This is a nice little cottage that has one major flaw, which is the living room furniture. The couch and loveseat are not only stained and torn, but they are both broken enough so that the springs can be felt on your back. The back of the loveseat is broken in half and cushions for both couch and loveseat are supported by long pieces of plywood. Laughably bad - until you have to sit on them for more than 20 minutes. There is also a worn chair (with ottoman) that isn't much better and a pile of bean bags that feel like you're sitting on foam rocks. The worst part of this experience is that several other reviewers have mentioned the furniture being bad, but we assumed they'd have been replaced by the time we went... big mistake!The upsides of the cabin are that the hot tub appears to be brand new and clean, the beds were all comfortable and there were plenty of dishware/utensils to go around. The location is awesome as you're surrounded by woods on all sides, and the charcoal grill was also in good shape. The wood stove is small but also worked well, and the last renters left behind some wood to get us started (so we did the same). The cleanliness of the cottage was only so-so, the major areas (kitchen counters, bathrooms, floors, bed linens) were all clean but other areas needed some major dusting and cleaning (windows, beams, light fixtures etc. all covered in dust/cobwebs) and there were dirty linens left behind by the previous tenant sitting in the washing machine. We ended up doing some minor repairs/cleaning while we were there (fixed vacuum, LR clock, cleaned kitchen light, etc.) so the place is cleaner now than how we found it. The dryer also didn’t work well as it took 2 cycles to dry one load of linens.The property managers at BOC are very friendly and receptive and I'm confident they will resolve any issues within their control; they also promised to inform the owner again of the furniture.
