I want to first thank you for booking Springhill Bungalow, and for submitting a review. We agree with you that it is a “great” place to stay when visiting Mobile. As for your concern about the cameras, please note that cameras were only installed outside at the front door, at the back door, and at the East and West sides of the house. Per the stated policies of the online vacation sites where the property is listed, we are instructed that cameras are permitted only outside for the security of the property and guests during their stay. As stated earlier, the cameras that concerned you are located outside at the front door, the back door, and the East and West sides of the house. Additionally, the locations of the cameras are disclosed in the online information about the property. We absolutely abide by VRBO's policy that prohibits any cameras be installed inside of the home. Given our clear compliance with the rules and regulations, the claim of an invasion of privacy is blatantly false. Furthermore, the cameras are installed, and will remain installed, as a security measure for both the property and the future guests. As for the inquiry about the number of overnight guests, it was simply a matter of clarification. Your booking was originally for two overnight guests. In my conversation with your husband after your stay, I was told that you had a total of five overnight guests, the three additional guests consisting of two adults and one child. This clear violation should have resulted in an additional charge of $300. As a courtesy, we chose to only add an additional $50. As your husband noted in our conversation, we manage this property with professionalism and respect. Your husband was understanding and receptive in clarifying the confusion about the number of guests, even saying in a message that he would be giving a “glowing review” of the property. Despite your negative review, do know that we take pride in providing a home away from home, where our guests feel safe and secure. Thank you for staying at Springhill Bungalow.
