This home was an absolute gem! The hostess was beyond accommodating and friendly. The place was impeccably clean and very nicely decorated. The house itself is super neat because it was built in the early 1900s with some original fixtures but has been tastefully entirely re modeled. There was ample room for our family who visited from Florida for an extended family reunion nearby. The beds were very comfortable and every room had shades and blackout curtains. My kids thoroughly enjoyed kids toys and games available in the nursery. Since we had several adult couples the separated spaces on the second and third floors were perfect. The outdoor space was also perfect. . Thank you so much for sharing your place with us!!

Lisa’s home was an absolute pleasure to stay in. It was beautiful, charming, and incredibly welcoming. The backyard was peaceful and relaxing the perfect place to unwind after long days at the basketball tournament.We traveled with a large group for our kids’ tournament, and one of our favorite parts of the stay was that there was plenty of seating for everyone to gather around the table. It was the first trip where we were all able to eat together like one big family. The beds were very comfortable, the showers had amazing water pressure, and the air conditioning kept the home cool and comfortable despite the summer heat. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook and even bake.Lisa was an outstanding host from start to finish. She was incredibly responsive, answered every question quickly, and gave us fantastic recommendations for things to do during our downtime. She was genuinely kind and thoughtful, and even surprised each of our players with a small gift waiting for them when we arrived. That personal touch meant so much to all of us.This was, without a doubt, one of the best Vrbo experiences we’ve ever had. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Lisa’s home to anyone visiting the area!

Great stay

This is a lovely spacious home in a quaint and quiet community. The kitchen is a dream and the house is even roomier than it appears in the photos. And the owners are very responsive. I look forward to a return visit.

Great weekend stay!

My mom, daughter and I really enjoyed our stay! The home looked just like the pictures and it was clean. Communication and information provided by Lisa was great and much appreciated. Beds were comfy and we loved the ease of entry and parking. Great neighborhood with lots of restaurants nearby. Highly recommend!

Charming Home!

This charming house is one of a kind! Beautiful, large rooms and located in a quaint, nice neighborhood. We loved the porch and the deck. Everything was comfortable and the host was very accommodating. We can't wait to book again!

Home away from home

Lisa was a great host with communicating for every question we had about the property. Also offered us so much info about what was going on in area. The home was so spacious for my big family. It was tidy and clean with all necessities. We will definitely stay here again!

Great neighborhood and very comfortable home

The house was lovely. Better than in pictures. Such a big beautiful home. We really enjoyed staying there. It was very convenient for my group of friends. The house is very well stocked. It felt like a home. Only thing is there is no microwave. lol just be aware. We loved it and would stay again

Perfect for Families with Kids

My husband, mother-in-law, 7-month-old baby, and I stayed over the Thanksgiving holiday. The house was PERFECT for our needs - spotlessly clean, spacious, extremely well-equipped, and very comfortable. Lisa was so friendly and communicative, and she provided almost everything we needed for the baby, including toys, multiple crib options, tub mat, tub toys, baby towels. The house is on a quiet street but is only half a block to a grocery/liquor store, restaurants, bar, coffee shop, and the train. If we have occasion to be back in the area, we will definitely stay here again!

A vital component of my wedding day

My husband and I booked this home to gather with our bridal parties and families on our wedding day while we got ready. This home was cozy, picture perfect, and big enough to comfortable host our bridal party. We ended up taking the majority of our group pictures in the backyard because it was simply gorgeous. Thank you to Lisa the host for being so attentive to detail and in going above and beyond as our host. In light of the wedding she left us some strawberries, a bouquet of white roses and wine. The house is worth the price and more. With endless amounts of opportunities to make your stay as fun and as comfortable as possible. There are instruments (which we definitely enjoyed), games, tv’s, etc. And there are so many cooking utensils and seasonings that we really were well taken care of. To try to show how beautiful this home really is in the few pictures is impossible. When we arrived, though I knew it was going to be nice, it was overwhelmingly beautiful, it was tidy, clean, and warm. It will definitely exceed your expectations! 100% recommend this home to everyone!

I love to Host! I have lived in the little City of South Amboy for 40 years, & central NJ my whole life. I raised my 4 children in The House & many of the kids from town, The House was a safe space for many & has a reputation for always being full of positive energy & welcoming guests, family & friends near & far. I enjoy preparing for my guests & creating special touches to make their stay enjoyable. I love traveling, spending time with my family, especially my grandchildren! I love caring for my home & my gardens & hope you can stay & enjoy our hospitality!

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

I chose the small town, little city of South Amboy as I love living in a walkable friendly place & raising my children in a safe environment where they were free to enjoy the freedom it allowed for. I love being able to walk to town from The House & grab dinner, ice cream, hear some live music & have a drink. I love being able to grab a delicious cup of coffee & bagel or pastry from the many cafes, bagel shops, diner & even dunkin donuts on Broadway! I have 10 minute access to the Garden State Parkway, The NJ Turnpike! The train to NYC or the Jersey Shore & the Ferry to downtown Manhattan are blocks away from The House!, there are convenience stores, a bank on the corner for ATM use, houses of worship honoring many religions, the Raritan Bay & Park!

The House is 120 years old! It has old home charm, working radiators, large plank wood floors, original fluted trim & windows with a modern classic look. Ten foot ceilings on the first floor & 3 working floors to rest, relax & enjoy! The third floor attic is an apartment unto itself minus a kitchen! The House is newly renovated with a 4 year young kitchen, & baths. The House has a beautiful patio, custom outdoor table that seats 12, flower gardens & a 3 car driveway. The House is 10 houses from Broadway where you can find restaurants, live music in classic Bars, dunkin donuts, pappa Johns, Homemade pizza shops, diner, cafes, & the train to NYC or the Jersey shore blocks away. We also have a Ferry that you can walk to which will take you to downtown Manhattan. The beuatiful Raritan Bay is 3 blocks away where you can walk along the water, walk the beautiful pathway & enjoy the wild life, sailboats, the view of the famous Light House & New York City. We have 3 floors to enjoy in a quiet & friendly neighborhood. I hope you can join us for a stay!
