This private cottage is a great fit for couples, solo travelers, remote workers, small families, or beach guests looking for a quiet, convenient place to relax after exploring Sarasota.

The cottage can sleep up to 4 guests, but it is best suited for 1–2 guests or a small group that is comfortable using the living room sleeping area.
The bedroom is bright, comfortable, and beachy, with soft bedding and a relaxed coastal feel. The living area gives you a place to unwind, stream a show, read, work on your laptop on the pop-up coffee table, or use the additional sleeping space if needed.
The kitchen area is set up for convenient short stays, beach trips, and longer visits. Coffee and basic essentials are provided to help make mornings easy.
The dining area features a new bar-top table w/ 2 padded bar-stools & can function as a dedicated workspace
The updated bathroom includes a walk-in shower with a ceiling-mounted rainfall showerhead, new vanity, fresh towels and the essentials needed for a comfortable stay.
The cottage is tucked in a Sarasota residential area near South Tamiami Trail, making it easy to get to beaches, restaurants, groceries, shops, and downtown.

Important: Before you arrive you will be asked to complete guest verification through third-party provider Truvi. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Truvi will contact you via email and/or text to complete the verification. Please do so prior to arriving at the property to enable a quick and easy check-in process. ***In regards to Florida's natural wildlife, floral and fauna, we will sometimes experience mosquitoes, ants, spiders, cockroaches, etc outside. We have regular pest treatments performed both inside & outside the units. We also personally, utilize bait, traps and sprays to keep these insects outside where they belong. Please don't keep windows without screens or doors open too long as you nay inadvertently let some inside. Should you come across any pests during your stay, please make us aware so we can address the situation. While it's rare to come across these pests inside, a refund will not be offered for the occasional occurrence. We always want you to be comfortable during your stay and you will find that we act quickly and with compassion to resolve any issues you have. We just need to be aware of it in order to resolve anything. ***

The location was exactly what I was looking for, close to beach and shopping. There were a few issues which, when corrected, would allow a “5 star” rating. Wi-Fi went out mid day every day, the washer stops mid cycle, the stove burners didn’t fit causing pans to tip, and the glass plate in the microwave didn’t fit and would not rotate.

Very cute and well-stocked place! Super clean. VERY responsive host. There were so many thoughtful little touches that made the stay go smoothly like hooks placed in just the right spots and little signs to guide you through the place. The host is also very receptive to feedback for constant improvement, which is evident in all those little details. Has a nice yard area and a clothes washer and dryer. Just know that this is a BACK HOUSE, so enter through the side gate and through the backyard rather than the front doors of the units. Great find!

The stay at the lil john coastal cottage was great. It was exactly as described and had everything provided that was listed. It was clean and well stocked and had everything I needed. There was coffee provided and even some breakfast items. The Wi-Fi was fast and allowed me to stream movies at night and work during the day. The cottage is located in the backyard of a main duplex so it's a shared space but it was peaceful and quiet. The screened in front porch was a nice feature and I enjoyed my coffee in the mornings there. There was also a stacked washer and dryer on the front patio which was great to have. They even supply laundry detergent and dryer sheets for use. Check in with very easy as there are detailed instructions sent prior to arrival along with a digital welcome guide app that gives you alot of info on the unit and the area. Overall a great stay and would definitely stay here again.

The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and has families and multi-generational residents. Its walkable to restaurants and Trader Joes grocery. It is also very close to Siesta Key and the beach but far enough away to not worry about most storms and flooding. Its important to understand that its a privilege to stay in a residential neighborhood when on vacation, holiday or while working remotely or otherwise. Please be respectful of neighbors and observe quiet hours. Complaints will be dealt with by warning and then asking you and your guests to leave if repeated complaints occur
