HOOTING HAUS - HOT TUB - FIRE PIT - CABIN RETREAT

Nestled at the edge of a forest and named after our resident owl, Hooting Haus is a European styled cabin retreat close to all Penn State offers.
The gourmet kitchen's rustic charm features a zinc island, butcher block counter and stunning natural stone wall. Entertain guests at the artisan crafted pine table while dining next to the antique cast iron fireplace. Cap the evening sharing stories under the cool night sky gathered 'round the fire pit with a soothing hot toddy or mug of creamy cocoa.

NOTE-
We have beautiful woods at the back of the property, but if you're looking for a secluded getaway, this cabin may not be a good fit. We're close to the highway, which is very convenient to Beaver Stadium, campus and town - only 10 minutes and less than 8 miles away.
*2nd bedroom is located in the upstairs loft & library. Cozy, but not fully private.

We loved every minute of our stay! The place was really cozy and beautifully decorated. All the little touches our host left for us were so thoughtful - a hand written note to congratulate our graduate along with prosecco, cheese and crackers, gourmet popcorn, muffins for breakfast….everything was perfect! We will be back for sure.

This house is so great! The decor is amazing and the space is so comfy and cozy. The hot tub is the icing on the cake. Our host was so thoughtful with snacks in the fridge and muffins ready for us. This is close to wegmans and Trader Joe’s for easy meals.

We absolutely loved our stay in the cabin!! Beautifully decorated, immaculate and everything perfectly set up and waiting for us upon arrival with a warm cozy fireplace !! Hilee our host was super friendly and communicated with ease..there was even a welcome basket with a greeting card, snacks, beverages, coffee, wine and even eggs , sausage and cider & donuts for breakfast. Icing on the cake was the awesome hot tub! If we are ever in the area again for Penn State we would definitely love to come back!

Such a cute house. Super clean and great layout. Exactly as pictures showed. Loved the Christmas tree up during the holiday and cute decorations. Great location (close to State College) and host was very responsive. Thank you for letting us stay!

Honeymoon Retreat!

We had an amazing time at Hooting Haus! The interior decorating and house layout was fantastic! Every detail was thought of! And can we say the snacks were the icing on top! Lastly, the house is so convenient to Penn State and easy to find!

PSU Weekend

The cabin served as our homebase for weekend need at PSU. It was a quick (15 minute) drive from the campus. The description and details were accurate and the space utilization was excellent. Would definelty stay at again in the future for similar needs!

My daughters and I stayed the evening at this incredibly cozy and beautifully appointed home, for a concert. Upon our arrival music was playing, place was spotless, the electric stove was softly flickering and we were instantly at home. The hot tub made for the perfect nightcap despite the below freezing temps. Core memories were made. We enjoyed this space so much that we plan to attend future concerts in Penn State with the hopes of staying here again. Our host Hilee was more than accommodating, available for questions with seamless check-in and check-out! 10/10 “Hilee” recommend!!

This house was even better than the description. The host had the house perfectly ready for our late evening arrival. All the special touches (fireplace glowing, music playing, snacks ready). It was so adorable & quaint & comfy & perfect for our PSU weekend. I will definitely book again.
