi, but did not receive them until three hours before check-in. Upon arrival, the directions were unclear, and I had to contact the owner for assistance just to access the property.I have had two recent ankle surgeries and, while I expected some stairs, the excessive number made access unnecessarily difficult.Once inside, there was a strong, unpleasant odor, requiring me to open windows immediately. The bedding was unacceptable—the blanket appeared worn, and the sheets were visibly stained and did not seem clean. I was uncomfortable sleeping in the bed and used my own blankets from my car as a barrier. I have photos/videos if needed.Additionally, the light above the bed would not turn off, making it nearly impossible to sleep. I left early the next morning after very little rest.Overall, this experience reflected poor communication, cleanliness, and basic functionality. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and addressed for future guests.
