🌊 BEACH INFORMATION

The beach fronting Royal Kahana experiences seasonal ocean current changes that affect the beach’s size and accessibility. During the fall and winter, ocean currents may wash away sand, which typically returns in spring and summer.



Our HOA, the County of Maui, and the State of Hawaiʻi are actively working to restore Kahana Bay to its full potential. At times, direct beach access from the resort may be limited, but a public beach access point is within a 5-minute walk.



Photos taken on 1/16/23 show usable beach, but this cannot be guaranteed year-round.

🏨HOTEL ZONED:

This property is Hotel Zoned and not affected by the proposed short-term rental ban.



🦎🐓PEST CONTROL AND ROOSTERS:

Due to Maui’s rural location, you may encounter the occasional rooster or harmless gecko. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaiʻi. The HOA provides regular pest control, but insects and small wildlife cannot be completely eliminated in this tropical environment.



☀️HAWAIʻI CLIMATE:

Hawaiʻi’s tropical conditions support insects, rodents, and lizards. If guests experience more than normal pest activity, we will promptly coordinate with the HOA. Our units are meticulously cleaned and inspected, and such contact does not warrant refunds or rental adjustments.
