This Mid Century Modern A Frame is on trend & has been renovated for you to enjoy. You will find it is the one of the most unique places to stay in Southern Illinois. Our three themed bedrooms are super fun. The "Daisy Cottage" on the main level is soft and romantic. The lower level bedroom has the soul of a Bohemian. We call her "The Gypsy Room". The loft, or as we like to call it, "The Crow's Nest" is a walk on the wild side and now is affectionately named the "Jungle" Room. All bedrooms have king sized beds. The lodge has the kitchen, dining room and living room on the main level. Our custom decor will have you falling in love with the inside as much as the outside. This lake side property is equipped with a dock to fish from, covered hot tub and BBQ area. The lakeside fire pit area has a custom totem pole, carved with wildlife from our area. Our property sits next to Shawnee National Forest, Trails of Tears State Forest and LaRue Pine Hill, which has thousands of acres for exploring. Our lower level game room has a retro design perfect for hanging with your friends. Feel free to spin our vintage records, play games, have a cup of coffee while watching the fish play. We have bass, bluegill, catfish and crappie. We have wild life including hoot owls, deer, and the occasional bald eagle. Southern Illinois is a great location for birdwatching. The Shawnee Hills Wine Trail is a hop, skip and a jump away. The Shawnee Shittle can pick you up at the door step to enjoy the wine trail, & deliver you safely back. Margie B's Mid Mod Lake Lodge was built in 1970. The renter must be at least 25 years of age. Safety features include: security camera facing driveway, first kit, fire extinguisher, lighted outdoor areas. Please read our rental agreement prior to booking.

Note: While our home features multiple bedrooms, it’s not intended as a group lodging facility. We charge per guest—not per room—to preserve the elevated standard of our property and guest experience. We can host up to 6 guests
