Gut: Check-in, Kommunikation und Lage
Overall, the house served its purpose as a place to stay during our Notre Dame weekend, and the location was convenient. However, we were disappointed in the overall quality and condition of the property.The house is older, which we expected, but there appear to be serious foundation issues. The back part of the house feels like it’s shifting or sinking, and the upstairs bedroom noticeably slopes toward the backyard. The front steps have separated from the porch, creating a safety hazard that should be addressed immediately. In the kitchen, the sink water doesn’t drain evenly, indicating additional structural concerns.The home also had a strong musty odor upon arrival. We had to purchase air freshener to make it more comfortable. Additionally, only one roll of toilet paper was provided per bathroom for a group of seven staying four days. While the host responded quickly to my email, I had to follow up again because the promised delivery didn’t arrive on time. There also wasn’t enough laundry detergent to complete the checkout request to start a load of towels.In short, while the house met our basic needs, we expected better upkeep and amenities for the price. With some much-needed repairs and attention to guest essentials, this could be a much more enjoyable stay.
