Take a break during your travels or plan a getaway in Southeast Arizona. If you love wine, you'll be pleased to know that we are located on the Willcox Wine Trail, which boasts over 15 local wineries and tasting rooms. This area is also popular for activities such as hiking, rock climbing, and mountain biking, with Cochise Stronghold (the home of Apache chief Cochise) just a half hour away and the Chiricahua National Monument an hour away. For an authentic Wild West experience, visit historic Tombstone, which is only 45 minutes away. Additionally, you can visit the beautiful Amerind Museum, located just down the road or the Rex Allen Museum in historic Willcox 30 minutes away. Kartchner Caverns located near Benson is also 30 minutes away. There is a meditation hut for quiet reflection as well as an area for walks and quick exploring (plan to wear tall boots and long pants if exploring).
Tucson International Airport is one hour away.
The historic Butterfield train line is still very active and very close to the property. Experience a close-up view as the trains pass on the historic route. We are in a quiet zone but the trains do rumble.
Please note, this property is in rural Arizona. You will likely see wildlife to observe and enjoy while staying here.

In February 2017, our family embarked on a memorable trip to Bisbee, Arizona, where we had the opportunity to explore Tombstone and its surroundings. Despite our initial preference for Sedona, the charm of the area captivated us, prompting us to search for a place to call our own. We ultimately discovered the perfect home in Dragoon and quickly became immersed in the community, forming lasting friendships.
During our time there, we developed a special bond with our neighbor, Grace. Her warm welcome of "Welcome home" always made us feel special. Tragically, Grace passed away in 2021 at the age of 100. We were fortunate to acquire her home and have decided to transform it into a vacation rental, carrying on her legacy.
At Warry Mountain Haven, Grace's Place, and Lizzie Marie's, we strive to uphold Grace's spirit and create an inviting space for our guests to experience the same sense of belonging that she so graciously extended to us. We hope to maintain the quite peacefulness of the vintage home and beautiful property while extending comfort to our guests.
