The Eleanor: Unit 707

Conveniently situated near the French Quarter, Superdome, and Smoothie King Center, this cozy retreat is a great location for festival season! Step into a bright living space and a fully equipped kitchen, perfect for relaxing or whipping up a quick meal. With comfortable bedrooms for peaceful nights, our central location puts the city`s attractions within easy reach. Immerse yourself in New Orleans` lively culture and diverse dining options, all just a stroll away.



The space is great if traveling with family, friends, or any type of group. The space offers 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a full kitchen, dining table and living room with a queen size sleeper sofa. Two of the king bedrooms have an ensuite bathroom and the bedroom with two queen beds also has an ensuite bathroom. The other two king bedrooms share a hallway bathroom. Two of the bathrooms have showers while the other two bathrooms offer a tub/shower combo. The living room offers a 65” TV and the bedrooms have a 55` TV. Each unit has a stacked washer and dryer for use during your stay as well.



The rooftop pool and hot tub are shared by all units in the property. The rooftop pool and hot tub are open daily from 8:00 am – 10:00pm, weather permitting. Our pool is not heated, and swimming is at your own risk. This area is designated as non-smoking.



We have a designated vaping area located on the 9th floor of the building. Smoking/vaping is strictly prohibited in our units and will set off our state of the art smoke alarm system.



The Eleanor New Orleans is located in Downtown New Orleans on Loyola Ave featuring 31 units that are 3-6 bedrooms and range from 1,178-1,959 sq ft. We are a locally owned and operated vacation rental in Downtown New Orleans on Loyola Avenue. Our arrival process is contactless, but our property manager and/or front desk staff are available 24/7 during your stay.



While our vacation rental does not offer parking, there are two public parking facilities conveniently located directly below the property. Rates are generally $20-30/24 hours (but will increase during special events and festivals). The two parking options are located just below our property. Park First Saratoga Garage #1025 and has a height clearance of 6’4”. The other option, ParkMobile Zone 50408 (surface lot), is also directly behind our building for overflow or oversized vehicles.

Transportation:

Amtrak (train) and Greyhound (bus) Stations – 0.7 miles, easily accessible via the Union Passenger Terminal via Canal St Streetcar (only $3/day on the Le Pass RTA app).



Louis Armstrong International Airport (MSY) – 14.4 miles (approx. 20 minutes without traffic) – There are many Uber/Lyft/Taxi cabs at the airport that are readily available to bring you downtown.



The Eleanor is located on a streetcar line. Use the streetcar to get to the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, City Park, Cemeteries and plenty of other areas along the way. We recommend downloading the Le Pass RTA app and getting a Jazzy Pass for getting around the city.

Pets are allowed for an additional fee of $135/stay (max 2 included). We have a designated pet relief area on the 9th floor, and there is also a grassy park located across the street from our units. Please let us know ahead of time if you are planning to bring a pet.



Early check-in or late check-out may be available for your stay for an additional fee of $300 for a 12pm arrival or $200 for a 2pm arrival. A late departure of 12pm would be an additional fee of $200 (an extra 2 hours). Unfortunately, we are unable to store luggage pre- or post-stay, so if you need to guarantee an earlier arrival or departure, we recommend booking the night before or after in order to guarantee anything earlier than the 2pm arrival or later than a 12pm departure.



We only require light cleaning prior to departure – taking out garbage and washing any dirty dishes. All linen is professionally laundered between guests.

Overall a lovely place to stay. The hosts were very communicative, friendly, and helpful. That’s a big one for me. Place was clean and beds were comfy.Bathrooms had enough towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and tp. Getting in was easy.There was a charcuterie board in the fridge when we go there, which is always a nice rental touch!There were plenty of cups, glasses, plates and silverware for our group.The frying pans need to be replaced, which I mentioned to the managers and they said they'd look into it. Kitchen amenities are very basic - no cooking oil or spices or anything like that, just salt and pepper - this has been my experience with rental places like this for larger groups that are run by a mgmt company versus a private individual. So just plan ahead if you want to do some cooking and make sure you bring or shop for things like that for cooking. There were a few mixing bowls, decent knives, and one cutting board. Baking sheets under the oven. And a couple casserole dishes.POOL - I never even looked at it, but this survey made me give it a rating... so I gave 5 stars since it wouldn't be fair to do less based on lack of an answer. With that in mind, I'd check the other reviews to see if anyone has anything to add.One thing worth noting - there are a lot of bare reflective surfaces, so it’s kind of a loud space when you have 10 people in there. The property was well kept and had everything we needed. The property manager was very responsive to emails and text messages. Our Keurig broke and was replaced within 10 minutes of sending a text, and we were even given some more pods. The rooftop pool is small, but felt good after a hot day, and the hot tub is a good size and helped relax the muscles after all the walking we did. The property is within 1 mile walking distance to French Quarter and the Riverwalk, the tram and bus stop is right across the street if you prefer not to walk. I also recommend getting the Le Pass app for travel. It was 3 for 1 day Jazzy Pass and we were able to catch a ferry to Algiers and ride the bus. Lots of great places to eat within a few blocks including Fiery Crab, WalkOns, and Italian Pie.

Spacious, Clean, and Walkable Location in NOLA

We had a great stay at this condo in NOLA! It was clean, spacious, and comfortably fit all 10 of us. The location was perfect—within walking distance to several great spots, which made exploring easy. The only suggestion we’d make is to provide a few more washcloths and extra blankets. Otherwise, everything was great and we’d definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful time during our stay! The location was perfect—just a short walk to most of the attractions we wanted to visit. The home itself was clean and comfortable. Love my stay

Parking was a concern, I think parking should be included with the cost of the Stay. Supplies for washing dishes and doing laundry should be available on a daily basis. And the coffee should be replenished every day. There should be towel service because we had to search for towels and no one was available after a certain hour.

Just a short family getaway easy check in the host was very helpful. Everything we needed was there. My niece had a package sent there before she got there and when we got there, her package was there waiting. I will stay there again next year.
