Gut: Check-in, Kommunikation und Lage
The host was wonderful and very responsive! I cannot say how much I appreciated that. With that being said, maybe we caught them on a bad week but the place was not very clean nor was it plowed or shoveled when we got there. When I messaged she did offer to send someone there to do it but we really did not want to wait so my husband ended up shoveling instead. It was also very dusty/musty smelling inside.Part of the house was renovated and seemed pretty nice but the other 2 bedrooms were not great. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and the bedding in our room had suspicious crusty stains on it as well as garbage on the floor under the bed. The bathrooms were also not cleaned very well. The toilets were splattered with some form of bodily fluid. I assume the owner does not live near by and has someone come to clean. They may want to consider some one else. I know it seems like I’m being picky but we really are not hard people to please. I booked the place because it does have wonderful reviews so maybe we just caught them on a bad day. The location was wonderful. We came for the snowmobile races and it was not a far drive to the track and all surrounding restaurants and businesses. The view of the lake in the morning was amazing we saw so many deer walking on the lake it was really something. We very much enjoyed that!
