Family friendly lake home with something for everyone. Enjoy your morning coffee on the upstairs balcony while you whip up a delicious breakfast on the Blackstone. When the most important meal of the day is complete, gather on the middle deck to plan the rest of your day. Head down to the private dock for all the water activities you could imagine from fishing to kayaking and paddleboarding. Have a boat? Bring that too! Lake Decatur is perfect for tubing and wakeboarding with the launch just across the lake. When the sun goes down, you can light up the firepit and roast hot dogs and marshmallows! Or head inside for a family friendly games like Yahtzee and Uno.
Need quiet time? Snuggle up with a book from our library in front of the fireplace, or flip on the TV and catch your favorite show through Roku guest access. Maybe this is a workcation? Enjoy the view while you solve all the worlds problems. You will find something for everyone to do at our beautiful home!

Perfect gathering spot on Lake Decatur—spacious, welcoming, and ideal for making family memories!

Our family just wrapped up a reunion at this beautiful Lake Decatur home, and it could not have been more perfect! The house was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a large group to relax, cook together, and enjoy the lake. From early morning tea on the deck to evenings spent laughing on the balcony, it was the ideal gathering place for making memories. The owners were wonderful to work with—responsive, kind, and welcoming—which made the whole experience stress-free. This was actually our second stay here, and hopefully not our last. If you’re looking for a spot to bring family or friends together, this rental is truly a gem. We can’t recommend it enough!

Excellent property! Spacious inside and well furnished. Beds and furniture were very comfortable, and the home was incredibly clean and well maintained. The host’s communications were great, and we would definitely stay again!!

This is our second time staying at this house. We had a wonderful weekend. The house was spotless when we arrived. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need to cook with. We also enjoyed both of the outdoor grills. We spent most of the weekend outside. The deck and kayaks were put to good use.

Fantastic Stay

Can’t say enough about Jess and Dan’s place. It was super clean and very spacious, stocked with everything you could possibly need. The view from the back is so picturesque and peaceful. We didn’t use the paddle board or kayak but the fishing was great - caught a bunch of catfish and bluegill off the dock. We also used the huge gas grill one night with no problem. Jess and Dan were perfect hosts. They checked in on us daily via text and were quick to respond to questions. Don’t hesitate - I highly recommend.

super great and accommodating Host

work trip with 6 of us and it was perfect. two living room relaxing areas felt like 2 homes in one. Views were great. they decorated it for Christmas which felt like home. We loved the blackstone for cooking dinners. We really appreciate the host. Everything worked. The washer and dryer were large and great!

Awesome lake house

This place is exceptional! The owners are very accessible, thoughtful and helpful. Cooking Thanksgiving dinner was a pleasure in their kitchen! Eating together at the beautiful dining room table was perfect. Plenty of games, puzzles, books and televisions provide fun entertainment and relaxation. We hope to return!

Fantastic Lake Front Oasis

Super spacious & very clean lake front home was the perfect relaxing oasis for our group of ladies. We had everything we needed to cook in the kitchen & there was something for everyone to enjoy the perfect weather outdoors! We loved the three separate decks & the docks for jumping into the lake & the use of the stand up paddle board and kayak! The home itself is way more spacious than the pictures show & the layout is great! We had everything we needed! The hosts were very responsive both before & during our trip with questions that we had. The app guide was very easy to use & had great information. We are definitely staying here again!

Amazing family retreat!

We had an amazing time at this VRBO on Lake Shore Decatur for our family reunion! The house was perfect for our big family, with plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy the stunning lake views from the balcony. The communication with our host was exceptional—they went above and beyond when a minor issue arose, resolving it quickly and making sure we had everything we needed for a fantastic stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend!

Great lake house

We had a great time staying at this beautiful lake house. The property had two docks and wonderful amenities. We never really used the game room (darts, big connect 4, etc.) because we had young children and we spent most of our time outdoors. We took the kayak and paddleboard out and our kids had their first fishing experience, even catching a little fish for the first time ever. Everything was really well organized and labeled and the owners were really responsive. The house was one of the most stocked that I had ever been at with swimming towels and lots of spices and cookware/utensils in the kitchen. Only minor downside was there really wasn't an easy way to get outside to a grassy area for our dog without going up/down lots of stairs but we managed. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely come back.

Comfortable, Cozy Lake Getaway

Beautiful and well-kept lake property with very friendly, helpful owners. Perfect location if you’re looking for a relaxing, low-key lake environment to share with friends and family. Close to stores, restaurants, and regional attractions. Interior is large but intimate, so people can have their own space without feeling isolated. Nice place to vacation for a few days!

Homelike place on the lakefront.

Beautiful accommodation on the lakefront. Good for the young in body. There were too many steps for some of the guests. The kitchen was well stocked with the most complete utensils few households have. The interior was tastefully chosen and extremely comfortable for most age levels.

We have always spent time on the water. From a young age tubing on Grandpa's boat, then traveling as adults to experience the amazing lakes and rivers of IL, MI, WI, etc. with friends and family. We've always wanted our own happy place that was close enough to drive, but far enough for a true get away.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

As the house sits up on a bluff, the views could keep one entertained for hours. The Eagles, Woodpeckers, Hummingbirds, (and lots more) are beautiful to watch, and even late summer, migrating pelicans pay this beautiful lake a visit! When we arrive and walk out onto the deck, we are immediately on "lake time". The sunrise is spectacular and the sunsets are even better. Being 3 hours from major metro areas like Chicago, Indianapolis and St Louis, this is the perfect location to get away from it all.
