It was awesome! Great location to ocean and pool. Condo had many beach accessories that were much appreciated. Bed was comfortable and A/Cs kept us cool from the 90 degree days.

I really hate to leave a bad review, since I grew up down the street from this place, but this place is not set up for a family. Great location, but I really didn’t feel the aloha spirit. Great for a couple that just needs a place to sleep.

Bathrooms had extra towels. The AC in both the living room and bedroom as well as the fans were appreciated since my visit was in August. A sweet unit with comfort and not one bug or ant in the place. Everything was clean and very inviting!

The location wasn't as shown in Expedia's map and we weren't provided the actual address until the day prior to check-in. It was implied in emails that there were 2 parking stalls, but when we arrived (planning to bring 2 cars) there was only 1 parking. Window AC in bedroom was working but AC in living room was broken. It was warm and we decided to leave within an hour. eMailed host about the AC and didn't receive a response until after our 2 night stay would have been over; and they only thanked me for letting them know. When I asked them for a refund, they told me that the agreement stated that no refunds would be given if we decided to leave early. When I said that problems justified a refund, no response.

Great Service

As soon as the unit that was assigned to me was known to have some kind of maintenance needing to be fixed and was not able to be occupied in, management got me into a unit still in same location, unfortunately didn’t get new unit number till after trying to get in the one that was originally assigned. Number listed in email was very helpful, gentleman got me to the right unit via phone in the dark. Was grateful person responded to me since it was already pass 7pm. The gentleman was kind enough to answer my 2nd call again to answer question about the unit. Great customer service and very thankful someone kind was answering the phone call. Appreciate it! Definitely will have to check this side of the island again when we want to get away from Makakilo. Mahalo and blessings to you!

Terrible Experience. We ended up leaving within an hour.

First of all, I hope that the property owner reads this. There were goods and bads to our stay here. First the goods – the property was clean. The one bed was comfortable, and the unit size was as described. Now the bad – false advertising on proximity to the ocean. Photos in advertising are not what you see from the unit. Instructions for entry into the unit are confusing. Main bathtub was filthy when we arrived. Hide a bed did not have blankets so our family had to sleep under multiple sheets for the first two nights. The sleeper sofa is ancient. The coffee maker did not work at all, and there was no description of what kind of coffee maker there was so we weren’t prepared. There is a barbecue, but when we went to use it, there was no hose connecting gas to the barbecue. Lighting down the stairs to the unit is inadequate the sooner or later someone’s going to trip and fall. In the welcome folder there is described two key fobs to be used, however, there are no key fobs. The welcome packet is so old that it has the original Wi-Fi user name and password, and then one written on a piece of paper and stapled to the folder. The pictures in the master bathroom have mold on them. Now the worst part of the entire visit. We went through what could’ve been the worst natural disaster since hurricane Ewa. We never received one phone call asking if we were OK or if we needed anything. Shameful. We will not be staying here again. Safety of your guests should be your top priority.

A nice condo ,but the view....

Rating Details: The vacation rental was very clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 197 is a nice unit, fairly clean, but outdated fixtures. ( ie old faucets, tubs etc.) Great place to stay if you are out for the day, but the view from the patio is of garbage dumpsters. They stage them on the access road behind the condo, the truck picks them up around 6:30 a.m., then they redistribiute the dumpsters throughout, with the tractor. The next day is the recycles, then the compostable dumpsters, each day, there was activity. This is why the price of the condo is what it is. Not disatisfied, but would have paid up to be on the golf course

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have stayed at the Turtle Bay condos many times, and this unit was not my favorite. Pros: 1) it’s a Less expensive unit on this property. 2) I love the location of staying at the turtle Bay condos. 3) It’s clean. 4) The king bed was VERY comfortable. Cons: 1) This unit does not sit on the golf course, so no great views. 2) There is no AC in the living room, and air flow in this unit is not strong. If someone stays on the pull out couch they will want AC!! 3) This is a bottom floor unit and you can clearly hear loud walking and doors open/close upstairs. 4). The property management company works banker hours so our WiFi was never working and finding/entering our unit was VERY frustrating - and there’s no one to ask for help. And the app they try to push you to is DUMB and never worked. 5) The parking stall was a bit far which became tiresome with luggage and daily hauling beach gear n such. There are many other units I’ve enjoyed better; I would not recommend this one.

Great location for sightseeing

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We chose this because of its central location to Waimea valley, Haleiwa, Polynesian Cultural Center, and Kuloa Ranch as well as the very close proximity to Turtle Bay resort. There is an awesome food cart pod two miles East as well but don’t rely on that for dinner in winter. Parking and condo entry was convenient and this unit is very close to a small unheated pool. It’s on the ground floor which makes it easy to pop over to the pool however that also means the next door neighbors can sprawl out on their side of the patio thus reducing your privacy. The kitchen is well stocked as far as dishes and cookware however there is nothing else except a salt & pepper shaker (and the salt was empty so we bought some). We’ve rented lots of units through VRBO, AirBnB and Vacasa over the years and have always had some random odds & ends left from previous renters. Heck the place we are renting in Makaha right now has all tons of stuff so we don’t have to go buy a bottle of mustard that we will use once. Anyway, that’s just a heads up for your grocery shopping plans. The bed here was deliciously comfortable and having his/hers bathrooms was a luxury. We loved all the artwork in the unit and we chuckled to ourselves that all the Buzz’s Steakhouse posters seduced us into eating there when we visited Kailua beach. One complaint that we had is that we weren’t warned ahead of our reservation that exterminators would be entering our unit and spraying. We weren’t told until our second evening that spraying would happen the next day. There is no such thing as safe bug poison and spraying should happen only when the unit is unoccupied.

A Great Deal

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were attending a wedding at Turtle Bay and for half the price of the resort hotel rooms, we had our own condo. We saved so much money cooking for ourselves, having a place for our local friends to visit,do our own laundry, ect.Checking in was easy, checking out we had to drive a few miles and were late to the plan for that;)As far as the condo, it could use some love. It was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, towels, etc, but the shower curtain smelled terribly moldy and one shower could not even be used due to a poor shower head. The other tub would fill as you shower from a clogged drain.The screen door in the back was completely off the track and just propped against the glass door. When I tried to iron my dress the cord started popping and sparking from a cut in the cord. So simple improvements with some attention.
