Overall, our stay was okay. Our first impression was that it felt cozy, and the views were beautiful. We especially enjoyed the hot tub, the grill, and the easy dock access. As our stay went on, though, we felt there were a few things that weren’t accurately described. The listing refers to it as a cabin, but it is actually a trailer home, which was unexpected. There were several cracks where larger bugs were getting inside, and we noticed quite a few gnats and other bugs from the moment we arrived. There were several old spiderwebs throughout the inside and outside of the house that just should be knocked down before a guest starts their stay. The shower drain didn’t work properly, and there was a section of the ceiling in the back room that looked like it may have water damage and was beginning to sag. There was hand soap provided, but there wasn’t enough body wash for the number of guests staying at the property.Additionally, in the back room there was a AC unit on the window/wall and it was dripping water on to the bed.Overall, while there were definitely things we enjoyed about the property, we were a bit underwhelmed by the condition and cleanliness. With a few maintenance repairs, better pest control, and more attention to cleaning and supplies, it could be a much better experience.
