White Oak Lodge (72 White Oak Road, Swanton) ist ein 6 Schlafzimmer, 3 Badezimmer Zugang zum See Blockhaus in der Nähe der Hauptteil des Sees, bis zu 12 Personen Platz finden. Es verfügt über eine eigene Anlegestelle Platz für 2 Boote und tiefen Wasser schwimmen über das Ende des Docks. Es liegt an einem abgeschiedenen Waldgrundstück befindet sich nicht direkt am See, aber nur einen kurzen Spaziergang die Straße hinunter und die Treppe hinunter führt Sie zu dem Dock nehmen. Die untere Ebene verfügt über 2 Schlafzimmer (König und Königin), ein Aufenthaltsraum mit Holzofen, Bad und einem Whirlpool auf der überdachten Veranda. Die Hauptebene besteht aus einem großen Wohnzimmer, Esszimmer, Küche, Bad und überdachte Veranda. Es gibt 4 Schlafzimmer (Queen, Queen, 2 Zwillinge, und doppelt) auf der oberen Ebene. Draußen ist ein Picknick-Bereich mit Gasgrill, Holzkohlegrill und Feuerstelle. Es ist in der Nähe von Deep Creek State Park.

Charming house, great location!

The house was great, a nice cozy cabin vibe but with lots of space, a hot tub and firepit. Only a few minutes from the bridge to the road up the lake and from the state park, which the owners include a pass for. Property owners were great to rent with, recommended!

Nice place for a bro-union

The house was very convenient & comfortable, and we enjoyed it as a base for our get-together. I only have some minor quibbles. For example, there was some conflicting information about firewood and towels in the info provided (both were provided at the house). Also, the area around the hot tub was a bit dirty but we just we just grabbed a broom and cleaned it up. Other than those very minor things, we very much enjoyed our stay.

Overall we loved the property. Very comfortable & quiet. Great area. Only slight problem was an ice storm hit the area. The driveway & steps were covered in ice. A bag of salt cured that. I broomed off when we left..

Weekend get away

We all loved the house! It was perfect for 11 of us ladies. The table in the dining room was nice for us all to sit around for breakfast and playing games in the evening. Location of the house was close to restaurants and shopping ! We even had 4 deer come into the back yard which was sweet to see ! Would definitely rent this house again !

Perfect for our group

The property worked very well for our extended family vacation. Plenty of bedrooms provided privacy when needed. The 3 bathrooms were appreciated with 10 people! The back deck was wonderful for coffee in the mornings and drinks in the evening. Not to mention a great place to read during the afternoon! The large dining room afforded us wonderful family time for dinners together. The hot tub got a lot of use, and was a big hit. The dock was great for swimming, and kayaking, and really appreciated when we rented a boat for the day! Note, bring your own kitchen towels! We were left one, which obviously wasn’t enough. Other than that small thing, the hosts were on point with any questions we had, both before and during our stay. All in all, a great place to stay. We will definitely be back.

Nice, comfortable, clean house!

The water pressure was extremely low when we first arrived but after a quick call to the management company, a service man came by and the problem was solved. Starter paper products and soaps were provided by the owner - very thoughtful! Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Lovely home and location

We had a great family vacation at John and Joyce's home. There is plenty of space in the home for everyone and plenty of games/movies in the house. It's a quiet and wooded location with easy access to the lake and regional activities. John and Joyce provided plenty of instructions to make the check-in and check-out as smooth as possible. We came at a time when we didn't need the window A/C units and the weather was perfect for a fall getaway. Would absolutely return!

Family vacation

Enough room for our large family. Furniture is old. Only children could sit on large couch because you sink almost to the floor. A frying pan of used oil was in the oven. Gas grill's bottom missing and only two burners worked. Two jets didn't work in hot tub. Air conditioning is window units and not every room had an air conditioner. It was very hot. Overall, needs updated.

Thanksgiving family gathering.

