Gemütliches 3BR Haus mit wunderschöner Holzausstattung. 100 Jahre altes Haus komplett innen und außen renoviert, mit komfortablem Adirondack-Dekor und vielen Fenstern. 3BR für 6 Erwachsene + Futon-Sofa für 2 weitere Personen. Voll ausgestattete Küche (alle neuen Geräte) öffnet sich zum Esszimmer und riesigen Wohnzimmer. Fantastische Aussicht auf den Teich von Ihrem Sofa oder dem Hinterhof. Zwei Sofas, damit die Kinder auf ihren Computern spielen können, während die Erwachsenen sich entspannen. Das Badezimmer im Erdgeschoss hat eine große, wunderschöne Dusche mit einer Glasblockwand.

HINWEIS: IRONMAN 2018 - Pauschalgebühr für einen Aufenthalt von bis zu 6 Nächten. Im Preis inbegriffen ist ein kostenloser Wochenendaufenthalt für das Training vom 1. bis 15. Juni.

Der Teich (flacher Eingang auf unserer Seite) ist perfekt für Kajaks, Kanus oder Stand-Up-Paddle-Boards (im Lieferumfang enthalten).

Drei Schlafzimmer im Obergeschoss bedeuten, dass jeder Privatsphäre hat: ein Queensize-Bett, ein Doppelbett, ein Schlafzimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten. Waschmaschine / Trockner im Bad im Obergeschoss.

Great location, fun place to stay. Easy.

Great location, beautiful view, we enjoyed the pond and kayaking, and the gardens! Raspberries were ripe - what a treat. Downstairs was spacious and comfortable. Bedrooms are small but fully adequate and all have cross breeze. Wish I had known the fridge and oven are not full size - would have adjusted my plans a bit. Outside Grill worked great. Communication with owner was positive and responsive. Overall a positive experience and we would stay here again.

True to name

This home is true to its name, so peaceful yet in walking distance to everything. We enjoyed the kayaks and SUP, the wild raspberries, and open kitchen and family room. It was a great jumping off point to visit all the Olympic sites, high peaks, Wilmington flume, and downtown restaurants and shops. We were lucky enough to enjoy the free music venue in the park on Mirror lake (Tuesday evenings). We would definitely stay again!

Great house in a perfect location

This was the second major stop on our family roadtrip and it was just right. The house had plenty of room for our family of 5 to stretch out and relax, and came equipped with everything we needed to feel at home. We’re enjoyed the special touches in the decor that highlighted the Olympics. We were only there for three nights, and with all the exploring we did of the area (and a day trip to Montreal), we really didn’t get to enjoy the pond activities much. The view of the pond from the house was perfect, though. During our stay, there was construction going on at the property next door, but it didn’t really cause any issues. The workers were courteous, but did start work early. The communication with the hosts prior to our visit was good.

ADK Stay In Late June in Lake Placid

Great location close to all Lake Placid attractions. Very clean! House has all the necessities. Grill was clean and easy to use. Three adults each had clean spacious rooms. Nice having a bag of coffee and vacuum packed milk upon check-in. A/C would be nice on hot Summer days/ nights. Box and ceiling fans did help. Paddling in the kayaks was great! We’ll definitely be back. Thank you!

Our Stay

We had a fantastic time at the home. We enjoyed all of the amenities, the view, and the walkability to town. It far exceeded our expectations! We enjoyed kayaking on Mill Pond and saw 2 beavers. There were many baby ducklings that our youngest loved watching swim by. Overall great place!!

A Pleasant Surprise

We celebrated a 40th anniversary with our kids here and couldn't have been happier with our stay. The beds were comfy, the kitchen well equipped, the living room large and loungy, and the sauna an added bonus. We didn't have time to try the watercraft but they looked great. We liked everything about the place.

Cozy Stay At Lake Placid

Property was nice and clean, had a great time using the paddleboard. Definitely recommend the sauna after a day of hiking and activities. For kitchen enthusiasts, there is a hidden vent hood over the stove. Glorious. You can walk to town but they werent kidding when they said it was an uphill climb.

Great Family get away

3 generations under 1 roof! Great place for grandparents, parents, and kids to stay. Paddling on Mill pond on the provided watercraft was really fun. The sauna was lovely. House was a short walk to downtown Lake Placid.

Our best LP Experience!

The six of us spent two nights at Terry's lovely house. We totally love it! The house was very clean. Sauna on the first floor was a pleasant surprise. The first floor of the house is thoughtfully arranged. Big kitchen made our breakfast cooking job easy and enjoyable. By the way the ground coffee Terry provided was excellent! (Terry, where did you get that?) Love the living room with a great view of the pond! We certainly took Terry's offer to use the 3 kayaks and a canoe to paddle around the pond after backing from our long hike. We even tried fishing, unfortunately with no luck of any catch. The view on the pond was fantastic and so memorable. We would love to come back again!

Close to necessities with great Lake view

Great communication with owner. Access to the property was easy once we found the shared driveway. Quiet, tucked away little place with all the necessities and very close to the main area of town. Also a quick drive to Whiteface or the Olympic training facilities. Stairs to the second floor and all the bedrooms are narrow and steep, that is my only caution for renting with children or elderly family Enjoyed our stay, thank you very much!

Overall nice location

Overall great stay at a nice LP location. Recommend graphite for door hinges, better mattresses/beds and bedrm luggage rack/foldout stands for suitcases. Trash cans for rooms. Recommend one king. Overall Aok but these would greatly improve comfort.

We have kids and love outdoor activities! Placid is the perfect place for us. We started running a few years ago and ran our first half marathon in Lake Placid last year. It was incredible!! The views were beautiful and the climb up the last hill to the Olympic oval for the final lap was well worth it.

Lake Placid is a great place to vacation any time of year. Excellent winter sports and a great Olympic spirit, fun summer activities and great hiking all year round. Downtown Lake Placid has great shops, restaurants, a movie theatre, night time ice skating, or a beach on Mirror Lake for swimming in the summer, plus fun bars and dancing. There are plenty of activities for kids and adults, you never run out of things to do!

Our house is on Mill Pond. You can walk into town for dinner or shopping. The kids can walk to the movie theatre in town, or a bowling alley close to the house. The pond is beautiful and peaceful. Lots of waterfowl, feed the ducks from the dock, do a little fishing with the kids or go out on the canoe or kayaks. The town has a beach on Mirror Lake and this is walking distance as well. In the winter go snowshoeing, skiing, sledding all nearby.
