Home away from Home

This place is perfect! Our boys fished their little hearts out day and night, nice catch and releases too. Very spacious, and clean. Beds are comfortable. Will definitely bed back!

Host was to send me a check-in code before 11am. At 6pm, I was still on the phone with VRBO trying to access the property. After a hard day, we were ready to check in & relax. Instead, we had to drive 2hrs home. Host would not answer call, text or email. He wouldn't answer the VRBO staff, either. Totally ghosted. I travel a lot. NEVER had this happen. This host is also on another popular rental platform. Apparently, he left all his negative reviews behind on Vrbo. Beware.

Make sure you bring pots and pans and knives

Missing essential kitchen utensils. Couldnt cook anything on stove top because there was no pans. Only 1 knife for the house. And no oven mits. No wifi password that worked and no washer or dryer.

This guy made up excuses to get a refund, even though there were plenty of knives, pans, and other items. The description also stated that there was no washer or dryer, yet he also removed the TV line from the wall, put a hole in the wall and misplaced all the decorations. And went in the other log home without asking permission and made a mess This was a very unprofessional visitor.

Beautiful Views

Stayed at the location for 2 days with my siblings. We range in age from 67-77. The location is easy and the property has lovely views. The space inside was perfect for us to hang out together and I would book again. There are some things lacking that if I knew ahead of time I would have brought with me, however a quick trip to Dollar store took care of most. Bring your own linens. There were only mattress pad and a straight sheet in the bed. If you plan to cook, you need to bring your pans and there were no knives, butter or cutting. May want to also bring towels, there was only one per person and no wash clothes. I did buy wash cloths, pot holders and bar towels for the kitchen and left there.

Disappointed

A few of the windows didnt close and house had bugs on bed and all over curtains. Moldy coffee grounds still in coffee maker. No wash clothes in bathrooms. No kitchen towels. Dirty dishes in dishwasher. Couldnt cook on stove, 1 small pan not compatible with stove. Grass was very long and unkept. No smoke detecters as indicated in listing. Would not stay here again.

She is upset because I charge her hundred dollars after she broke Vase top, there are plenty wash, towel and she used all of them and there’s no dirty dishes in the dishwasher Whatsoever . The house is spotless before she moved in. Also house is in countryside, there are bugs, but not inside of the house, all window or shut. she’s never welcome to the house as well, it is all about principal and respect peopl property.

So much potential

Let me start by saying I’d stay here again. The property needs some finishing touches and it could be amazing. This is a nice place in a rural area.Con: Beautiful non-functional kitchen. Induction cook tops require special pots and pans. The place had none. I had to go into town and purchase a pot/pan.Con: No extra towels. 1 per person. If you have girls you know this is an issue.Con: TV remote partially works (could never go left)Con: the place is for sale so it might not be available in the further.Pro: large bedrooms, WiFi, 3 bedrooms, great outdoor space, grill, fire pit/ fire ring, close to town, restaurants, shopping.Pro: wildlife - deer, deer in the morning. Deer in the evening.Pro: tree swing for the kids, soccer goals, ping pong table.
