I’m reluctant to give this a 5-star rating—only because if I raved about it as much as it truly deserves, I might never be able to book it again! This property is amazing: spacious, impeccably maintained, and set on beautiful grounds. The house itself is lovely, and the host was both accommodating and easy to reach. A truly exceptional stay.

Amazing Hamptons Rental

Amazing property in a perfect location right near Sag Harbor town. The house is spacious, clean and amazing for a large group. The outdoor amenities offer something for everyone. Liz is extremely communicative and answered all of our questions prior to and during our stay. I would stay here again and recommend this property. 20/10!!

Incredible lace to stay for families. You don’t have to leave the property but if you do, you are within 19 minutes of East Hampton and Sag Harbor. Lovely time and great communication back and forth.

Best house in Sag Harbor

Had an incredible time. Home is beautiful and has all the luxuries you could imagine. The owner/manager was great to work with and very understanding. Would recommend this home for anyone.

Perfect location and beautiful setting

The house is kept immaturely and worked so well for our family reunion. The house is full of fun games, activities and equipment to make a stay in the Hamptons feel like you’re at home. The homeowner Liz was a great point of contact throughout our stay! Would definitely stay again!

Perfect Hamptons getaway

We really loved the location. It was such a private location but it was also a short distance to many different hotspots. Our fishing expedition was just 30 minutes to Montauk. We shopped just about everyday and checked out each delightful district. Lobster rolls at the beaches were off the hook. It was a short bike ride or run to the closest beach. We found a lot of sea glass. The Wolfer winery was so close with beautiful scenery. The house is well stocked. The kitchen had everything you needed including a coffee station. The combination quarters to the living room meant no one missed out on gatherings or movie night. We would cool off in the pool after some brisk tennis and pickle ball matches. The house was airy and wide open. We thoroughly enjoyed this stay and this group does many VRBO travels. This house and host rank number one!

Our Favorite House Yet

My family had the best weekend staying at this property with some of our close friends to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday. The home is beautiful, super clean and just a great set up for both kids and adults. The owner was great and super responsive. We hope to rent this home again sometime soon!

Ideal for families and large groups

This property is IDEAL for families or large groups. We had a group of 6 families and everyone had their own space. The basement is MASSIVE with tons of toys and play space for kids. The property has tons for kids to do outside (playground, putting green, tennis court, and pool). The location is perfect...5 minutes by car from East Hampton, 30 minutes to Southampton, and about 30 minutes to Montauk. Check-in was seamless and the property was as-described. Only had 2 gripes...1. Although heated, the pool was still cold in mid/late September (somewhat to be expected) and 2. the upstairs floor plan is fairly open but there is no TV in that area. This would have been ideal for kids to take a break or for adults to watch fall football etc. while preparing meals/hanging out during down-time. Overall 5 stars!

Our family had a wonderful time. The house is perfect for kids. Owner was very responsive during our entire stay and checked in with me to make sure everything was ok. My SIL left some personal belongings at the house and the owner went above and beyond to get them back to us!

Great getaway!

This was an awesome house for a night away with some friends. It was wintertime so we could not take advantage of the beautiful backyard but still had a blast! Plenty of space in the house for a group of people.

Renter Beware!

From the moment the payment was given, the experience became a nightmare. HomeAway lists Mitchell as the owner, but it was Ilgenfritz who we dealt with. She was not responsive to emails or calls such that we thought it was a scam and had to contact HomeAway directly. We paid in full months in advance and contracted with her to check in at 10:00am with the deposit to be returned 1 week after checkout. The owner does not keep to her own contract. When we arrived at the house at 11:30AM, it was not ready and the cleaning staff was frantic as they were just called in. Owner “forgot” and thought check in was at 4pm. We had to wait in 90deg heat outside in the car while they finished as the house smelled of chemicals. The inside of the house was cleaned perfunctorily, the outside was not even touched. The grass was not cut or sprayed allowing for ticks that we had encountered; garbage, cigarette butts and shattered glass littered the outside and deck. Pool was also filthy lined with bugs and an oily film coating the water. The house was not well stocked even for basic toilet paper and paper towels. Owner was notified including pics of above. She actually later blamed us for not telling her sooner! She said that her cleaning crew will clean the exterior, but they never did. The only reason I stayed for the arranged time was because my whole family had already scheduled time out of work for this get-together, so we tried to make the most out of it. The owner’s disregard for renters and agreed upon contract is demonstrable. Afterwards, she broke contract yet again when she did not return the deposit 1wk of checkout. Three weeks went by after checkout and only after I followed up with her to question her did she suddenly remember to return the deposit. Not an honest person folks. Further, she tried to prevent me from posting a review while still having my deposit in her possession. She still has not refunded the cleaning fee of several hundred dollars she said she would. It is the owner’s responsibility to have a clean and safe house for renters before their arrival, but with this owner, that seems to be asking too much. She blames the renters for her own negligence and dereliction of duty. I would never recommend this property to anyone. Horrible, dangerous, and dirty place and owner. You have been warned.

All that was promised and more! Great Spot!

The property was all that was promised and more. The home was clean and up to date, with so many activities and the little touches that matter as well. We enjoyed the pool, the pool table, tennis, ping pong, and golf. The house is in a perfect spot between Sag Harbor and Easthampton villages, just a few minutes drive to either. It was also a quick trip to wineries, and the Easthampton airport. In addition, the homeowner has stocked the house with everything you need to play ping pong, golf, tennis and more. The home is equipped with a second refrigerator and an endless supply of coffee mugs, plates and everything you need. Every detail has been considered, and the homeowner provided her cell phone to call should any issues arise. We would definitely recommend the property to a friend. It is a great spot for a big family gathering. We made some great memories!

Amazing house and property

Amazing house, especially for our kids. The pictures don't exemplify how special it is. When we walked in, the toys and zip line were just the beginning. Pool was great, tennis courts and basketball hoop in great shape and all of the equipment was organized perfectly, so everything was convenient. Best of all is the amazing location so close in between sag harbor and east Hampton. House in great condition and very cozy. Owner very helpful and meticulous. We would definitely stay here again.