We had a wonderful time. The home had lots of space for all to go and visit or rest. Owners were very accommodating in letting one part of our party enter the home a little early as they had driven all the way from Maine with small children. There were lots of games to play and it’s a nice neighborhood to walk in. We didn’t go to the dock so can’t really comment on that. We just spent a lot of time visiting with family. We truly enjoyed having a place large enough to accommodate our ever growing family. We were a little concerned about some of the comments about the step stairs in the home as I had back surgery four weeks ago. However I had no trouble navigating the stairs. Thank you.

Check in was good. Hot tub had way too much chlorine in it. The hot tub also had a camera pointing down at it which we were very uncomfortable about. Boating dock was horrible. Steps were too steep and not well kept which was disappointing. Property was listed as private dock for 2 boats BUT it only had room for 1 boat. The owners let their friend park their boat there so we barely had no room for our boat and jet ski. We called them to complain but they did not have it moved. This was a HUGE inconvenience for us. Cell phone service isn’t too good. Rugs inside were covered in dog fur balls and it was not from our dogs. It was also listed as having AC BUT it only had 2 window room units upstairs in the single bed bedrooms. It was very hot through out the house especially in the kitchen. They do have a few box fans. It was nice to have a state park pass to go to the falls and launch our boat and jet ski. Washer and dryer are very small. Also, both of our dogs got fleas. Not sure if it was from outside of property or inside.

Perfect stay

This was a great stay in a very clean, nice and comfortable house. The listing was correct on all points, and communication with the owner was timely and very friendly. Location is great - 10 minutes from the touristy spots but far enough to not have crowds of people walking by. I would recommend this house and the owners any time. Thank you

Web site needs a quick fix

The house was nice but in places the web site says a king, 3 queens and 4 twins which is accurate. Elsewhere on the site it says a king 4 queens and 2 twins. In a 3 generation family like ours with multiple widowed and unmarried adults of different sexes knowing how many separate beds are available is important. It should be an easy fix. The house and property are lovely.

Cozy - but confusing

The house was so warm and cozy to stay in. A lot of the signage is a bit outdated and all say different things - specifically in regards to check out. We did use the email as it was the "most recent" information we had. The stairs were coated in ice and there was no salt in the home to help us remove it which made getting in and out with infants (a 7mo and 2yr) a little scary. The upstairs bathroom had some mold on the drywall above which set off a lot of our allergies. The hot tub was also VERY foamy, which made it pretty unbearable after about 10 minutes - which was unfortunate as it was definitely a feature that made us pick this home. However, the TV was nice, the kitchen was clean and very usable, even for 2-3 adults cooking/hanging out at once. The long dining table was perfect for having meals together and playing board games. The park pass was a nice addition and we did hike around the water falls. the multiple floors made it easy to be together when we wanted and separate when we needed. The large number of sizable bedrooms also made it easy for 3 small families (6 adults 2 babies) to have a cozy and fun weekend together.

Family vacation

The property was as expected, slightly older , but great with kids. The owners were very responsive to our needs. The deck porch was wonderful for coffee in the mornings and drinks in the evening. Beds were comfortable for all of us. Take paper products! One garbage bag plus the one in the can was no where near enough! We used at least 8 for a group of 10. Also, you will want to bring additional toilet paper and paper towel. Honestly, the knives sucked. Even after using the several honing stones, nothing was acceptable. I suggest you bring your own. On the other hand, the pots and pans were first rate! We also ended up buying a few dishtowels and dish clothes, as they only provide one of each. The dryer was pretty much MIA, but the owner did acknowledge he was aware of the situation, and was looking to replace it. The dock was within easy walking distance,and we could leave our kayaks there, which was a plus. Also, the kids were perfectly happy to swim from the docks! The fire pit was really nice, though we did have an issue with several of the chairs collapsing, due to the age and condition of the wood. The property was wonderful as far as location, quite close to the main thoroughfare, the park, and other attractions. The hot tub was very enjoyable! All in all, this was an excellent property for the price, and we would definitely book again. Also, plenty of parking, a big plus.

There is so much to do here if you enjoy outdoor activities. Swimming, boating, fishing, skiing (downhill and cross country) tubing, horseback riding, hiking, etc. The house is on a wooded lot of over an acre.
