Idyllische, abgeschiedene Lage für einen ruhigen Kurzurlaub in der Stadt. Haupthaus verfügt über zwei Schlafzimmer mit Kingsize- und Queensize-Betten, eine Küche und zwei Vollbäder. Den hat Ausziehcouch mit Queen-Matratze. Das Pool-Cottage umfasst eine Küchenzeile, einen Aufenthaltsraum, eine abgeschirmte Terrasse, ein Vollbad, einen großen Fernsehraum und einen Bereich zum Ausbreiten. Beide Gebäude sind klimatisiert. Neuer Gasgrill, schöne Poolterrasse aus Backstein / Schiefer zum privaten Sonnenbaden. Auf drei Seiten bewaldete Grundstücke mit einem 6-Fuß-Zaun um den gesamten Hinterhof. Perfekt für Familien oder drei Paare. Drei Minuten zu Fuß zum Privatstrand in eine Richtung. Fünf Minuten zu Fuß zu einem Full-Service-Yachthafen in die andere Richtung. 90 Minuten von Manhattan, aber eine Welt weg von der Hektik. Der perfekte Ort, um sich zu entspannen, Zeit mit Familie und Freunden zu verbringen und das Leben so zu genießen, wie es sein sollte. Genießen Sie die Dutzende von Weingütern in North Fork, die Sie bequem mit dem Auto erreichen. Für die Southold Township ist ein Mindestaufenthalt von zwei Wochen erforderlich.

Fantastic North Fork Escape

The check-in process and communication couldn't have been easier. The property was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves. Conveniently located a walkable distance from Love Lane and a short drive from wineries (which is what brought us to the area)

Lovely Stay

We had a really nice time at the Barnes' property. There are two bedrooms with two bathrooms in the main house. Just as a warning, the bed in one of the rooms is extremely high, but there is a step stool for getting in and out. The kitchen is well stocked. The second bathroom is off the kitchen. We had everything we needed and the owners were very responsive. My son stayed in the cottage with a space heater, but it was really too cold for this time of year. He could have used a few more blankets. My only minor complaint was there were no bars of soap for showering anywhere. Bring your own.Otherwise, it was a perfect stay and we will probably stay there again for the next family event.

Ultimate staycation

Although only 90 minutes from the city, Shawn and Colleen's home felt like an oasis many miles away. Our family ranges in age from 4 to 75 and we were able to hang out together comfortably to bbq or watch a movie, or spread out for a bit of quiet time (or a nap). The pool was also a life saver during a late summer heat wave. We can't wait to return next year!

Family get together

It was a perfect spot to relax and enjoy our little family reunion. The pool wasn’t open yet, and the weather was a little chilly, but the spacious back deck was a great place to gather for an afternoon glass of wine. It was only a 5 minute walk to the beach area on the bay and less than a 5 minute drive to a grocery store, drug store, restaurants, and more.

Beautiful house, lots of space, and really close to the center of Mattituck

We had a wonderful time staying at the house! Great common spaces, lots of places for people to sleep, great kitchen with lots of cutlery, and it was really conveniently located near the center of Mattituck. One slight inconvenience was that there wasn’t heat for the cottage (no fuel), and so it was a bit chilly at night, but definitely manageable. Definitely recommend others to stay at this house!

Early season fishing trip

Nice, quiet, well appointed home in a great neighborhood. Never got the wifi to work which may have been due to area issues and some tech glitch, but hosts were nice enough to discount our added night due to bad weather that extended our planned stay. Having spent time in Mattituck when young, it was great to see all the changes and revisit some favorite spots. Would stay again if/when we decide to return to L.I.

Like a Summer Resort without all the extra guests!

Marie had a wonderful time at your property. The property and the grounds were well-maintained and the pool was much larger than we had anticipated. The house was very clean and the master bed was extra large and so comfortable. We also enjoyed the local restaurants- especially Case's Place and Legends. Shawn was especially helpful with any questions we had. We hope to be back next summer!

Great location and pool!

The house is in a great and convenient area - right down the block from a nice sand beach (and beautiful Camp Mineola), near Love Lane, wineries and other beaches. The pool and backyard are fantastic! We spent our days relaxing by the pool, BBQing and taking walks down to the beach for a swim. Their are loads of fun pool toys as well. There is also a bocci court in the backyard which was a lot of fun. The main house was very nice and roomy for our family (2 adults and 1 child) and it was great to have 2 full bathrooms. The house has everything you need, including a well stocked kitchen and pool toys. Shawn and Colleen were very accessible and helpful when a couple of questions came up. We had a wonderful time at this house!

Unforgettable family vacation home!

We've been vacationing on the North Fork for several years, and Shawn and Colleen's home is by far the best house we've stayed in. The pool was a lifesaver-- my kids spent about 8 hours a day swimming and then slept like logs every night. We played ping-pong in the (giant) pool house and ate a grilled dinner every night on the deck. Of course, we left the house a few times for some Magic Fountain ice cream. The grown-ups played bocce while the kids roasted marshmallows. The beach is a short walk down the road. Swimming in the Peconic Bay is delightful-- it's shallow and fairly warm, with little fish swimming everywhere. The house is beautiful, perfect for a comfortable and relaxing stay with the whole family. We definitely plan to come gain next year!

We fell in love with the property the first time we set eyes on it. The quiet beach just a three minute walk, the pool, deck, and cottage provide space to enjoy precious moments with friends and family. Just a short walk to Mattituck Village with coffee shops, restaurants, antiques, boutiques, and more.
