We were looking for a place to have a family gathering for a special birthday for my husband. This cabin exceeded all of our expectations! It is a beautiful log cabin with a spectacular view of the Stuart Mountain Range. It had all the necessary amenities for hosting a family dinner for over 30 people. The home is warm and inviting. While we only had two families spending the night, it has enough space for many more, comfortably! The community is amazing this time of year with all the fall colors, we will be back in the winter so we can take advantage of the cozy fireplace and the sledding hill!!! Thank you so much for opening your lovely home to us!

The most amazing lodge for a winter getaway!

My husband, our two young boys and I planned a New Year's winter getaway to the Alpine Lodge with a few of our close family friends and had the most amazing time! The lodge is in the most pristine location and has beautiful views out every single window. The layout of the house is perfect to give families their own privacy/bathrooms while having enough common space to allow everyone to congregate together to play games, eat meals, etc. The kitchen was also very well-stocked and had plenty of glasses, plates, silverware, cooking ware, etc. I have to say the most notable feature though is the sledding hill built in the lodge's backyard. Especially with young children, the convenience of being able to get them bundled to go outside for an hour of sledding before they are cold and want a snack was absolutely perfect. :) Finally, the owners are incredibly responsive and do everything in their power to ensure you have a stress-free and enjoyable stay at their vacation home. They have a house cleaner they work with at every check-out and she also does an immaculate job at ensuring the lodge is ready for your arrival. All in all, we had zero complaints and are hopeful we started a new family tradition at the Alpine Lodge for years to come!

Disappointed - Would NOT stay again.

We would not stay here again. We booked for mid-February 2023 and stayed only 1 out of 3 planned nights. Despite the beauty of the surrounding area, this lodge’s standards have clearly slipped. The most unacceptable condition of the property was the unplowed driveway, which we emailed the owner a week prior to our stay to ensure there would be no issues getting to the cabin. We were reassured by Mark (the owner) that housekeeping plows the driveway. It was SOLID ice; a few inches think. Our mini-van couldn’t traverse the driveway. The 4x4 pickup made it up the ice sheet once, but it now has a new paint job after sliding down the ice and into one of the bushes on the low side of the driveway. The level of neglect of the driveway was unacceptable. My husband and I literally had to crawl on our hands and knees to get up the driveway because it was so slippery. We saw footprints going up the side of the driveway going underneath a bush, perhaps this is how housekeeping got to the cabin. Regardless, we couldn’t get to and from the cabin and do any of the other activities we had planned in the surrounding area. We did finally make it inside to discover crumbs in various rooms on the floor, stained sheets, cobwebs and dust in the master bedroom, the leather couch downstairs was ripped, huge wrinkles in the carpet that are tripping hazards, and trash in various cabinets/drawers. The oven was filthy and we had to clean out huge chunks of burnt food. The sheets were terrible. There were stains the size of a post-it notes on one of the twin beds as well as droplet stains on various pillow cases. I contacted Mark after arriving to tell him about the terrible condition of the driveway and he said it must have been the “freezing rain” the night before. He was very surprised the driveway was that bad. Again, it was clear this driveway was neglected. And it wasn’t freezing rain – there were no issues with any roads up to the cabin’s driveway and no sign of ice on any trees in the area. The final straw was when my elderly father slipped on the ice just walking outside the house at the top of the driveway (the flat parking area) and hit the back of his head. I contacted Mark again stating that we had to leave. He offered to put additional sand and salt down, but after the lackluster accommodations and inability to use the driveway to get in and out, we had enough. I hope this feedback will improve the interior of the cabin as well as the standards of the care.

This is a very nice cabin in a secluded forest and mountain area. The host is very responsive and accommodating. The property was clean and everything was in working order. The listing does indicate that there is Wi-fi available, but I think they mean that you get pretty good cell service. There is no internet access on the property so plan accordingly. The listing also has the little snowflake icon which you may think means air conditioning, but it only has central heating, not cooling. The cabin is well designed and insulated so even in the summer heat it doesn't get that hot inside. However, if you are used to AC it will be warmer than you are used to, especially upstairs.

A beautiful house, very solidly built. The house stayed remarkably cool even though it was quite hot. Well appointed and served 2 couples and 2 adult children very well. We were wishing we had a little more time to enjoy the stay - we were there for a wedding in Ellensburg. It is the perfect holing-up spot when you have noplace else to be! Check in was easy, communication was great. Highly recommend.

Snowy getaway

This was our second visit to this beautiful lodge. Both times our family enjoyed hours of sledding on the private hill complete with lights for night time fun. This is a well equipped comfortable home with lots of space for a large group. The owner was super welcoming and quick to respond to any questions. Another wonderful experience!

Wonderful home in a great location!

Our family of three spent a long weekend here to sled and play in the snow and we could not have had a better time! The sledding hill is SO fun and we spent many hours out there. Someone had built nearly an entire igloo out back which my 5 year old loved so much. The house is big and comfortable and when we weren't playing outside we were cuddled by the fire and cooking meals in the fully equipped kitchen. We loved the location of the house - super private but still easily accessible. We'll happily be back in the future!

Beyond expectations

We had a very high expectations coming to this place and everyone was just blown away. The house is fantastic so much room bedrooms are great. Kitchen was well stocked and the fireplace was perfect. There is a sledding hill right next to the house so you don’t have to go anywhere And the kids used it constantly so I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for some winter Wonderland fun

Christmas getaway!

This property listing doesn’t do this Cabin justice. It is completely updated inside and has so much more space than shown. Our family of 7 had an absolute blast and wish we could have extended our stay longer! We arrived at night to a plowed drive way, the house completely heated and all lights on for easy access. The owner mark and the house keeper Jessica were absolutely the nicest individuals ever. Great communication and excellent pre arrival information. May I also include the fact that our 5 kids and dog lived on the sled hill out back. It was a dream and worth every penny.We will be back next year! Thanks for the amazing vacation.

Labour day weekend

My family and my friends recently had the pleasure of spending Labor Day weekend at the Luxury Log Home near Suncadia in Cle Elum, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The check-in process was seamless and stress-free. The property manager provided clear instructions well in advance, and we were able to access the home without any issues. The keyless entry system was convenient, especially after a long drive. It was a great start to our weekend getaway The cleanliness of the property was impeccable. The log home felt warm and inviting, with every surface spotless, and the linens and towels were fresh. Misrepresentation of amenities

We rented this Vrbo for 4 nights. When I booked it, a hot tub and wifi were listed as amenities, both of which we specifically filtered for in our search. Upon arrival, it didn’t have either. It was a trip for a family if 11, which we spent months preparing for and the lack of those amenities had significantly negatively impacted our experience. When I notified the owner of the misrepresentation and requested partial reimbursement, he said that their owner dashboard doesn’t show hot tub or wifi and to take it up with Vrbo. Otherwise, nice property. Just not what we had hoped for.

I believe this is our 5th year going to the Mtn House. We Love it!! the kids sled all day along with adults into the evening. Family games and meals around the big Table. Outstanding Views on the front covered porch of the Mtns. A big roaring fire in the fireplace to cozy up to in the mornings and after sledding. Games for the kids downstairs . This is our second year staying in this cabin. The owners were wonderful and very responsive as always! LOVE the sledding hill (as did the kids). Great weekend trip!

Cabin was such a great get away for the weekend. We really appreciated that there were sleds we could use. While we didn't use the washer, we noticed that it was full of water (it seemed stuck or something) & smelled funky in the room it was in, not a big deal though. The kitchen was stocked with all the items we needed to cook some grub & we loved seeing the morning mist come through the trees. Thank you for the great time!
