This place was wonderful to stay in for a couple nights on our trip through Maine. It’s just steps from the beach and nice and quiet. I was worried about the train that others mentioned in their reviews, but we didn’t even notice it. We enjoyed our stay and will again next time we are in the area.

Best vacation we have ever had. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and beautiful. There is a private path to the beach, we were able to watch the sunrise almost every day. Beach view was beautiful from the deck off the property as well. We opened the windows and fell asleep to the sound of the ocean each night. Host was amazing, so attentive and made sure our stay was great! The cabin had all our needs there for cooking and eating. The host has carefully put together a book of local attractions and eating. It was such a helpful addition. We can’t wait until our next trip and will be booking with Lena again!

We absolutely loved our stay at this adorable cottage! Just a short walk down a private path to the beach, it was the perfect spot for our girls’ trip. Lena was an amazing host — so thoughtful, accommodating, and attentive to every detail. The cottage was spotless and so close to the water; we could hear the ocean from inside, which made it wonderfully relaxing. We also loved that it was an easy, pleasant walk into town for shopping and dining. It was exactly what we needed to unwind and enjoy each other’s company. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Beautiful private cottage with such ease of access to beach. The sand was much more pleasant to walk on than the sand directly in town which is about a 5-10 minute walk depending on if you’re distracted looking for sand dollars and shells. The owner Lena was so accommodating to my wild children, my anniversary and daughter’s birthday was celebrated during our stay, and Lena brought a small cake & gift to my daughter on her special day. Additionally, she had asked about children’s ages and upon arrival of stay each had a gift waiting for them. I loved falling asleep to the sound of waves right outside our windows on the cooler nights of our stay. Of course that is once we were accustomed to the sound of the train passing by. However, do not let this deter your stay! As someone who lives in a quiet area of upstate NY (we can sleep with our doors unlocked at night and live just 3- 4 minutes off the highway/town with no concerns of intruders to give an idea) as after one night we had become accustomed to the sound of train passing through and enjoy the sounds. We will be returning in 2 years and looking forward to our stay again!

Peaceful Beautiful Beach

Property is beautiful and very comfortable and spotless. Host is a pleasure to deal with. The beds were very comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. You can hear the relaxing sound of the waves through the house. Outside seating area has view of the beach that is just steps away. Our family loved this property. Very quiet private location on a beautiful part of old orchard beach.

Perfect Beach Getaway

Our kids and family loved this cottage right on Old Orchard Beach! The proximity to the beach is unmatched and made it so easy to spend long fun days at the beach just steps away from home. The cottage had ample space four our family of five. We made great use of the fantastic kitchen to eat in for many meals so we could spend more time on the beach. Lena was a great host who made sure we had everything we needed and even had some fun surprises for our two little ones. This property really is an OOB gem!

Location was amazing. Quiet, almost private beach steps from the door. You can play at the beach all day & BBQ/cook dinner with everything available for your needs. You can walk to the pier after dinner to go on the rides or get dessert. Owner was friendly & helpful. Will definitely be back.

Perfect Vacation Location!!

With breathtaking views of the ocean, this cottage has everything for an incredible family vacation. The cottage is thoughtfully "ocean themed" designed to make one relax upon entry. With a newly renovated kitchen and bathroom, you'll have everything you need to prepare scrumptious meals while only steps from the ocean. One of our favorite features of the cottage is the large outside deck area to enjoy the sounds of the waves while visiting with family. Even though you are enjoying the ocean life, there were native birds signing in the morning while morarch butterflies passed by. Highly recommend this property!!!

Family Paradise Found at Old Orchard Beach !

We treated our family to what turned out to be our best family getaway ever. Firstly, the location of the property is ideal. You arrive to a private parking lot with space enough for you to park 4 cqrs. Steps away a private sand beach path opens up to the most beautiful section of OOB. You are away from the crowds, but can easily walk down the beach to the pier area. No worries about finding parking or having to cross the street to get to the beach. Our grandchildren, ages 3 & 5, thought this was the best place to play and we had no worries about their safety. They were even treated to gifts of beach toys by the owner. She was wonderful. She was so personable, acommadating, easy to contact, and she made sure everything was just right and ready for us. The house was immaculate with very comfortable furnishings, beautiful new flooring, and well supplied kitchen needs. Outside was a large patio table and chairs complete with a barbecue grill. This was a gem of a rental. We have never rented a house before or used Verbo. Must have been beginner's luck. We are looking no further and plan to bring the family back again next summer!

Exactly what we needed!

The location for this property is perfect for those with kids, it’s far enough away from the crowds but close enough to walk everywhere! The beach is also steps away which makes extra convenient as well. The owner is extremely welcoming and always there to assist if needed! We are hoping to come back next year!

