Great condo with everything you might need, excellent location.

This was a wonderful place to stay and was well stocked with kitchen utensils/silverware/dishes, beach chairs, coolers, and umbrellas. I appreciated all those items being there for use. Ice was available in the freezer and ready to go. This unit had nice air conditioning as well. The condo has a great bbq area and pool area where you can rent snorkel gear and boogie boards (although maybe cheaper elsewhere it is convenient). The location was perfect and has a nice beach right across the street. You can walk to multiple restaurants as well. I would stay here again.

Simply the Best

This condo is by far the very best I have ever stayed at in Hawaii. I have been going many years to Hawaii and Maui. The condo has it all as all the others reviews lay out. Robert is a great guy from the moment we spoke to him over the phone he answered every question we asked and all was much better when we opened the door to is home in Hawaii. Great location

Perfectly acceptable and useable property. This is a perfectly located complex. This unit is toward the back and on the side so don't expect amazing views, but you don't need them because you are so close to great parks and beaches with views. One thing to note is you'll get a confirmation email that doesn't say "VRBO" in it so you might miss it as I did and get nervous you don't know how to check in. Check your email but don't search for vrbo. I loved the location and would absolutely stay here again. The AC works very well. We had a couple super hot days but the unit cooled off fast and stayed cool with the AC. Sort of loud, but it works great so I'll take it.

A few concerns

Generally this property was as listed. It is located in in a huge complex and so has more of a resort vibe than a home vibe. The pool was always full of families and others enjoying their vacation and so was a great place to meet people also on vacation. The unit was really clean and the location is close to a fun boogie boarding beach. There are a few things not mentioned in the VRBO information that I think are important to mention. The air conditioning unit is on a 4 hour timer so if you turn it on when you go to bed you will need to get up again in four hours to turn it on again. It was very hot when we were on the island and every night I woke up sweating and had to get up and turn the AC back on. Not the kind of sleeps I was hoping for on vacation. And when I’m paying for a vacation property I expect to be able to control the A/C as needed. Additionally, there is a resort fee that you must pay at check in and there is no ocean view.

This person is very dishonest. She complained her entire time in my condo with me and my management company. My condo is great and has ocean view all photos are accurate. All resorts charge a resort fee if not it is already in the nightly rate simple. Maui ranges from 68 to 86 so when she was sleeping it was only 68 degrees outside she wanted the condo below 60 degrees. Read my reviews I have owned condo for 15 years. I have never had a three star. Her complaints was that she had to pay $61.00 resort fee for two week stay 4 dollars per day and that she had to get up turn timer on because she wanted the condo below 60 degrees. The condo has powerful air and two brand new ceiling fans I just installed both in April. She goes to Hawaii in the summer and was surprised it was hot

Great Room for Quiet Relaxing Vacation

We love Kamaole Sands in Maui across from Kam Beach III. The facility has everything that you need; however we miss the little lunch/snack bar down at the pool. (Lost because of the pandemic. Hoping it will come back.) The room we stayed in was perfect. Building 9 is quiet and provides quick access to the beach/park across the street for watching the whales and sunsets, and the road we walk along for fresh air and exercise each day. The unit was very clean, the decor nice, the kitchen updated nicely. An easy walk to the pool and garden courtyard AND we didn't hear the kids squealing and squawking, like we have from other units.... which is cute for a while, but ???? There are plenty of lawn/beach chairs and boogey boards! We'll be back!

What a lovely condo! Great location in a complex I love. My husband and I were more than satisfied with our stay. Pride of ownership comes through at this property as evidenced by the upgrades, great upkeep, and variety of beach toys, towels, kitchen supplies, etc. Check in/out was a breeze. Great spot

Great location and everything we needed. Really enjoyed being able to walk across the street to watch sunsets on the beach. Had a brief issue with the AC which was resolved promptly by the property management company. Good home base to explore maui.

Spacious and quiet condo in a great complex

We loved our 5-night stay at Kamaole Sands, one of the nicest resorts in Kihei with excellent BBQ, pool, and garden areas. This unit has garden views in both the bedroom and the living room. We spent a lot of time on the lanai eating, talking, and enjoying the fresh air. The kitchen had everything we needed and we had plenty of room to spread out and be comfortable. A great unit!

