❄️ Main-area mini-split A/C + heat; no bedroom A/C unit
🍽️ Walk to cafes, brewpubs & artisan shops. Free street parking.
The Space:
This private two-level 1BR apartment sits behind the main blue house, close to Hawthorne cafes, restaurants, vintage shops, and Ladd's Addition.
Inside, the main living level has a sofa, Smart TV, WiFi, dining nook that can work for laptop use, and compact full kitchen with range, full-size fridge, microwave, cookware, coffee maker, and wine glasses. The queen bedroom is upstairs, along with the bathroom.
Cooling and primary heat come from a mini-split in the main living/dining area, with cadet wall heaters as backup. The bedroom does not have its own A/C unit, so airflow can be less direct upstairs; a fan may help guests who sleep warm.
Shared laundry is available in the basement of the main house.
Guest Access:
This private two-level tower apartment is yours, with no shared interior living spaces. It is part of the SE 25th Towers property, and basement laundry/common property areas are shared.
🔑 Self check-in with smart lock from 4 PM
🧺 Coin-operated laundry on-site (washer + dryer in basement)
📶 Shared Wi-Fi
🚗 Free street parking
Stairs lead to the main living level and another flight up to the bedroom and bathroom. Make yourself at home. If anything comes up, we're a quick message away.
The Neighborhood:
Commonly known as “Foodie Row,” the Hawthorne/Buckman District puts you within walking distance of a wide variety of top-notch local flavors! Make new friends over a meal at the Cartopia food cart pod, get messy with wings at Fire on the Mountain, or share a pie at Apizza Scholls.
Portland isn't just for foodies; the vibrant indie spirit of Hawthorne is alive with plenty of made-in-Oregon shops and boutiques to explore. Catch a movie at the Bagdad Theater and Pub, a revamped 1920s theater turned view-and-brew venue serving local McMenamins food and microbrews. If bar hopping through neighborhoods isn’t your idea of recreation, head up to Mt. Tabor, a city park atop a volcanic cinder cone, where you’ll find miles of hiking trails and incredible panoramic views of the city.
Getting Around:
🚶 Walking — This neighborhood sits between the Division and Hawthorne corridors, two of Portland's best streets for dining and shopping — both within easy walking distance.
🚌 Bus — TriMet Route 14 (Hawthorne/Foster) provides service to downtown.
🚲 Biking — BIKETOWN bike-share stations nearby. Portland's bike lane network offers another way to explore.
🚗 Driving — Free street parking available (read signs for restrictions). Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) is another option.
✈️ Airport — PDX is accessible by car or a MAX + bus connection; travel times vary.
Other Things to Note:
🧳 Stair note: There are interior stairs after entry, including stairs up to the bedroom. This may be difficult with heavy luggage or mobility concerns.
🌡️ Climate note: The mini-split is in the main living/dining area. The bedroom does not have its own A/C unit, so airflow can be less direct upstairs; a fan may help guests who sleep warm.
There is not a washer and dryer in the unit, but you'll have access to basement laundry facilities within the complex.
🐾 Dogs
Up to two dogs are welcome. A $99 fee per dog per stay applies unless already collected by your booking channel. Service animals are handled under applicable law and channel policy.
