Welcome to Woodland Whimsy — your retreat away from the city; a place of serenity to commune with your loved ones and all magical woodland creatures alike. Perfect for friends, family, and everything in between.

Our three-bedroom, two-bath home is located centrally in the Hudson Valley and sits on a little over three acres of land, surrounded by trees. The house is at the end of a gravel driveway and offers lots of privacy but is only a 10-15 drive away from both Saugerties and Woodstock.

The space features:

- kitchen stocked with essentials — coffee maker, blender, toaster, instapot, dishwasher and microwave
- abundance of backyard space with an outdoor firepit to gather around
- hot tub to soak in no matter the season
- 4’ deep aboveground pool to cool off
- beautiful screened-in sun room/patio where you can work, meditate, or grill
- 65” 4K Smart TV in the living room
- extra quiet downstairs space
- plenty of spaces to cowork & high speed internet (300 mbps)
- washer & dryer
- generator in case of power outages

This home is our personal retreat, lovingly owned by two humans like yourself (not a corporation). Please take care of it as your own and put everything back where you found it.

We are happy to be flexible with check in and check out times if we can accommodate.

We have Ring cameras at the main and bottom entrance to the house, for security purposes.

PLEASE NOTE:

- the house is at the end of a gravel road that is uphill. In the winter, a car suited for snowy/icy conditions (e.g. four wheel drive) is required.

- the pool is open from around May/June to the beginning of October. Please confirm with us before booking if you are hoping to use the pool around those times. The hot tub is open all year round.

- the indoor wood stove in the living room is only for display and is not to be used. The outdoor fire pit is available for use.

When sending a booking request, please send a little note telling us about your trip and who you're traveling with! We will NOT accept requests without this information.

Great spot in Saugerties!

I really enjoyed staying at Woodland Wimsey cabin. The location was fantastic, it was very quiet and peaceful, the cabin itself is extremely clean and well kept with just the right accoutrements for a happy weeklong visit. I would highly recommend anyone visiting the Saugerties area to stay at this cabin. It's well worth it.

The house and property were perfect for our family of 5 adults. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, and the entire house was incredibly clean. The hot tub perfect! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!

Saugerties stay

Our group of four had a great experience in this comfortable house that is conveniently located for exploring the area. The owner cares about the property and is responsive. And the place has nice touches like a hot tub, pool, and lovely screened-in porch, if you find yourself hanging around instead of exploring.

Wonderful, Welcoming Home for a Gathering

We wanted a spot for a long weekend with our adult kids and this was the perfect place! The house is spacious, tastefully decorated, and full of extra touches that made our stay more enjoyable. The owner made sure we had everything we needed and even arranged an extra crew to clear snow after an overnight storm. We would be happy to have the opportunity to stay here again! Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us!

Clean and well-kept house, as advertised

I stayed in this home with 4 friends from high school as a sort-of 25 year high school graduation celebration. The house was clean, the beds comfy, and the pool and hot tub operational and at enjoyable temps. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet and well-kept jumping off point to the many surrounding local hikes and swimming holes. If I had to give the owners any suggestions they would be to purchase a larger drip coffee machine (and larger grinder) and to invest in perhaps another 4 sets or so of silverware, to allow for a bit more flexibility on the cadence of dish cleaning.