Maui vacation

Property was very nice and in accordance with almost all pictures; there is no beach or ocean view from the balcony unless you're standing up and peering between columns. I took a pic to upload but cannot upload a picture on this review site. The ice maker wasn't working when we checked in and the master shower drain was clogged, however, we contacted the prop mgr who took care of the problems immediately! The location was great; a short walk to the nicest beach ever! Loved having beach chairs, several beach towels, several coolers and two beach umbrellas so we didn't have to buy anything. Plenty of interior space to stretch out and relax. The only problem we have is that we paid for a beach/ocean view and didn't get it, but otherwise was a great place to spend our vacation.

This woman complained about every thing. I emailed her confirmation email many times then she would lose it. Then she asked me two weeks before arrival if I could switch her dates. I am a nice guy so I did. Then she called me the day of arrival that she didnt know how to get into my condo. The code is right on the confirmation email. She was told that twice she doesnt lisen. All my photos are accurate she is dishonest person. Trees grow then they cut them trees grow then they cut them. The photo is from my lanai I took it. My home has been vacant for six months I was the last guest there. The ice maker was shut off because of the BS shutdown she couldn't figure out how to flip the switch in the freezer to the on position. The shower was not clogged I found out...My management company is the best and they were there in one hour. If she wanted to be 100 feet from the ocean she should have stayed at a hotel but she dint want to pay the $800 per night. All my reviews are nice some people should never go on vacation the places they stay will never be as good as there home.

This place is a paradise in paradise

I have been visiting Maui for nearly 20 years and stay at Kam Sands often. This particular condo 9-203 is one of the most beautiful and comfortable ones in my experiences to-date. The central air update is glorious and beautifully done.

Great location

We love Kamaole Beach Park III so this was a great location. The beach is just a short walk across the street. (If you've never been, it's a wonderful beach with turtles, a shady grass park and bathroom/showers). The condo is clean and a good size. Two bathrooms is nice! And the kitchen is well stocked. It even has storage containers for left overs! (Something that we are always wishing for in vacation rentals). There are 4 beach towels, 3 chairs and a beach umbrella which was convenient. The resort is quiet and the Kamaole Sands staff were great. Someone parked in our spot one day and they gave us a different parking spot while they took care of it. I didn't have to beg or argue, they just pleasantly took care of the issue. The only problem I had with this rental was the AC. It has a 4 hour timer. September was hot. Low to mid 90s our entire trip and it did not cool down at night. Knowing September is hot, I specifically wanted a rental with good AC. Waking up sweating every night was not the relaxing vacation I had hoped for. There was no breeze so opening windows wasn't an option. We are in Hawaii often and have never come across a timer on an AC. I wish they had the timer situation posted on the listing.

The A/C timer can be turned on at anytime all she had to do was get out of bed and turn it on. The timer is there to prevent keeping air from running for month straight simple. My condo stays cool all night long. She is not being honest checkout all reviews.

Fell in love with Kihei!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Kamaole Sands. The condo was great, updated and very clean. Location is right across from the beach. The property was very well kept. From the Lanai, there is only a small view of the ocean, however, so not really oceanview. However, you can walk across the street and watch the sunset from the green park area or the beach quite easily.

Clean, Comfortable, Convenient!

We really enjoyed our weeklong stay in Kihei. This is our favorite area in Maui and found this property to be very convenient to our favorite beaches, restaurants and shopping. The condo was exactly as described, and clean and comfortable for our family of 3. We go to Maui every year and would definitely stay at Robert’s place again.

Everything was great. Robert was easy to communicate with and very helpful. The beach chairs and boogie boards made the beach trips that much better for us. Would stay again.

Kamaole Sands in Kihei

My wife and I recently stayed in this unit. We found the close proximity to the local beaches very handy. The unit itself was as expected when we arrived....both clean and in order. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance as well as grocery stores that are a short drive away.

Great Maui Condo.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Kamaole Sands condo. Decent amenities, great location. Condo was clean and quiet. If we go back to Maui, we will attempt to stay here again. Also, a very reasonable price for the condo, considering the prices on Maui are pretty steep. Really loved it.
