The views overlooking the water were absolutely beautiful and definitely a highlight of our stay. The bed was extremely comfortable, and although the space was a little chilly, a heater was provided and helped.My biggest concern was that the listing wasn’t very clear about the property being shared with others. It is listed as an apartment, so perhaps in our excitement over the beautiful photos and how the property was presented, we simply didn’t realize that people would be living directly above us. That’s certainly no fault of the owners, but I do think it would be helpful for future guests if this were clearly stated in the listing. We’ve stayed at other properties where an apartment was attached to a home, and the listing specifically mentioned that the owners or other occupants would be onsite.You can hear people walking around upstairs, and the driveway is also shared. Neither of these things necessarily makes it a bad place to stay, but they are things I would have liked to know beforehand. If having others onsite or some noise from above doesn’t bother you, then don’t let that stop you from booking—the waterfront views really are beautiful.Overall, there were definitely positives, especially the gorgeous views and incredibly comfortable bed. Our only real disappointment was the lack of clarity about the shared nature of the property

Eagles & Views

The check-in was seamless, kitchen immaculate (as was the whole property), and the sauna was so wonderful, especially after long days of biking and sightseeing. And the views!!!! So many eagles are nesting around here that it’s a daily show—watching them and the shorebirds interact with the extreme tidal changes is exciting in itself! Quiet and comfortable… Most people will want a car to get here, but we used a taxi for our arrival and departure and bikes (30 min one-way to town) and walking (1.5 hours one way) for the rest of our stay.

Quaint and cozy place on the water in North Douglas. Listing was true to what you get, and you cannot beat the view over the water in the morning or the lights of Juneau proper at night. You want to experience real Juneau? This is it!
