Hi, we’re Bryan and Misty Valdez, owners of 282 Timbuktu Cabin in Hochatown, Oklahoma.
We’ve been married for 30 years and both grew up in southern Oklahoma, so this part of the world is truly home to us. Bryan is a retired U.S. military veteran who served nine combat tours and now works in the aircraft parts manufacturing industry. Misty is a realtor with a love for the outdoors — especially riding her mules through the backcountry of the Tetons whenever the chance comes along. Together, we live in north Texas and help our daughter, Megan, raise Santa Gertrudis cattle on our family property in both Oklahoma and Texas.
Creating 282 Timbuktu Cabin was our way of sharing the beauty and peace of this area with others. We wanted a place where couples could relax, reconnect, and enjoy the simple joys of life surrounded by the tall pines of Hochatown. Every detail — from the cozy fireplace and spa-style bathroom to the private hot tub under the stars — was designed with comfort, romance, and relaxation in mind.
When you stay here, you’re not just booking a cabin. You’re being welcomed into a space that reflects our love for family, the outdoors, and creating meaningful memories. Whether it’s your honeymoon, anniversary, or a much-needed getaway, we’d be honored to host you and help make your time in Broken Bow unforgettable.
Warmly,
Bryan & Misty Valdez
