Perfect place to relax! Property is so pretty and so close to stores and restaurants. New Paltz and Kingston are fun to explore. House was great! Kitchen had everything we needed for vacation cooking, bed and furnishings so comfortable. Everything was was in great shape and clean.Back porch was my favorite place to have morning coffee.Ray is a gracious host and we loved the eggs from his lovely chickens.

Charming farmhouse

We had a delightful stay at this property. The setting is beautiful, overlooking a pond with a large yard. We enjoyed walking on the mow grass pathway around the pond. Seeing the chickens walking around freely and a butterscotch cat added all the more to the old farmhouse feel. The rooms are well appointed and the kitchen had everything we needed. Our last day and a half occurred during very hot weather, but the air conditioning handled it without any trouble.Ray was very responsive to our questions and was very generous to honor our requests. He even gave us a half dozen very fresh eggs that we enjoyed for breakfast.This unit is only a few minutes away from the heart of the New Paltz village but it has a very rural feel. We highly recommend it.

Great location

Stayed while touring SUNY New Paltz. A very short and easy drive to the college and town. Property was nice and peaceful. House was cozy with a lot of fun decorative pieces. Ray was a very welcoming and kind host.

Convenient and Comfortable

Communication from the start was friendly and informative! The house is located in a great location within 30 minutes of everything that we wanted to do, beds were comfortable, shower was great, and we enjoyed walking around the property seeing the potting shed and the chickens. While the weather buried from very cold to sunny and warm for late March, we found the house to be stocked with blankets and wish we had made use of the wood stove. Ray is fantastic and we really enjoyed this stay in New Paltz! Highly recommend the Westwind Cidery, Garvin's, and the hikes at Mohonk - we even saw 2 Bald eagles and their nests!

Wonderful!

Our family loved staying here! It was perfect for a family of four: from having 3 beds, to a large living room where we played games, to a kitchen with everything we needed to make breakfasts and dinner. The host was very nice, the property is beautiful, and we would definitely stay here again!

Great Dirt

This is a wonderful country farm house built in the 1800's but renovated with all the luxuries of a modern house. The property it sits on is beautiful with a pond and trails and a welcoming committee of six free range chickens... the ladies. The owner is friendly and communicates promptly. This made our stay very special. Don't miss the experience!

Lovely quiet sweet little house

Such a neat little cottage. We loved the quiet and peaceful surroundings and the homey feel of the place. Handmade quilts on the twin beds, fabulous chicken art, woodstove, comfy big chairs and couch. Ray brought us eggs our first morning, laid by the small but beautiful flock. Thanks for such a comfortable and friendly stay - it was just our kind of place!

Wonderful!

Ray's place offers the best of both worlds. It's quiet and secluded, but only minutes from the shops and restaurants in New Paltz. If cycling is on your agenda and you don't mind a short distance on road, you can pick up the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail less than a mile away. We recommend starting the day with coffee on the back deck. It's beautiful out there. The house is well-appointed. The kitchen had everything that we needed and then some. The beds were extremely comfortable. The same goes for the living room furniture. Ray has created a wonderful experience for his guests and is a gracious and accessible host. We will return.

Beautiful Spot, Great Host

Ray takes a lot of pride in this beautiful place. Old renovated farmhouse tastefully remodeled, furnished and decorated. Nice covered deck with lovely views and comfy adironacks, bbq, table etc. The fresh eggs from the coop is a nice added touch. Highly recommend.

Lovely property in serene setting

Very comfortable and thoughtfully decorated house, well stocked with everything you might need, with a cute back porch overlooking a beautiful lawn and long pond. Such a special time!

My husband and I wanted a few days with our oldest son before dropping him off for his Junior year at West Point. Ray's place was perfect for us! We had our own entrance to the entire lower floor of a 2 story house on the large property. The house was well equipped and thoughtfully decorated. My husband enjoyed the Hudson Valley books. I loved the big window looking out to the pond. The three of us enjoyed the fresh eggs, walking the property, sitting on the back porch, grilling one evening and simply being together. Thank you Ray!
