Northland Wonderhut with woodfire Sauna

This one of a kind, small space is tucked away in the northwoods of Minnesota on the shores of pristine Riley Lake and perfectly situated on the western edge of the Iron Range in Itasca County - Land of One Thousand Lakes!

Enjoy quiet time on the lake from the beautiful new patio. Amazing Bass Fishing on Riley lake from our complementary Canoe or cleansing in our custom woodfire Sauna.

The Wonderhut is conveniently located just a short drive from many amazing local destinations.

You will enter the space into the entry bathing space on the main floor, we provide screens for additional privacy if needed. The toilet is tucked away in it`s own small room off of the bathing space.

The upper floor is accessible via an open, steep metal staircase. This area is an open studio space with queen bed and futon sofa. There is a small kitchenette which includes a microwave & a convection oven, conduction hotplate, full sized fridge, coffee maker and small dining area or enjoy the outdoor, screened porch for lounging and dining.

The woodfire sauna is across the drive and up the hill from the Wonderhut and is shared with the residents of the other cabin on the property. (It is near the other house but absolutely available for the enjoyment of our guests)

The lakefront is across the yard, past the main house and is shared with the residents of the other cabin on the property and includes a dock and gradual sandy/rocky bottom and is good for boating, paddling and swimming.

We hope that you love our unique space as much as we do. It is the perfect spot to really get away and enjoy the peacefulness of the northwoods!

The Wonderhut Carriage house and adjacent patio are available for your exclusive use - you will access your space via a keypad lock at the front door. Please note that the garage will not be available for guest use.

Please let me know if there is anything that will make your stay better. It is my goal that this space be an escape and retreat for you however I am available at all times for emergencies and during standard hours to answer and resolve any non-emergency issues.

It is extremely helpful to have good contact information available for a member of your party in the event I need to contact you to resolve issues or provide information. If we need to stop by for any reason I will do my best to contact you ahead of time but we will keep any disruptions to an absolute minimum.

Wabana Lake Chain of Lakes - We recommend checking out the Historic Joyce Estates
OHV system and mine lands accessible past the mailboxes with hundreds of miles of connected trails accessible as close as Balsam just up the highway
Scenic state park: 31 miles just north on Scenic Hwy 7

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE LIVING AND BEDROOMS SPACE IS ACCESSED BY A STEEP STAIRCASE, the Bathroom is located on the ground floor.

THIS IS A SHARED PROPERTY - The dock and sauna are near the main house and are shared with the other residents of the property. Guests have full use and access to both!

The patio space is exclusively for the use of guests at the Wonderhut however the lakefront and dock are shared with the residents of the main house which is just across the drive.

Please be sure to review all house rules when booking! Home is located in a peaceful & quiet lake community. All guests staying at the home must be considerate of others in the neighboring area. Noise disturbances will not be tolerated.(quiet hours are between 10pm-7am)
Extra guest fees will be charged if more than noted guests stay the night as cleaning/laundry costs go up
No parties or events
No Illegal Substances
No Smoking indoors and please clean dispose of all smoking related items responsibly in a trash recepticle outside. (if evidence or debris is found, and/or cleaned up by our crew, guest will be charged accordingly)
Please remove shoes when you enter the house
Please return all furnishings to their original positions
Please clean grill if you used it during your stay
Use only firewood that is provided, please do not use the firewood that the neighbors have designated for their use (let us know if you have questions) or firewood you purchase. ABSOLUTELY NO cutting of firewood on the property or adjacent properties is allowed.
No burning of trash or any other materials besides firewood.
Keep all outdoor fires within the fire ring and no more than three feet tall.
PETS: - We are happy to welcome dogs with additional pet deposit - TWO DOGS MAXIMUM - we can not accommodate cats
PET OWNERS: Please keep your pets off of the furniture and plan to kennel them if they are left alone in the house - Please pick up all pet waste (use provided pet waste bags) and dispose in the outdoor trash cans. - Plan to supervise your pets carefully
