Spring Break

While a few walls could use a fresh coat, the overall feel was one of a well maintained condo
 very comfortable experience. The condo was clean and had all the necessities plus a nice view of the ocean. The building and grounds were well maintained and felt safe. This was definitely a family centered facility and not a party place for unsupervised spring breakers. Communication was great from the host. We would definitely stay here again.

We were very pleased with our short stay here. Check in and all communication was a breeze. The view is great. The condo is fairly dated but we could tell that from the pics upon booking so no fault of their own.

Beach condo

Property was as described in listing. Good communication and fast response from management. We had a few issues in the condo with the kitchen sink and lighting in the kitchen, and workers were sent to remedy the problems. The property could use some updating in paint that is peeling in multiple spots throughout the condo and other areas, such as furniture, appliances, and shower curtain due to wear. I would say that it appeared clean overall, but could use a better cleaning on a regular basis. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but would have enjoyed it more if it were more clean feeling and if there were not issues taking place in the condo. We do appreciate that they were immediately dealt with.

Very well located!

Most listings have 1 master bed with 2 twins in another room. This listing had big beds in both rooms which was important for our party of 2 couples.. The location was great, easy beach access, and quiet environment A+!

Location really helped

Condo 800 is in a great location but needs some work. Maintenance was not called for any of these issues while there because I think these issues need to be resolved while a guest is not present. There was mold in the master bathroom, the master bathroom tub did not drain well, and the second bathroom tub faucet dripped constantly. The curtains were tattered and torn on the edges. As for the main facility, the elevators were horrible. They would often not come to the floor it was called it but register as if it did. One elevator also had a door issue where it would open and close multiple times as if the sensor was broke. Before leaving a floor. Highlights of the property: the pools were cleaned daily, the beach was clean, and it is in walking distance to many dining and shopping opportunities.

Edgewater Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There were a few positives and a lot of negatives to our stay. A positive is the work that Edgewater Condominiums are doing to the outside of the building, the pool area, and other facilities. As for the condo itself. The paint throughout the condo is flaking, peeling and just looks bad. The plaster on the main bath ceiling is falling and just hanging there. The rug in the master bedroom is old and the corner in front of the door is curled up 2-3 inches and I kept tripping on it. The curtains in the master are disgusting. They are old, filthy, ripped, and faded. They need replaced. The shower in the master is partially clogged so you're standing in 2 inches of water when showering. The rug in the living room is also old and worn. The corner of the rug where everyone walks is worn away and the binding is still there creating a loop for you to catch your toes on. I had to keep folding the binding under the rug. The drop ceiling lighting in the kitchen is broken and dirty. Not the most appetizing place to prepare food. The front door side panel doesn't have a curtain so we hung a sheet over it to keep people from seeing in. If you rent this unit based on the pictures online, you will be greatly disappointed the moment you walk in the front door. Now for the positives. The views from the balcony are spectacular. The water, beach, pools and palm trees are beautiful. It is a great place to have a cup of coffee in the morning, read a book and just relax. The location of Edgewater is close to shopping, restaurants, and other businesses. The condo was comfortable in the size of it. The beds seem to have been updated and are comfortable. The kitchen was fully stoked with appliances. The flooring was new. The owner only needs to put a little work into this unit and it would be a great place to stay.

Excellent view but needs TLC

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I can’t express enough how beautiful the view from the balcony was...gorgeous. As for the actual condo: kitchen was updated but that was about it. The rest of the condo needs LOTS of TLC. Too much to write here. As for the beach: love that it’s private but the cost of chair and umbrella to rent was extremely high. It should be included in the price of the rental, which is how most of them along Miramar are. We stay in Miramar every year and this was the first time we would have had to rent. We went and bought our own chairs at a local surf shop... was way cheaper to do this...Staff was super nice and helpful upon arrival. Not sure if we will stay in Edgewater again but it absolutely served it’s purpose. We totally enjoyed our vacation.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING

Before booking here, I saw bad reviewers labeled liars&wish I’d heeded those reviewers' posts.Never been treated so unprofessionally by any company when issues arose as this one.They accused us of damage we DIDNT do&threw insults in emails instead of being professional.On arrival, we found the garage clearance is only 6” tall.If you drive a large suv, there’s few parking spaces.Helpful to know beforehand.This unit is conveniently next to the garbage chute.Unfortunately you also get to hear trash rattling down the wall every time someone uses it.The updated flooring in our unit was fine,but they left all the extra tiles stacked in our master closet,leaving no room to put any of our luggage.We were leery of sitting at the balcony table&chairs bc they looked rusted&filthy.Fridge froze all of our produce&while the condo’s binder warned of overloading the fridge,we only had about 10 items.total waste of money bc we couldn’t eat half of what we bought.Check out is 10am.The door code disabled before 9am.Thankfully we realized it with someone still inside.Bring your own washcloths.They only supply 2 black ones for makeup removal/bathroom+one cheap makeup wipe.If you use the white washcloths for makeup they’ll charge another $150 after checkout to replace linens.In no way are they worth that.I don’t care that we got charged more, I just want to save someone else the trouble of dealing w/this unprofessionalism. Our stay certainly wasn’t worth it&I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Only in a pinch

The building grounds, pools, and beachfront are wonderful, and we chose this unit since all other comparable ones at the Edgewater, mostly rented through their own agency, were booked. We have stayed in many units there over 25+ years, and this one does not stand up to the other units. It was reasonably clean, but very worn around the edges. Holes on the wall in the kitchen, missing toilet roll holder in bathroom exposing unsightly brackets, trim and doors badly in need of paint. Two biggest complaints: TV in 2nd bedroom is not hooked up to cable, and no apparent way to do so. I suppose you could watch a DVD on it, but not regular TV. Secondly, we were without hot water for 4 days due to a bad circuit breaker. Manager responded right away to the request for help, but the replacement did not come until near the end of our stay. The family endured many cold showers in the meantime. For the price paid (actually higher than other units because beach service is not included), this was an unacceptable outcome. My respectful request for a reasonable rebate or some form of consideration has gone unanswered thus far.

Horrible Condo - Great Location

So many things to list: - The condo has black mold and unless we get some kind of a refund we will be turning this unit into the health department -The condo didn't have internet for over half the time we were there - The walls had holes in them and were disgustingly dirty, as they probably haven't been wiped down in months or longer - The trim was filthy, literally discolored and looked as if it had never been cleaned. - The toilets ran off and on forever, we called the manager but never got a call from the plumber. - The hot water went out half way through the trip, again never heard back from a plumber. - The shower backed up and was 30 years old, standing cold dirty water up to our ankles, so gross. - The outdoor property was in a great location, close to restaurants and shopping. The pools were decent but needed more attention to the cleanliness. The Gym was dated but usable and nice to have easy access. - It was surprisingly hard to get Ubers to our place at certain times of the day. Definitely rent a car if you can. Overall the place was filthy. The owner supposidly lives in Europe and the management team was probably told to just put bandaids on anything that breaks, and doesn't seem to care about the place much at all. If it were my place, I'd be very upset about the quality of rhe condo being as run down as it was, and the fact that people having family vacations had to out up with such a dirty and dated condo. I wish VRBO had better quality control, we have a condo that we VRBO and I can assure this place should not be getting marketed.

Summer vacation

We had a good experience here. It was easy to check in and the property manager responded promptly to questions. The only issue was a leak in the master bathroom but they did make us aware before we got there. We did have to rent beach chairs which we knew about from the progeny description. Just to be helpful to others, the umbrella and 2 chairs were 40 a day plus tax. It was very simple to rent them with the vendors. The condo was clean and had beautiful views.

Need major update!

I would never rent this condo again. The furniture is 30 years old really ugly bathrooms have broken paper holders drapes are gross. No chairs no umbrella included. I’ll go another route next time.

I’ve been coming to edge water for 20 years. The condo needs a lot of updating.

Easy to book. Felt disappointed that the beach chairs cost extra. Never paid for them before. Overall, you just can’t beat the view. I’ll book somewhere down here next year Lord willing.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was clean and pretty. We loved the location and the manager was so attentive to our needs. Would rent again and again.
