Experience the breathtaking beauty of Shoreline Cove! Indulge in mesmerizing sunsets, unwind on rustic and soothing beaches, and savor the simplicity of fishing right from the shore. Wake up to the tranquility of morning coffee on the deck, accompanied by the playful sight of horses frolicking in the pasture. Your idyllic getaway awaits! About this space
The home itself is 700 feet from the road, giving you lots of privacy and safety for children and pets. It has a wonderful veranda that you can sit out on and see the stars – no light pollution in Lot 7! The house itself features 2.5 stories. The house is an old quaint farmhouse, but newer than many of the farmhouses in rural PEI, having been rebuilt after a fire that destroyed it in the 1930s, and being in excellent condition.
The space
Shoreline Cove is located in beautiful Lot 7 Prince Edward Island, on Route 14, The Shore Road, overlooking the community of Burton, and St. Mark’s Catholic Parish, established in 1879. The view from the slope it sits on top of includes the Community Pasture, dotted all summer with cows and their calves of all colors. You might even find a few tiny wild strawberries in the fields in early July. The deck is 100x12 and accommodates 50 people comfortable for reunions, weddings, parties.
I have added 2- half baths. One shower and sink/vanity in basement, and one toilet and sink/ vanity on the second floor, for a total of three including the main floor full bathroom...
I have also remodeled the pantry to add a built in dishwasher and double sinks.
A pony is available for children's rides, and you will be able to pet and groom the horses, even learning about their care and feeding. There is usually a foal.
Guest access
At White’s Cove, just at the bottom of the hill a quarter mile away, you may even launch your small boat, or have a bonfire. The swimming is safe for children; sandbars are all along the shore.
The community consists of a dozen cottage homes, and as many permanent homes. The parish is active, offering twice weekly-services, and the parish hall has ceilidhs all summer long, featuring Island talent. Tickets are $15. for adults. Excellent Island talent.
We are a short distance from the Mill River Golf Course and Resort. We are also within easy reach of West Point Lighthouse and Restaurant. Bloomfield Mall has a supermarket, health food store, Hair and Beauty Spa, and a family restaurant that serves breakfast from 6:00A.M. In August, you can buy fresh lobster right off the fishing boats at Howard’s Cove. My family owns Cascumpec Bay Oyster Company, and I offer $25. gift certificate for oysters.
There is a bike, paddleboard, and kayak rental that will bring the equipment to you and pick it up. Make reservations.
