Apollo Gulf gem

This condo has a beautiful view of the Gulf and easy beach access. It’s an older unit and the bathroom/shower could use a remodel but overall we had a great stay! The Sunset grill on the ground floor was a delightful treat with great food and service. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room 309

The room needs some love put into it with that the view is beautiful. The pool closet, holding the chairs and umbrellas look like they’ve been there since the 1990’s rusty and moldy the toaster doesn’t work the toilet seat is broken. Room came with one roll of toilet paper and one trash bag had to buy myself The property is very well keeper staff very friendly restaurant was a plus the weather was a ten

The condo was perfect for 2 people. The sunsets overlooking the ocean were amazing. It is close to great restaurants and Key West Express. Would definitely recommend!!

A Great Stay

This is our 8th stay at Apollo and it didn't disappoint. This is our first one bedroom and we loved it. Thanks to management for letting us in a few hours early. We appreciate it and will definitely be back.

It would've been perfect, but there were workers painting & grinding on the property. At times it was very noisy. The rental agency compensated us so that helped. Awesome location, easy access to the beach.

Needs Renovations and Lacks Cleanliness

Location of the property is great. Sunset Grille was awesome. However, this condo needs major renovations. Tub has black stains, rug before entering onto the balcony is covering up chipped away, some of the vertical blinds are missing, and the pillows are awful. May 1st - October 31st is turtle season, so all lights out by 8:30pm, unless you have blinds to cover windows, but we could not turn any lights on inside as there were missing pieces to the blinds leaving huge gaps. Also, almost every towel we picked up had stains or hair on them. Check out instructions ask you to do as much laundry as possible prior to departure. I washed all of our towels prior to departure and most of the stains came out leaving me to believe they were never washed in the first place. I’m afraid they assume the towels are washed if they are put away leaving things unsanitary for the next guests. Beach chairs and an umbrella were in the storage closet for guests, but were not in good condition. Overall, would not stay in this condo again. Spend the extra to stay in a renovated condo at this location. It’s worth the extra money. We had family staying in renovated units at this location and they were much cleaner, in better condition, and had very well kept beach chairs and umbrellas.

Great place great location!

Love the property! Gorgeous view. Comfortable condo. Small and dated but very clean. Only concern is the deck furniture. Needs to be replaced ASAP. Spent all of our time on the deck so having safe comfortable deck furniture is our highest priority. Thanks for a great stay.

With in walking distance to shops

Overall I would rent at the Apollo again, just not sure I would rent this unit again. The TV wasn’t working, however they did come and fix that The bathroom wasn’t the cleanest and the shower curtain should have been thrown away and replaced. The bath towels that were hanging up were dirty and ripped. Other then that it was a nice unit and you can’t beat the location. If they took care of those few items I would rent the unit again

Good property in excellent location

Overall, the property was good in an excellent location. It was clean with the exception of the floors which could have used a good scrubbing rather than a quick wet mop. The bed was comfortable, but a bit squeaky. The unit had everything it promised but no more....don't expect oil or spices, extra toilet paper, etc. The one significant issue with the unit was that beautiful, new sliding glass doors had been installed (mostly) but there was a gap at the top where a breeze would come in when it was windy out. When combined with the door of the unit that did not fully seal at the bottom, it would create a whistling noise. On a non-windy day, it was of no concern but we needed to block the bottom of the door to stop the whistle when it was. Overall, it was a good unit in a great location at just under current market rates.

Perfect location - just needs some TLC to meet standards.

Overall a pretty nice stay but only due to the great location. The condo itself is marginally OK but not very well kept up. On arrival, dishes were dirty with old food stuck to them. None of the drains worked properly - not bad enough to call the property manager, but irritating enough to be inconvenient. King size sheets on a queen size bed - very annoying because the sheets slip off during the night. Be prepared to share with a couple of insects like cockroaches. Not a million of them, but still maybe the managers should look into this if they are in the mood...... The location is perfect and the view is spectacular! The furnishings are functional if a bit old. The provided beach equipment (umbrella, etc...) was helpful. Overall, a bit of attention from the property manager and some minimal investment would make this a great place to stay!

Amazing Location and Value

Our stay at this unit was enjoyable. The room was clean and was as pictured. The private entrance is a plus with easy access to the beach right next to the pool, which was clean and not crowded. There were a few minor details that could be improved upon in time - the sofa is aged and not very comfortable and the metal guard out to the patio is about 7 inches off the ground and is a tripping hazard (perhaps a sign to call it out as a reminder could help). The first night into our stay we noticed that the bath tub wasn’t draining, so we called the property manager to advise them. They were very friendly and attentive, but unfortunately couldn’t have anyone come out until Monday which meant we were showering in about 5” of cold dirty water for two days. Monday morning the plumber came out and fixed the issue right away. The one complaint I would have would be the bed.. you couldn’t even look at it without it squeaking and made it impossible to get a good nights rest. The bed itself was comfortable, but I think the headboard and frame needs tightened or replaced as it was extremely loud. Overall, our experience was very enjoyable and we had a great time within our unit, with just a few minor setbacks. Had it not been for the plumbing issue or the squeaky bed, this would easily have been a 5 star stay.

My New Marco Spot

Very pleasant stay. This was a last minute trip, deciding end of January that I needed sun NOW and booked a two week stay. I was excited to find this property but honestly was a bit nervous that this was the only beachfront unit available. I was relieved and pleasantly surprised to find it better than pictured! Looks like there was new furniture, new L shaped sofa and maybe a new bed frame. It is a cozy size unit, and I was staying there alone so fit me just fine. B E A U T I F U L view from the balcony and entire living area. Spacious balcony; a chaise would be a nice addition. It is not a super luxurious unit but very comfortable and clean. Small kitchen; comfy king size bed. The Sunset Grill located in the building has a beach bar or when you don't want to venture out for dinner. Couple areas to note: It is described to have Beach Chairs, Towels, Umbrella and Cart. All true. but I found only one working (low) sand chair. There is one other (high) folding chair. The umbrella looks new and there is a hand drill for the umbrella. Most of the dishes had food stuck on them. Booked thru VRBO and asked to not leave more than two loads of towels and linens to be done. They also ask the renter to provide D/W detergent and laundry detergent. Small amounts of both were already there. But makes me question the cleanliness of the beach towels & sheets if they are forcing the renter to do coin laundry. I had my own beach towel. Overall: Great stay. Walk to good restaurants and shops

Could’ve Done Better

Overall we feel like we could’ve found a nicer property for the money (especially after VRBO fees). This property does not have a lock box or electronic door locks, which made checking in/out a bit more complicated because we flew into town and did not have transportation other than Uber (so we had to add stops to go by the management office to pick up/drop off keys). We were only provided with a single roll of TP, which barely lasted until we could get to the grocery store to buy more. The property also failed to provide any bathroom washcloths or kitchen sponge/towels for washing dishes. The unit wasn’t updated or as clean as should have been (dust build up on fixtures, floors were not clean, hairs stuck in towels). We did, however, enjoy the restaurant located on the property and the front desk staff was super nice. The property was in a great location towards the less congested end of the island and within walking distance to several shops and restaurants.

Location, location, location!

The unit was perfect for two. The sunset view is spectacular! The unit was what we were expecting - Clean and comfortable. Extra kitchen appliances was a plus. Patio furniture could use an update. One leg on table is about to go. And bathroom drain/shower could be updated. We would definitely come back again.
