If you can drag yourself away from your island retreat, you'll find yourself in the perfect jumping off point for exploring the island at Ali'i Kai 10A. Anini Beach is just 15 minutes away, and has crystal clear waters that offer some of the best snorkeling on the island! You might also catch a glimpse of a Hawaiian green sea turtle while you're there. Hanalei Bay is also just 10 minutes away, and has beautiful golden sand beaches with calm waters perfect for all ages of swimmers. The charming Hanalei town is right nearby, and has a variety of boutiques and delicious restaurants/cafes for all your shopping and dining needs. Hideaways Beach is just a mile away from Alii Kai, and if you're able to brave the steep path you'll be rewarded with a secluded and shady beach experience that feels like your own slice of paradise. The snorkeling isn't half bad either, and it makes a great setting for a picnic lunch! If you want a break from the crowds, we recommend heading to Kilauea, just 20 minutes down the road, to check out the iconic lighthouse and wildlife preserve. Or, if you prefer sticking a bit closer to home, the Princeville shopping center is just a mile away, and has plenty of options for shopping and grabbing tasty bites, as well as the Foodland grocery store for even more convenience! The nationally ranked Makai golf course is also just a 10 minute walk away from your front door, and has some of the best golfing in the country.

Of course, for travelers who prefer to do less and relax more, the Ali'i Kai complex is perfectly situated for a staycation. The complex has a large heated pool, jacuzzi, and shallow wading pool that's great for children, as well as plenty of sun loungers and shaded clubhouse seating. There are also gas grills on site if you want to spend the day barbecuing and enjoying the lovely weather, or you can take a stroll around the beautifully landscaped grounds. situated right on the rocky bluffs, and enjoy some stellar ocean views! With the Princeville Shopping Center so close by, you'll hardly even need to leave to pick up all your essentials, or some delicious takeout.

If you're looking to explore other parts of the island, be sure to plan accordingly. Drive time to the South Shore is roughly 75 minutes, and to the East Side (where the airport is located) is 55 minutes.

As with most homes on Kauai, this vacation rental is NOT air conditioned, however there are fans in every room and screen doors on the lanai to help with airflow.
