Thoughtfully designed, well appointed, immaculate apartment on beautiful sprawling desert land. Unbeatable location for those wishing to adventure around the Steens. Truly a gem of a spot to relax, turn your screens off, and find solitude.

An incredibly peaceful place to stay. The apartment is well built and has a spacious and as they say, well appointed kitchen. Lovely shower. Jaylene was very kind and answered our questions. Nice to find some poetry books written by the other host in there as well. It seems evident that thought was put into the build and the furnishing of this place, and it encourages thoughtfulness as a guest too. The listing title references warm springs, but those are perhaps not soaking springs. No mention of them in the apartment and no evident path for guests to follow that might lead there. But that shouldn’t dissuade you from staying here. Its a very special place.

Perfect Spot to Explore Alvord Desert

Clean, quiet and comfortable. Modern. Amazing sunrises and sunsets. Beautiful stargazing. Deer and bunnies all over. Friendly and helpful hosts. Would absolutely recommend.

Hosts were amazing. Property was lovely. The location was outstanding. Beautiful desert and mountains all around. Very grounding! A peaceful break from city life. ❤️ 10/10!

Excellent location and great hosts

This property is located within easy driving distance of both the Alvord Desert and Steens Mtn. Loop. The apartment is also a few miles from Fields Station which has a small store, gas, and a cafe (famous for milkshakes). The apartment is well appointed and the kitchen has everything that you may need. Views are lovely and there is all kinds of wildlife to see including resident owls (binoculars recommended). The hosts are very kind and communications were excellent. I would absolutely stay here again.

Hidden Jem

This was a fabulous place to stay. If you're into staring off into wide open spaces, landsnorkeling (or whatever it's called), unplugging from life, wandering down random roads, and enjoying the sound of the wind through the sage brush - look no further. I'm tempted not to give a review out of fear of losing a treasure of a place. But, thankfully, it's quite far from anything. The hosts were absolutely wonderful. Real salt of the earth people who treasure the more thoughtful things of life. They also have fresh eggs! I recommend bringing some vodka to barter for some of them! I definitely plan on returning. Also, Google Maps puts the address on the other side of the road and about 100 yards off. But, look for the distinguishing markers that're listed in the directions they'll give. They're accurate, and there is nothing else around ... but sagebrush.

Thank you for the wonderful stay, the apartment was comfortable had everything I needed. Check in process was smooth, no contact with owner which I appreciated. Owner did notify me through app that wildlife that had shown up which was much appreciated. Room was comfortable temperature when I arrived and good lighting as I arrived late. The sunrise in the morning was incredible. I don't think I have ever seen colors like that before. Thank you for welcoming me into your property.
