Welcome to The Fox Den @ The 258! Located 10 minutes from downtown Farmville, VA on 258 acres - direct access to the High Bridge Trail State Park. Only minutes away from the colleges of Longwood & Hampton Sydney, Greenfront Furniture, Sandy River Reservoir, Sandy River Outdoor Adventure Park & Distillery, Saylors Battlefield State Park, 5 Miles to the High Bridge. Newly Renovated in 2023 - Fully Stocked, Amazing Kitchen, Outdoor Firepit w/Solo Stove.

The space

The cottage has just been completely renovated and stocked for the ultimate getaway.

*Enjoy the large, covered, front porch with twin size hanging porch swing to curl up with a book or take the ultimate outdoor nap. There are two other porch chairs with ottomans and side tables.

*The covered side porch, which can be accessed from Bedroom #2, has two relaxing Adirondack chairs that look over the old Paradise Apple tree.

*Kitchen - WOW! Fully stocked kitchen with upscale appliances, Kutch gas stove, quartz counters, fireclay sink, amazing backsplash, open shelving, window seat and a wood dining table that folds out to create a larger table. All cooking supplies are available including spices, oil, sugar, flour and much more! Electric kettle, blender, toaster, mini waffle maker, coffee maker with all coffee supplies (creamers, sugar, sweeteners, coffee).

*Sectional sofa, ottoman, large flat screen tv on a farmhouse tv stand that has an electric fireplace, round chair, games, books, the perfect place to relax and unwind.

*Two bedrooms, each with a king size bed, night stands on both sides of the bed with lights, charging stations, small fans in the nightstand drawer, sound machine in each room, open closet system with shelves.

*Bathroom with hardwood floors, artistic Kohler sink with quartz counter, lighted makeup mirror, subway tile shower with glass shower door, bottled shampoo, conditioner and soaps provided (please leave for the next guest).

*Washer/Dryer - located in the bathroom with pods and fabric softener sheets.

*Outdoor Solo Stove Fire-pit area with Adirondack chairs and bench seating. Beautiful setting overlooking the open fields and woods.

*Grill area outside of the kitchen door access. Propane Gas Grill with table for all your grilling needs!

The cottage is located on 258 acres. The property is used by our family at certain times for off road motorcycle riding and horseback riding. If you are staying at our property and we are out there riding we will not be anywhere near the cottage but down the road and out of site. Just be aware that we might be on the property during your stay.

Guest access

During the winter you can access the property trails but we ask that you wear one of the orange vests provided for your use. The best trail to use is the High Bridge Trail that goes thru Rice, VA and onto the actual High Bridge. Take a left on the High Bridge Trail and it is 5 miles to the High Bridge and the Appomattox River and 10 miles to Farmville.

The cottage is located on 258 acres. The property is used by our family at certain times for off road motorcycle riding and horseback riding. If you are staying at our property and we are out there riding we will not be anywhere near the cottage but down the driveway towards the creek and out of site. Just be aware that we might be on the property during your stay.
