Foxglove Cottage - A Country Retreat

I am disappointed since we provided a child gate within minutes of a request. Food was left in the fridge, trash left in the house instead of being taken out to the exterior trash 5 ft away from the front door. 2 parents, a crib and a child should not use a queen a full. Two twins and a crib. Towel and wash cloth was missing, and damage to the antique twin bed occurred by a child using something that cannot be removed without stripping the varnish. Disheartened. First guest to have had damage from and didnt let me know.

It is quite upsetting on the rare occasion that we get a negative review, and even more upsetting when the reviews are inaccurate or based on not understanding country and farm life. The picture of a large grey building is the large equestrian center, obviously not a small cottage. The lock box does work perfectly but you have to line up the numbers in the correct order. There is a motion control very bright light above the door of the cottage, unless you mean street lights, the country does not have street lights. The A/c unit is a split systems and is set to a certain temp it only turns on to heat or cool, unless adjusted on the remote. The driveway is a mile long and is up a hill, it is dirt, no potholes, but during the winter you do need 4 wheel or all wheel driving. Electric small low cars have no problem during the summer. I am not sure why the outside grounds are disappointing. The lawn is mowed, the flower garden is weeded. The pastures are mowed, trails are mowed, and a path to the lake is mowed. The trash was picked up the day after they arrived. The note about the donkeys and the mini horse only being fed once is ridiculous, first they are on pasture and are fed hay and grain every morning. The note about the cobwebs in the barn is accurate, there are cobwebs in the barn even though cobwebbed frequently. Its a barn! The manure pile is where we store manure until spread.
