Hampton Inn in Chinatown

Minimalist hotel in the city. Not sure if you end up paying a surcharge through the VRBO platform or not, seemed like I wound up paying more than the listed price for the hotel online once I found out it was the Hampton Inn, but that may be the price before taxes etc. When you have any questions, the person listed on this VRBO account tells you to just call the hotel directly. I realized too late that I probably should have just booked directly, too. Beware you may not get parking when you arrive. I have a Tesla and liked the idea of not having to search for a charger nearby or look for parking, and I called them on the day I was driving in check of I needed to bring any adapters for charging and if I needed to reserve the charging. I was told they don't really get many Teslas so it would not be a problem. However, when we arrived, the garage was full and the valet and manager could only say, "sorry." They were actually full all day (I was not told that when I had called a few hours earlier, they said there was a festival and they were "overwhelmed". Overall, the hotel appeared clean. However, when I went in the bathroom after waking up, there was a very large roach lounging in the bathtub. Not sure if this is just what you will find in a hotel in the city, I tried to just ignore it and check out as soon as I could. Everything else is pretty much self service, get it yourself. Convenient location, otherwise passable hotel. There were lots of hotels in the area.
