Egal, ob Sie einen romantischen Kurzurlaub oder ein familienfreundliches Treffen suchen, unsere neu gestaltete Hütte ist Ihr perfekter Zufluchtsort aus der Stadt. Dies ist das perfekte Ziel, wenn Sie abseits der Menschenmassen und des Verkehrs in Big Bear und doch nahe genug sind, um einen ruhigen Seeurlaub zu verbringen. Oder möchten Sie einfach nur einen ruhigen Ausflug in die Berge mit einfachem Zugang zu einem friedlichen Spaziergang rund um den See. Keine lauten Partys.

Wir bevorzugen es, an Personen zu vermieten, die ein wenig über sich selbst und die Art ihres Aufenthalts berichten. Diese Hütte ist etwas ganz Besonderes für unsere Familie und wir betrachten jeden Gast als einen Besuch bei Freunden. Bitte geben Sie bei Ihrer Anfrage das Alter jedes Gastes in Ihrer Gruppe an, der jünger als 25 Jahre ist. Zusätzliche Gäste, die nach der bestätigten Reservierung zu Ihrer Gruppe hinzugefügt werden, müssen registriert und bezahlt werden. Andernfalls gehen Anzahlung und zusätzliche Gebühren verloren.

Great stay

Cute cabin with everything you need. Love the separate bedrooms down below from kitchen/family room. It’s very clean and beds are comfortable. Quiet neighborhood! We would definitely stay again. There are lots of stairs, but we are in great shape.

There are many issues with this cabin:1) The location for this cabin is terrible. The turning in is extremely pointy narrow street, you cannot turn it in the first time, you have to back it up in order to turn in. 2) It was exhausting to carry your stuffs from the car to the cabin, because too many stairs to climb. By the time you settled down, you already worn out. So I suggested guest to rent the cabin that has the parking spot or driveway in front of the house/entrance otherwise, you’re going to be dog-tired.3) Speaking about parking spot, this is another issue that we faced it. The parking is outrageously steep and narrow, we had to find a big sturdy bricks to put under our rear wheels to secure our car from sliding down (it is unnecessary, but better be safe than sorry). 4) the cabin is not as spacious as it seems on the picture.5) the glass on the wall has a big crack, it can easily break and shatter and that’s dangerous especially you have small children.6) the host requests too much cleaning from the guest before checking out, the cleaning should be included in the renting fee already, I don’t think that is fair for the guest to do.Please see attached photos.
As you can see, the main floor is all the way up top, you have to climb up all those stairs to get your stuffs to the top, and that’s going to wear you out. It’s just NOT WORTH IT to climb that many stairs on your vacation. You need rest, not workout

We have hosted over 700 happy groups at Huckleberry over the past 10 years. Unfortunately, this guest was the most unpleasant one we've had. She sent us frequent rude messages before and during her stay with questions that are answered on our info sheet. Our cabin does have a lot of steps. We love climbing up into the treehouse-like setting to enjoy the great views! But those who don't like steps will likely prefer a different place. Our driveway is on a slope, like many on the mountain. Normally it is easy to drive on. When there is fresh snow or ice, chains may occasionally be required (this guest didn't bring the required chains to the mountain in winter). Our cleaning list is very standard. Wash dishes (we have a dishwasher), empty the fridge of your food, put trash in the bins outside. Our cleaner (we pay her $125, but we only charge the guest $90!), requires these things to be done, and then she takes care of the rest. The grill with the loose handle was left by the previous guest. We are not able to provide a grill because grilling on a balcony (with trees hanging overhead) is not permitted on the mountain. The gaps in a small section of the floor near the big windows are indeed unfortunate. We replaced all of the panels once, but the sun exposure seems to cause them to warp. While not ideal, we find that most guests are willing to overlook this small cosmetic issue considering our very competitive rates. Ultimately, we feel that this 1 star rating outlier says more about this guest than about our cabin. We look forward to welcoming many more families to our cabin in the future for a pleasant stay on the mountain.

Living in a Christmas postcard

I absolutely loved this cabin! My son who is 7 didn’t want to leave! I didn’t know there would be Christmas decorations & a Christmas tree was more than I expected! I don’t think the pictures do the cabin justice they are accurate but once your there the cabin is just so charming & has that family feel to it. Bryant & Margret responded quickly to every question which was awesome. The cabin does have lots of stairs getting in so if you have any issues with stairs I would say that is the only thing you’d need to consider. There was a tubing park just 10mins away as well as snow valley which was so much fun. I really ft like we were living in a Christmas postcard it was so beautiful.

Relaxing and Family Friendly

We had such a wonderful stay in GVL. The property is so warm and welcoming. Our 4 year old enjoyed playing with all of the toys and sleeping in the teepee. It is so close to the lake. Walking, fishing, paddle boating... Such a cute small town and yet so close to Big Bear and Arrowhead. It was such a treat to stay here. We will definitely look to rent the property again. Lovely spot near the lake

Green Valley Lake was beautiful and quiet. The house was very clean and we appreciated the owners’ reassurance that the house cleaners are taking extra precautions to sanitize given COVID. We loved sitting on the deck among the trees, and you can even see a bit of the lake from there. It was a nice, relaxing getaway for us all. Thank you!

Bomb Cyclone in Green Valley Lake

We stayed here Thanksgiving weekend during a horrendous storm. Power was out in all GVL for 20 hours. We were in constant contact with Bryant and he was SUPER helpful, doing everything he could possibly do to help us from the power outage to snow plowing information. He was always concerned for OUR safety. Could not ask for more accommodating owners. The cabin was spacious and had all the amenities we needed.

Great place to stay

Had a relaxing time. Went fishing each day. The lake is very close. My wife enjoyed the swimming area. The only draw back was having to take our trash with us. If you go during the week you have to take your trash with you. On the weekends they have trash service. If you leave trash it's 15 dollars per bag. Other then that had a great stay.

Excellent winter weekend escape!

Our group of seven (two families) shared the cabin for a holiday weekend in the snow. Cabin had plenty of room for all and everything we needed. The owner, Bryant, told us about a nice sledding area that was an easy walk from the cabin. The kids had a great time there. The slopes there were good enough that some people were hiking higher up with their snowboards and getting a few decent turns in. We were able to drive in and out in snowy conditions with just cables on our front tires (2WD minivan) and minimal shoveling of the driveway. The wooden stairway up to the front door is steep and was very icy so be careful! Bryant was very responsive to any questions we had both before and during our stay. We may be back to see Green Valley Lake in the summer. Thanks for the great weekend!

My wife and I are both professors at Azusa Pacific University and have a 5 year old daughter. We live in Pasadena and love city life but we also love to be in nature! We also rent out a guesthouse on our property and have met great people from all over the world.

To be quite honest, one of the main reasons why we bought this cabin is because we couldn't find a cabin rental that suited our style-- we wanted something modern and yet rustic, without the grandma factor (no offense to grandmas out there!). We love great design and decor and wanted to bring that up to the mountains! When we saw this cabin with its gorgeous open-beamed wood ceilings and its awesome views, we immediately envisioned ourselves playing Settlers of Catan with our friends or cozying up by the fireplace with hot chocolate. So we bought it, remodeled it, and have created so many great memories, but since we're only able to go up about once a month, we thought we'd share our special space with others!
