Thanks John! You were actually quite lucky to see geese raising their goslings on the lake. They only come every few years, and leave as soon as their young are able to fly, usually in early July. For anyone who's concerned about an "abundance of geese poop" rest assured that it is only one family at a time, and they don't stay very long. But it's delightful watching them swim and feed!

Alyssa, I'm so sorry you weren't able to reach me, Dan or Amy. It was right before the election and we, like so many people, were getting so many calls from unknown numbers. I don't think any of us received a text, but regardless, this shouldn't be an issue in the future!

Hi Eileen, thank you so much for your honest feedback. I’m really sorry to hear that your stay wasn’t what you’d hoped for. That’s never the experience I want guests to have, and I truly appreciate you taking the time to share what could have been better. Amy and Tracey strive to clean the house as well as they can between stays. It may be that they fell short this time, but their usual standard is very high. The storm door to the front deck actually isn't broken - I took off the spring mechanism so small children wouldn't get injured. I did need to tape off one sliding glass door because a guest's dog ran through the screen just before you arrived, but the air flow is normally quite good. That said, we indeed do not have AC so August may not be the best time for those who are especially sensitive to the heat (up to mid-80s during the day, but always cooling down to the low 70s at night). And just to let everyone know - in the fall we were able to completely regrade our driveway! I do appreciate that you reached out during your stay and gave me the opportunity to help where I could. It means a lot that you saw the potential in the home, and I hope you’ll consider visiting again in the future so we can give you the five-star experience you deserve!
