We enjoyed our stay. The unit is very nicely decorated and we had fun with the video game. Once the kids went to bed we had fun playing the board games. We were just staying one night while we traveled so we really appreciated that Detra offers a one night stay. Thank you!

I’m not sure where the positive reviews came from on this - I’ve never had a bad experience with a rental but it was dirty/dusty/not swept, sheets were haphazardly put on the bed, smelled like weed, AC units didn’t cool the room with two beds and host didn’t respond to messages in app during stay. It didn’t feel like a safe area either.

Great place to stay

Everything about this place was amazing for my families stay. Easy to get to, friendly location, clean and the hostess has amazing and fast response communication. My family and I would 100% stay here again.

Check in was super easy and communication was great! The air units helped keep the hot weather out we were happy there was a place to get our laundry done. Our kids loved the arcade game as well!

Our host was very responsive and helpful when needed. Check in was super easy. The location is about 15 to 20 mins away from most attractions... Which is perfect if you're wanting to be close to the city but not necessarily down town.

Detra was a phenomenal host who went above and beyond providing detailed care during our stay. The property was just as listed with sweet added touches throughout! Clean, beautifully furnished with tons of amenities. My kids loved the arcade game! Will definitely book with Detra again!

We chose this VRBO because the listing described it as "quiet and serene," and the photos made it look like a great place to stay. Unfortunately, our experience was the complete opposite.After attending the Cincinnati Reds vs. Chicago Cubs game, we arrived around 11:00 p.m. exhausted and overheated. The building was anything but quiet. There was a loud party in the downstairs apartment, and despite the listing mentioning a secured entrance, someone was sitting at the entrance smoking and simply let people in and out.When we entered the apartment, every air conditioning unit had been turned off. Since there is no central air, the apartment was extremely hot and took quite a while to cool down.Although our group ended up being four people instead of the five we had originally planned, only three towels were provided for a two-night stay, which was not adequate.Cleanliness was also disappointing. I took photos showing dirt in the bathroom, a picture frame in one of the bedrooms that had fallen off the wall and was simply leaning against it, and noticeable stains on the living room couch. My daughter slept on the couch and could clearly hear every conversation from the downstairs apartment, along with frequent train noise throughout the night. It was anything but the peaceful, quiet stay we expected.The neighborhood wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't somewhere we felt especially comfortable.I've stayed in many VRBO properties over the years, and this was by far my wo

Very Impressed

We were all very impressed with the home as well as the effort of the host. We were supplied plenty of coffee and shower products as well as a welcome basket. The apartment was very clean, it smelt great, and was in a safe neighborhood. The walls were thin, we could hear each other's conversations if they were louder than a whisper but that wasn’t an issue as we were an adult only group. There is a train near by that we could hear a few times a night but it never woke me up. This was an excellent stay, I would definitely book again.

The place was fairly clean but there were so many air fresheners that it made our food taste like air fresheners (after we unplugged as many as we could find) and our cloths and bags absorbed the smell. It made our son have itchy eyes and feel sick. The air fresheners might have been covering some smoke (either in the place or from the neighbors). The trains were very loud and not mentioned in the listing so if you have light sleepers I would not recommend. The host was attentive to messages. One safety concern was that the front door didn’t automatically shut so it was wide open when we arrived after 10 pm one night. The kids love the arcade and candy that was left out.
