Close to all uphill activities, dodge ski, leland snowplay, long barn ice rink. A lot of our guests play at the ice rink before check in. Or on the way downhill on departure day. I'm glad you had great time! It's not advertised with wifi, and we let guests know about cell service in the area. Too many big tall trees and no line of sight for providers. Att has a better signal. It's the mountains and guests love the ability to getaway from it all. We haven't raised our rates in 30yrs, so guests can bring their own items from home. It's a small mountain community so we can't always get supplies for 20-30 cabins. It was a pleasure to serve you. Thank you, Darlene

Hi, first of all I know you enjoyed the cabin in your communication with me. It's a beautiful location, great family fun vacation cabin. As you said you arrived in the mountains at midnight with your family and I answered the call and spoke with you, while you were trying to yank open the owners locked cabinets. You asked how do I get these locks open. I asked you not to break the locks. I was very sorry that I couldn't help you at midnight. We have to follow covid procedures and protocols to stay open for the last 2 years. Which is why we do provide the information in the listing, and the rental agreement that you read and accept at booking. The list of things to bring and procedures is also provided in the house rules, the welcome guide, the amenities, the welcome note I send at booking, as well as the arrival and departure instructions provided with your key code. We have no contact entry, we wait 24hrs to enter behind a guest, as stated in vrbo app. We can't leave food items or toiletries etc. We remove dirty laundry, so it can laundered at a professional laundry mat @140 degrees, we spray everything at the cabin with disinfect. We return 24hrs later to clean we put the laundered, folded laundry in packaging on each bed for you. We run the dishwasher on sanitize for you so no one re-enters after cleaning to touch anything as required 24hrs before arrival of next guest. I'm very sorry that you arrived at midnight uprepared. I reached out to you the next morning to make sure you were ok. We work very hard to follow procedures and protocols, my contractors are very diligent. Individuals can deal with covid however they choose, I have many cabins and we have to follow procedures. Thanks Darlene

I'm very sorry you feel that way... Here's how others feel... Great getaway... Exactly as described. Most has already been said by other reviewers. But we did find an added bonus. Down the street we found a small path that loops behind the property that's perfect for snow play and sledding. Also remember there is no service so distant learning from this cabin will not work. Definitely, will come back. Marisol. The listing and information with instructions let you know that on the mountain cell service is tricky, Verizon works at some cabins att at others. The cabin is a lovely place to stay. The storms do knock out cable lines occasionally. The owner did their best to get the company to come out in the storm. There is a dvd player at the cabin. There is a land line with my 888# for you reach me. You txt me many times so I'm not sure what's up with that. I kept you informed of the weather etc. There was lots of beautiful snow for your kids to play in, ice skating etc. I get it skiing is difficult in a storm. But when you told me your kids were bored without phones and tv, I was amazed. It's a lovely cabin, game table and great location. We all do our best to make guests happy. Thanks Darlene

Hi, I'm glad you had a good time! It is a great place to stay. We did have a heat wave, but there are fans in every room. We don't advertise AC. Most cabins built uphill don't have AC. Lots of trees and fresh air. Getaway from it all! Beautiful part of the forest. Close to Pinecrest lake. Hi, I'm so glad you had a good time. Yes cold springs is just a few minutes from pinecrest. It's a very peaceful area. The cabin is not advertised with wifi, we are in the forest so not all cabins have line of site the beautiful trees are 100s of feet high! At 5,600ft elevation it's very nice to getaway from it all! Hi, I'm so glad you had a great time. The cabin is wonderful. You cant judge anything by yelp, it's usually people who destroy a property and are mad they got dinged for their security. But in my case in 2008 I had my business name stolen and had to sue as well as trademark my name. So people were staying in the other guys cabin and he left my name and information in the cabin so when people stayed in his awful cabin they called me and were told it wasn't mine. So they blamed me. I've been with vrbo since 1996! Oh well I've been doing this for 36 yrs. Wonderful cabins, wonderful guests. I have a great crew so we keep going. It was a pleasure to serve you. Perhaps some day with the new tree like cell tower going up in cold springs att and others will have better service. But as you said getting away from everything is a good thing.