Awesome beach vacation and experience

Lena was great, so personable and helpful.My husband, son and I were able to just leave the car parked at the cottage and walk down a private path daily to the beach.Family members came to visit us and Lena gave them a free parking pass. There is parking for 4 cars.The cottage is close enough to walk to the festivities at OOB.There is also a shuttle bus that stops nearby and just $1.00 for seniors.The fireworks on Thusday night was spectacular.We were lucky enough to grab seats on the pier and had an awesome view.The main air conditioner in the cottage was on the first floor but it was always comfortable throughout the cottage.We had everything we needed and did not mind bringing our own linens for our family and would rather it be that way..There were movies that Lena left for us to watch but the weather was so good we did not get a chance to watch them.We went to the OOB museum and also drove to Portland and enjoyed the Cryptozoology museaum.We would highly recommend the area and this cottage.

Nous avons passé une semaine fabuleuse. Le site est superbe, tranquille, vraiment sur la plage, qui est très belle. La maison très bien pour une famille de 5-6. Les propriétaires sont merveilleusement disponibles et généreux, toujours là pour rendre votre semaine plus agréable. Je recommande sans la moindre hésitation cette destination. the best location at OOB

This cottage is in the perfect location, just far enough from the crowd, but not too far of a walk to downtown. The cottage is clean and cozy, it worked well for 8 of us, even with one bathroom we didn't have any issues. The view of the ocean from the balcony and the sitting area on the patio were my favorite places to be along with having dinners on the patio, it was perfect! We had the best location on the beach, very private not having others on top of you, we had plenty of room for our group and we bring a lot with us! A quick 2 minute walk and you were on the beautiful soft sand! The owner was next door, available if needed, she was very helpful and so friendly. We would definitely stay here again!

We happened upon this property by chance, but serendipity was truly serendipitous for us. The cottage was clean, honestly the cleanest I ever rented in my 30 years of renting. From almost every room you can here the ocean, which is just 39 steps away, yes we counted. Wherever we stay (my family) we always find our spot the hub of our vacation ( obviously other than the beach), well at Serendipity it’s the patio area outside the cottage 😊. With it’s inviting furniture that provides comfort and convenience it’s a great place to unwind and relax and that would be enough but that’s not the best part from this spot you can see, hear and experience the beach without the sand. I had a few morning and afternoon snoozes there, it was so quiet and relaxing. The hosts of the property are awesome wonderful folks, they thought of everything if you need it, it’s there, if you forgot it, just ask they have extra you couldn’t find better more enjoyable people to rent from. For those who don’t know, on this end of the beach the sand is like powder, the surf is pretty clam and it’s not crowded because there’s no public parking or bathrooms. I highly recommend

Cozy Cottage Steps From The Beach

We totally lucked out with this property. There was a cancellation and Bam!! ; Serendipity found us!! Spent Fourth of July week here and it was amazing. Just steps from the best stretch of beach in OOB. A ten minute walk to the pier and Palace Playland. We grilled most nights and enjoyed dinner on our private patio watching the spectacular sunsets. The owners are right next door and that was very helpful not to mention how friendly they are. There was six of us so the one bathroom was tricky. We managed, so not a real biggie. Not having a washer and dryer was inconvenient but by all means not a deal breaker. We would definitely recommend this rental and we can't wait to come back.

PERFECT FAMILY BEACH VACATION IN BEST LOCATION

My family , 4 adults and 2 sons , stayed in this house for our vacation week and it was absolutely perfect. Upon arrival, the owner was there and walked us through the house , explaining where everything was located and even had a book she made of the local restaurants and vacation spots to visit. We could never have asked for a better location. It’s on a private lot at the end of a dead-end street, steps to the beach. There are no hotels on the street and only a few houses. Very residential area and super quiet at night it was amazing. We’ve stayed at many places in Old Orchard Beach in years past, but never had the peace and quiet we experienced at this cottage. It was exactly as described plus more. The owners were extremely friendly and gracious during our week stay and provided everything in the house you could ever dream of. There was also board games for the kids to play. Also the grilling set-up outside and the outdoor furniture in front of the house was our little piece of heaven. The weather was beautiful so we ate outside most of the time and didn’t want to go home at the end of the week. What was great is the beach in front of the house was never crowded during the whole time we were staying there. Yet when I looked towards the pier the beach there was packed !! Lucky us !! The house itself was lovely inside. The pillow top beds were really comfy and there was 3 flatscreen TVs which meant no fighting at night over TV shows. Very short walking distance to all the shops and rides downtown. Had some great wraps at a sub store only a block away . We cannot say enough positive things about the house, location, beachfront and the owners. Highly recommend this cottage for a truly relaxing vacation! We will definitely be back! Tina D .
