Just nine minutes walk from the beach and five minutes drive from the heart of historic St. Augustine, The Retreat at Vilano blends coastal charm with modern luxury. You’re close enough to everything — yet somehow, it feels worlds away.



☀️ Mornings begin slowly. Coffee in hand, you wander into the open-concept kitchen, sunlight spilling across the 9-foot ceilings and stylish décor. The full coffee and tea bar waits for you — beans, creamers, sugars, teas — all ready for your perfect start. Maybe you’ll take your mug out back, where string lights drape across the patio and the LED cowboy pool shimmers invitingly. In summer, it’s a refreshing plunge; in winter, an ice-cold wake-up call that leaves you laughing and alive.



🏖️ Days unfold easily. Pack up the beach cart (already stocked with towels, chairs, and a cooler) and take a short walk to your own semi-private beach. With no public parking nearby, it’s never crowded — just waves, soft sand, and space to breathe.

You will have access to the entire home and lot.



The Neighborhood:

The beautiful and highly sought after Vilano Beach area is pristine landscape. Our particular location is a close to 3 amazing Vilano beach restaurants including The Reef, Aunt Kate's, and world famous Cap's on the Water. In addition, the exclusive beach is a short 9 minute walk.



Getting Around:

Ubers and Lyfts are plentiful and available, but downtown St Augustine is also only a 5 minute drive.



Other Things to Note:

Safety:

The hallways are lit with photosensor nightlights, so you can see your way at night when moving throughout the house. Attached at each photosensor light is an emergency, battery pack powered light, that can be detached and automatically turns into a flashlight. There are multiple escape routes throughout the house that are listed at the bottom of this handout. There is a motion sensor light over the main driveway.



Pool Alarm:

There is a pool alarm located on the sliding doors leading to the backyard. Anytime this door is opened or closed, the silence button needs to be activated prior to opening or the alarm will go off. This alarm is loud, on purpose! This prevents children and other youngin's from being unattended around the pool area. This cannot be turned off or unplugged.



Below the sink is the fire extinguisher, as well as the first aid kit.



The solo firepit is staked to the ground, there is a hose connected to the side of the house can be used to douse a fire if needed.



You will be given a code that only is available to you, it will be given to you 24 hours prior to your departure and is deleted and invalid within hours of checkout.



The Retreat at Vilano is a fantastic place for families and children of all ages. While it is family-friendly, it is not child-proof. Furniture is not bolted into the walls, and drawers and cabinets are not equipped with child safety fasteners or locks. Ultimately, you accept responsibility for the safety of all guests including children <18 years old. We do provide a child gate, as well as a pack and play. There is also an alarm on the sliding glass window that needs to be silenced before opening it. This keeps little kids from wondering into the pool area.



Interaction with Guests:

We will do our best to offer any help you need, but we offer a self check-in that is 100% fully automated should that be what you prefer.
