'McGee By The Sea'- Ocean Front Kure Beach

Entspannen Sie sich und genießen Sie unser wunderschön dekoriertes Meer und unser geräumiges Zuhause. Es hat eine große, gut ausgestattete Küche mit Granit und schöne Holzböden. Sowohl der Essbereich als auch das Familienzimmer bieten Platz für 10 Personen und bieten einen herrlichen Meerblick. Sie können Ihren Morgenkaffee oder Nachmittagstee genießen und auf der großen Veranda oder der großen Terrasse entspannen. Auf der Veranda gibt es einen Esstisch und Schaukelstühle zum Entspannen. Am Donnerstagabend können Sie Feuerwerke von Carolina Beach auf unserer Terrasse beobachten. Wir haben Deckenventilatoren in allen Räumen. Es gibt Doppelbetten in drei Schlafzimmern und die restlichen verfügen über zwei Einzelbetten. Es gibt WIFI im ganzen Haus sowie Fernseher in jedem Zimmer. Zu den weiteren Einrichtungen gehört eine geschlossene Außendusche mit heißem und kaltem Wasser, die einen erfrischenden Ort zum Abwaschen nach einem Tag am Strand und einen privaten Fußweg zum Strand bietet. Bettwäsche und Reinigungsservice sind vorhanden und wir stellen Liegestühle bereit. Ein Gasgrill steht zur Verfügung. Genießen Sie ein Familienspiel im Haus oder draußen eine Partie Cornhole. Wir haben einen großen privaten Parkplatz für 6 oder mehr Autos. Die Carolina Beach Boardwalk bietet Geschäfte, Restaurants und Sommeraktivitäten wie Festivals, Feuerwerk und Live-Musik. Das NC Fort Fisher Aquarium ist ein großartiger Ort, um den Nachmittag zu genießen. Auch Southport ist nur eine Fähre entfernt. Kure Beach bietet jeden Dienstag einen Markt mit verschiedenen Anbietern an.

Great place to stay

Nice place to stay, stayed here in 2021 also. Short walk to beach, usually not too crowded. No big hotels too close. Enjoyed cornhole already there under house.

We had the best time at McGee By the Sea! The house was so clean and comfortable with plenty of room for our family. The location on the beach with the private walkway was great! The house was very well stocked with all necessities.

Everything You Need.

Perfect location. More than ample seating indoors & out. Fully ( & I do mean fully) stocked kitchen for literally any meal you choose to prepare. Home is always clean & comfortable. Zero complaints.

Great family vacation house

The owners of this property are wonderful to work with. Check in/check out process is easy. We love that this house looks like a beach house, but has comfortable beds and is very clean. This was the perfect house for our family beach vacation and we loved our stay in Kure/Carolina beach!

Perfect!

Our family loved this house.....it's well maintained, comfortable all around with room for close famiy time or quiet personal time. The kids enjoyed the beach and playing under the house. We walked to Kure Beach Pier, the Tiki Bar and to the Boardwalk each day...even in the rain. Looked for Venus flytraps at Carolina Beach State Park, went to Hang Ten, the Veggie Wagon, the Seawitch and Uncle Vinnies...had Seafood Boil from CFSB....We love this area so much.

The house was beautiful and in immaculate condition.

The house was beautiful. Very clean and wonderfully decorated. IIt also has a very nicely stocked kitchen. I highly recommend this house. Nice size bedrooms and bathrooms. And all just so pretty. The big porch, the easy access to the beach and the lower deck were such a bonus!!

Great house

Great property & location. Our only criticism is not of the property but of the beach itself. There was a substantial drop off in the water that made it treacherous as the waves tended to crash onto the beach. There is also a “storm drain” that extends into the ocean directly behind the house that posed a danger as the life guards were constantly having to steer people away . Lifeguards were definitely a plus!

Well-stocked and perfect location

This 5 BR 2.5BA oceanfront house was well-stocked and the location exactly 1mi north of Kure Beach pier and 1mi south of Carolina Beach pier/boardwalk was ideal. The beach was recently renourished in Feb 2016 (eg, sand from miles out in the Atlantic is slurried-in to build up the beach) and therefore quite substantial. The sheets must've been 400-count cotton because they were luxurious - nice if you have a sunburn! The photos and artwork/decor were very tastefully done. The kitchen had every possible gadget and serving utensil (sans some good slicing knives) and both drip and Keurig coffee makers. Each room has a TV. The Internet was fast. The front porch was deep with a nice 6-person table for games and cards + 6 rocking chairs. The kitchen table was long and could seat 10 (we did!). Nice gas grill and lots of beach chairs (though some were rusty from the ocean). I especially liked the layout of the master bed with its own bathroom/laundry tucked away down the stairs and away from the noise of the kitchen and living room. We rented this home for our family with adult children and their friends and it was perfect. The living room had a pullout couch but we didn't use it. The house came with all the linens (plus extra) so we didn't have to bring those. There were lots of spices to choose from plus starter paper goods, which helped a lot when we decided to cook. The only issue we had was our son got a cut on his hand from the barnacles growing on the concrete blocks in front of the house in the ocean - so don't climb on those! We did have to bring beach towels, coolers, and a cabana and some extra folding beach chairs. I would hands-down recommend this place to anyone and we have already reserved a week again next year.

Plentiful amenities

Best rental in 5 years. The beds are comfortable, not overly soft. The linens are upscale. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The gas grill was a plus. Exquisite view of the ocean and dunes. Central to Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. Not overly crowded on the beach. We will definitely plan a return visit to this house.

A little surprise

This was a beautiful, well maintained property with an excellent view of the ocean and a private deck to the beach. My only criticism is finding out beach towels and beach chairs were not include. I don't feel this was clearly stated on the posting, as one of the pictures shows beach chairs on the deck and one of the reviews mentions that it was great to have the chairs and towels included. Please understand that two of our party flew and our car was packed with supplies for everyone. I think a few chairs and towels should be included. We have rented houses for the past 20 years including several beach houses and this was a first. This is my only negative comment I can make. It is a beautiful home!

Very nice place to stay

Pros: nice layout, clean, great location Cons: Ant problem in the sandy areas (some got into my daughters car even though she parked a good 5-6 feet from sand area), saw several roaches on the porch and 3 inside the house.

Perfect Vacation Home

This property has everything you could possibly need for a beach vacation. Having the towels and linens provided were a definite plus. Beach chairs and lots of outside toys provided. The underneath porch area was perfect for the kids to pay in on rainy days and to be out of the sun. This is not our first time staying here and WON'T be our last. We loved it.

Couldn’t be better

Everything was wonderful about McGee By the Sea! The pictures don’t do it justice - it’s a Very beautiful home and well maintained! I highly recommend this home if you want a great beachfront home with a great view and very nice amenities! The Beach chairs and outdoor games are a nice plus! Owners were extremely responsive to our questions and we would certainly stay there again!

There is great fishing right out front. Walk a few yards north or south and swim near the sand bars that are usually present. Take a 15-20 minute walk south to the Kure Beach Pier and enjoy local restaurants as well as an Arcade. A quick drive takes you to the Fort Fisher Aquarium as well as Fort Fisher Civil War Museum. You can hike or ride your bike through the Carolina Beach State Park. Wilmington is just 20 minutes away, where you can dine at the Historic riverfront with outside dining options. The USS North Carolina Battleship is just across the river. Take a day trip by ferry to the fishing village of Southport. Enjoy antiquing, dining and great shops.
