This spacious & charming home sits on the gorgeous waters of Lake Vermilion, one of Illinois' most heavily stocked lakes for fishing, including bluegill, channel catfish, white crappie, carp large & small mouth bass, buffalo & more. Enjoy all that nature has to offer, without sacrificing modern comforts and conveniences. Casa De Lago is located in one of the most peaceful & safe areas of town. When you step inside you'll feel surrounded by nature & wildlife. But you're also just blocks from grocery stores, casual dining, retailers like Walmart, Starbucks, TJ Maxx, as well as quaint & unique local shops & dining. Right when you walk in, this property has a way of letting you know your vacation has started.

Casa De Lago is furnished in a rustic yet chic mid century modern style. It's the perfect combination of stylish new designer pieces and unique and fun funky art, antiques and decor. It is sophisticated and upscale, but also very homey and comfortable. All 5 Bedrooms have new King beds, plus bunk beds in the basement, and the home has 3 couches* suitable for sleeping. The 4 bathrooms were recently renovated & there are new hardwood floors throughout. Top floor has 3 bedrooms, including a master suite with a jacuzzi tub. The Main floor has 1 bedroom, bathroom, living room, dining room and kitchen. Beautifully decorated with lots of attention to detail. Finished basement with game room & 1 bedroom, bath, living area, pool table record player and bunk beds.

Let the lake water wash your stress away at this one of a kind lakeside property with plenty to do inside & out. Fishing, boating, swimming, animal watching, outdoor games, cooking out, making s'more on the outdoor firepit, or just enjoying a peaceful morning cup of coffee on the dock! Deer sightings are a nearly daily occurrence, it's also a great spot for bird watching, and you may even catch a glance of adorable families of River Otters sunning themselves on the dock. The house sits on top of a hill offering 180 degree views of Lake Vermilion and slopes directly down to your private dock. Casa Del Lago has 3 decks, all with 180 degree views of the lake and plenty of space to soak in in the sun and nature.

The home is located in the tree lined town of Danville, home to some surprising nice museums, shops and outdoor activities like camping, ice skating, canoeing, horseback riding, hiking. Danville has more than 15,000 acres of parklands, including the nationally designated Middle Fork Scenic River. Enjoy over five miles of bike-able shared-use-paths that weave throughout the City and its green spaces. These recreational spaces provide beautiful backdrops to many regionally recognized events including: Arts in the Park, The Festival of Trees, Balloons Over Vermilion, Summer Sounds, Symphony Concerts, Danville Light Opera, and more.

Over 18 fabulous murals grace the brick walls of the historic Downtown District which were painted in 4 days by 160 Walldog artists from all over the world. Casa De Lago is the perfect place to escape the pressures of daily life, and take a step back in time to small town living and a more easy going, serene lifestyle surrounded by nature. We designed Casa Del Lago with our own extended family in mind, who range in age from toddlers to 70 somethings, so there's something to do for everyone!

*PLEASE NOTE THE COUCHES ARE NOT SLEEPER COUCHES. JUST REGULAR COUCHES SUITABLE FOR 1 PERSON TO SLEEP ON.

No pets allowed on property. Not just in the house but on the entire property. This helps ensure a flea & tick free environment.

There is a guest limit of 12. For any guests over 12 there is a charge of $50 a night per guest.

Early and late check-ins are available for an additional fees.

BOAT RENTAL POLICIES:
1) 22 Foot 10 person Pontoon Boat Available for rent
2) Rental Rate is $500 for 2 days.
3) Download the Boatsetter App, its basically the VRBO of boats and then search Danville/Pontoon and we should be the only one.
4) Renters must also pay $100 cash to Will our Boat Guy who will show you how the boat works and fill up the tank with gas when you leave.
5) BOAT OPERATORS MUST ATTEST TO PREVIOUS BOATING EXPERIENCE... NO TOWING / SKIING / TUBING ALLOWED
6) Caution: The lake does have numerous downed logs, so be super careful and its best to stay in the center of the lake. If you get to the sides you may hit a log, which will damage the propeller

ILLINOIS FISHING LICENSE:
1) Technically, you need a fishing license, though I've never seen anyone stopped and asked for one.
2) Exception would be on major holidays, when law enforcement is out in full force.
