Fantastic Family Vacation

Absolutely Amazing

The place was incredible! Mitch and his team were spectacular! We had a small scheduling conflict and they were so attentive and helpful it blew us away. They helped with excursions, personal chef and more. The views and cleanliness of the property was awesome as well. Thanks Mitch and crew!

Spacious Home

Our stay here was great. There were 11 of us (adults and kids) and there was plenty of room for all to sleep, and several common areas to relax, play cards, or watch television. 2 laundry rooms were very helpful. The pool and hot tub area had plenty of shade. The concierge, property manager, and housekeeper all helped make the experience worry-free. It was a short drive to shopping and beaches, and the nearby Mar Vista restaurant was very good. We had a few small hitches, but all were quickly addressed and remedied. Highly recommend this home!

Incredible views!!!

We absolutely fell in love with this area of Costa Rica. Mar Vista is a little sanctuary in the hills. The house was absolutely magical. Plenty of space, views from everywhere, perfect layout for our group. We have never been back to the same place but we couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else when we return! Exceptional.

Beautiful villa with lots to do with friends

We stayed as a group of 4 families with kids of ages 3-11. The pool, the media room, the play room, the basketball and tennis... All were a huge hit with the kids. That left the adults free to enjoy the gorgeous view and sunsets and cook amazing dinners in the open footprint kitchen and outdoor area. I highly recommend the place!

Incredible House

Staff was excellent, especially Ariana and Maria. Everything about the house was phenomenal. Location was a bit remote without access to vehicle but we made it work. Only issue at all was access to groceries/beach. The beach, restaurant, and grocery/liquor stores are too far to walk so we needed to arrange for transportation every time we needed something and that was not as easy as we hoped. If we had a rental car it wouldn't have been an issue as those things aren't that far. We decided we didn't want to rent a car as we weren't familiar with the area but if we did it again, we would definitely get at least one vehicle for short trips to the store/town. The location itself is incredible with phenomenal views but resupplying groceries/drinks was a little bit of a challenge without a vehicle at our disposal. Overall, maybe the best family vacation we've had and the accommodations were incredible. We spent a lot of time in the beautiful pool, game room, and bar/deck area playing cards. Wonderful family experience.

Paradise in Costa Rica

Casa Symbiotica was the nicest house we’ve ever stayed in. The view was magnificent. The house is essentially separated into two areas: the bedrooms on one side and the entertainment area on the other (kitchen, living room, outside bar and grill, weight room). The house was perfect for a large family get together. It also has a movie theater room and game room with darts, ping pong table, and pinball machine. Needless to say it was hard to leave this place!

Heaven on Earth

We have stayed in many high end homes ranging from 6500 sq.ft. to 15,000 sq.ft all over the world and Casa Symbiotica is at the top of our list of places to stay. Walking in the front door is as exhilarating as the last with the spectacular view over the infinity edge pool to the Pacific. The living space and bedroom areas are very well thought out and perfect for large to multiple families. The quaint towns within easy driving distance have fantastic restaurants and night life for all ages. If you are a surfer or aspiring surfer, you must stay here!

Great Friend Trip!

We had a great stay in an absolutely beautiful home! It’s breathtaking to walk in the front door for the first time. We thought it was a great floor plan to have one side of the house as the common living areas and the other side with the bedrooms. We had 17 ppl in our group with a broad range of kids, and every age group had a blast. This house is very kid friendly. The concierge service was very easy to communicate with and really did all the hard work for me. Lastly, the maid for the house was so sweet and always had a smile. She was truly a blessing to have around.

BEST VACATION EVER

This vacation home was everything our group could imagine. The house was absolutely beautiful and clean. The view from the home is AMAZING. The house was very comfortable and there was 12 of us. The kitchen and dining area was large, which was a plus for us. Although the house was great, the hospitality was the best. The housekeepers, and concierge made sure we had everything that we needed and made whatever we wanted to do happen. They planned all of our transportation and excursions. We have not one complaint about the home, everything was beautiful!

Magnificent Views

This house offers spectacular views and a very convenient location, close to great beaches, shopping and many excellent restaurants. Home has everything you would need for a great vacation! Perfect for our family get together (12 adults/teens). Property Owner, Mitch, was easy to communicate with and very accommodating to any needs we had. Ariana, who kept the house clean was fantastic and offered us some great ideas for daily excursions. 4 star rating instead of 5 star was due to a few relatively minor maintenance issues that were not addressed until after our stay was over, but this didn't stop us from really enjoying the house and having an excellent time!

Fabulous experience

Our family of six had a wonderful experience at Casa Symbiotica. The home was immaculate and the amenities surpassed any five-star hotel. The service that was provided through Tropical Homes was also excellent. It felt like having your own personal concierge. The views from the home were spectacular as we enjoyed a perfect sunset every evening. We loved the layout of the home, particularly the large kitchen, swimming pool, and the separation of the sleeping quarters from the living quarters. We highly and strongly recommend staying at this home when you come to visit Costa Rica.

