Nestled just 500 metres from the stunning Henderson Lagoon and Steels Beach in Falmouth on Tasmania's East Coast, our Cottage by the Sea offers a serene seaside retreat. Built in 1910, this lovingly restored Federation cottage retains its original charm while incorporating modern comforts for a truly unique stay. With its curated interiors and vintage touches, the cottage exudes an old-world charm. From the expansive 2.5-acre property, you can enjoy breathtaking views of The Sisters mountain range.

The Space
Perfect for families and pet-friendly, the cottage accommodates up to six guests. It features three generously sized bedrooms, all equipped with comfortable beds and linens. The two front bedrooms offer cosy queen-sized beds, while the third bedroom includes two king single beds and a workspace, ideal for those needing a quiet place to catch up on work or for kids to play.
After a day of exploring the local attractions, unwind in the cosy lounge room in front of the wood fire heater. The lounge is stocked with books, card games, and puzzles for your enjoyment. For added comfort, there’s also a heat pump/air conditioner. Entertainment options include a TV with local channels, Chromecast for streaming from your device, and free Wi-Fi throughout your stay.
The sunny kitchen, overlooking the garden area, comes equipped with a Weber BBQ and a firepit, perfect for outdoor cooking and gatherings. You’ll also find a selection of tea, coffee, and basic pantry staples to make your stay even more comfortable. While the bathroom is yet to be renovated, it’s fully functional with a step-in shower and vanity.

Other things to note:
Please be aware that the price per night adjusts when more than two guests stay. This is to cover the extra costs involved with having extra people stay. Please be mindful of this when you book and make sure you accurately book for the number of guests staying.

Guest Access
You’ll have full access to the entire cottage and its surrounding grounds during your stay. The property spans one hectare, providing plenty of space to explore. While only the front and back gardens surrounding the cottage are fenced, the expansive grounds offer ample room to roam. Additionally, there’s a laundry room at the rear of the cottage, complete with a washing machine and dryer for your convenience. Please note that a couple of sheds on the property are not accessible to guests.
