The separate (but attached) Ohana (which means family), or in-law unit, can serve as separate space from the main living area for additional privacy (a plus if more than one family is traveling together). It includes:

☞Reverse floor plan w/ sleeping on 1st floor & living on 2nd floor to maximize views & tradewinds to cool down the house
The trade winds help to cool the house when the jalousie/slatted windows & Lanai French doors are left open.
BEACH ESSENTIALS
☞Beach supplies are supplied for your use (towels, snorkel gear, boogie boards, umbrellas, beach chairs, coolers, pool noodles, etc.)
☞Sand & drying station - When you come back from the beach, you can rinse your things in a foot tub and hang them to dry at the drying station in the garage or on the Hot Tub deck.
Last but not least, feel free to pick the fruit from the backyard.

- This is a neighborhood with full-time residents. Please respect the neighbors and observe quiet hours from 9p-8a. During quiet hours, the noise shall not unreasonably disturb adjacent neighbors. Sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries during non-quiet hours shall not be more excessive than would be otherwise associated with a residential area.
- Guest vehicles shall be parked in the designated onsite parking area.
- Hale Aloha Kona cannot be used for commercial purposes.
- No parties - We have fully-privatized noise and smoking/vaping monitors installed on the property (with no sound recording) and outside-only security cameras at the front porch and side yard.
- Children are welcome. Guests are fully responsible for the safety and security of their children at all times, as well as any disturbance caused to other residents in the neighborhood. No children are allowed on the rooftop deck at any time without an adult, and no children in the hot tub.
- Any guests beyond the maximum (10) will be charged $25/additional guest per night.
- No smoking on property (inside or out) - If smoking is detected, then an additional $500 cleaning fee will be charged.
- Cesspool system - Please only flush toilet paper & natural waste (place all else in trash), and limit putting food down the kitchen disposal (place in trash).
- Please REMOVE SHOES & SAND before you enter. A sand removal station is in the garage.
- Only eat or drink in the kitchen/dining areas and outside.
- Please take care of the furnishings. Do not rearrange the furniture. Do NOT use roller beds or any bedding outside.
- Always report any accidental damages or breakages in a timely manner, especially before check-out. We will look into the issue to determine if and how much your deduction or repair cost will be.
- Cooling - Please turn off all fans, lights, and A/C unit (in Bamboo Bedroom #1) when you go out, and only use the A/C unit when you are in the room.

Our Hale Aloha Kona is less than 5 minutes from downtown Kona, near the Queen Ka’ahumanu (Queen K) highway with access to all the island has to offer. With 4 beds/4 baths, a spacious, fully stocked and equipped kitchen, two great rooms with vaulted ceilings, and three decks, a large group of 10 guests can comfortably stay.
The reverse floor plan with living on the 2nd floor maximizes views and tradewinds to keep the home cool. Enjoy sunsets, watch holiday fireworks, or BBQ on the rooftop deck with beautiful 360° views of the ocean and mountains.