Paradise Found

This home was more beautiful than I could have imagined! When I walked into the front door, the view was breathtaking. I was welcomed by the ocean and a beautiful infinity pool. The house was beautifully appointed with a gourmet kitchen perfect for our private Chef to prepare meals which was organized for us. We started our morning with a workout in their fully equipped gym with beautiful views. After lounging at the pool all day we went for a walk over to the tennis courts where we saw monkeys in the trees! It was an amazing experience. We can't wait to go back!

You want luxury? It's right here.

First of all, the house is exactly like the pictures you see on VRBO. As we know, this is not always the case. Perfect for group of friends or large families. High-end everything. We truly felt spoiled. You could hang out all day on this property, but there is plenty to do locally. Have a beach day, go golfing, mountain biking or walk around the local towns, which all felt completely safe. We would not hesitate for a second to rent here again. I only hope it would be available.

The Search for the Perfect Vacation Spot Ends at Casa Simbiótica

I have traveled all over the world looking for the perfect vacation spot. I finally found it in Casa Simbiótica. This home is truly high-end and luxurious. The views surrounding the property are breathtaking and reflective of the most beautiful views I have ever seen. The home is comfortable and the services are outstanding (including a full-time housekeeper). Although there are many great restaurants nearby, the best meal we had was prepared in the home by a local chef. This and all other requests were met with a smile and the results consistently exceeded expectations. I have recommended this home to several friends that use VRBO to book stays in luxury homes around the world. Casa Simbiótica consistently ranks at or near the top of their favorite experiences.

Why stay in a hotel, when you can live in a PRIVATE LUXURY HOME with all the amenities of a hotel?

We have been to Costa Rica a few times over the years and always stayed at a 5 star hotel. This time we stayed at a 10 STAR HOME! This home is wonderfully situated on top of a mountain affording you the most dramatic, breathtaking views of both mountain, and ocean. The finished are top notch, the home was immaculate, and the attention to detail was never spared. The infinity pool was amazing, we could walk out from the Master suite and dive right in. While we certainly joined in the touristy activities, my favorite part of the trip were our times spent at the house. There is a great work out room, and wonderful theater room, but I could not imagine looking a screen in lieu of our beautiful view! I would highly recommend this home to you. This home is private and luxurious!

HEAVEN ON EARTH!!

From start to finish, our experience in Costa Rica was among one of the most amazing life to date. This home is located in beautiful Playa Flamingo and has EVERYTHING you need and more. The management/concierge staff goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure a once in a lifetime luxury experience; from private chef, maid services, tours, etc. they have you covered. With this amazing set-up and resort like home you really don't even need to leave the house to have an amazing time. Having stayed in luxury homes elsewhere, I can honestly say this experience/stay takes the cake!! We are ready to plan our next trip back to paradise, and cannot wait to visit CR again! Christmas holiday

Gorgeous home in an incredible setting. Very private, gated, peaceful. Design of home is amazing with one side dedicated to sleeping and another dedicated to living. We especially liked the views, pool, spacious accommodations, how well equipped the kitchen was, and the movie theatre, basketball court and the most lovely housekeeper. Highly recommend! Our recommendation for improvement is two-fold. One: to have everything working or note it is broken during the walk through. Nothing was noted to us so we were surprised when we turned on the grill and saw flames shoot out from the knob, that the treadmill inconsistently worked, that several movie theatre chairs did not work and that the hot tub never got above 96 (even though it says it does). We expected the house to have better water pressure and hotter water in the showers. For example the bathroom at the very far side of the house we could only get warm water if the shower was turned at halfway. With no door it was sometimes cold. Two: We would have appreciated if we could recycle at the house. We were surprised in Costa Rica that this was not an option. This is a house best for people who can easily do stairs (given 2 bedrooms have steep stairs for access or access to a bath) and it might be good to note this so people are aware before booking.

Unbelievable Vacation Home

Us, along with two other families, rented Casa Symbiotica over spring break. The owner, Mitch, and tropical homes were a pleasure to communicate with and very helpful. The home is even prettier than the pictures. We loved the division of the living/kitchen area and bedrooms in two different houses. We felt extremely secure and safe, as there is a manned gate along with another coded gated entrance. The view is spectacular! The outdoor living area, dining area, grill and pool were amazing. The kids loved the diving board! The house manager provided us with pre-stocking of groceries and lined up an amazing chef (Ander) who prepared meals beyond our expectations and his dishes were on par with the nicest restaurants in Houston. The location was great with lots of activities (surfing, zip lining, etc) just a short drive from the house. We throughly enjoyed Costa Rica and would definitely recommend the house!
