Overall nice property

Our two night stay was very enjoyable. As mentioned in other reviews there are some specific instructions about accessing the property, but they were clear and easy to understand. The property rep was very responsive to communications We would stay here again.

Beautiful, Modern & Super Clean House!

We were a family of four and our stay here was wonderful! Fine dining, coffee shops, eclectic stores & college town vibes all within a 5 minute drive. This area epitomizes what successful gentrification can accomplish.

Halloween in Nashville

Lots of space, clean, updated, master bathroom shower was excellent. Check in was very easy. Suggestions: Coffee pot, paper towels, silverware, top sheets on the bed, need wash cloths.

We had a nice stay. Lots of room. Easy ride share to Broadway. Street parking was close and ample. Close to an Kroger. Only con was place needed a wipe down in places. Overall, would stay again.

outside and inside are beautiful! location is close to all the action and the rooftop is great! I expected there to be more staples offered {coffee maker, toaster, towels in the bathrooms} but other than that, great for a bachelorette trip!

Cute and cozy getaway

Loved the property didn’t necessarily love the location. Close to broadway but also across the street from not the best neighborhood. The only issue we had with the actual space was 2/3 showers didn’t have hot water so 5 girls were sharing one shower.

Terrible Unsafe Location

We didn’t even end up staying at the house because as soon as we pulled up, they were all kind of issues with people floating around from the government housing and the liquor store right behind the house. I wish I had read the reviews before renting it. Terribly unsafe for a group of women and vastly overpriced for the area. We ended up having to rent two hotel rooms

The house is nice and generally close to downtown, however the neighborhood is not great at all. Drug deals regularly occuring directly across the street. Homeless people loitering around and napping right out the window. Definitely not an area where you would want to go for an evening walk. Lots of dusty areas in the house that were poorly cleaned including cobwebs in the master shower. Missing handrail on the 3rd floor. Missing towel bars, etc. The lawn was overgrown until half way through our stay.

Plenty of room!

This property was great! Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, beautiful kitchen area, bathrooms on the second floor were very spacious. There were cobwebs on some of the stairs, but with that many stairs I’m sure it can get missed. That being said there are a lot of stairs just fyi. There are two parking spaces right in front of the house. I’m not sure about any additional parking. The owner was very responsive to messages which is a big plus. Also, I’m really not sure where some of the other reviews are getting that this is a “bad neighborhood”. We had no problems at all with neighbors. There’s traffic but I feel like that comes with staying in a city.

The house was very beautiful and spacious so that was definitely a plus. We arrived to the property an hour or two after check in and still did not have any instructions or codes to be able to actually get into the property. We had to sit outside of the property calling and emailing back and forth for 20 mins upon arrival which was off putting and the host would not answer the telephone. The host did later apologize and say that they thought the instructions were automatically sent to us, which was understandable but still not a good first impression. The neighborhood is very questionable and we did have a man holding a bottle of liquor trying to get into the property through the back sliding glass door on the last day of our stay. I literally had to get him to go away and I’m a female so it was a little scary to say the least. The opposite side of the street seems to have a lot of homeless people and low income housing which probably led to the random man carrying liquor and trying to get into the home while we were staying there. I did take a photo of him walking away but I’m not sure if it’s appropriate to post. I would recommend anyone staying here to have males with them to feel more safe. There are also no curtains on windows or the doors downstairs. I do think the place is very roomy and very modern. I would have stayed again if not for the area.

Not as advertised

The property is located in a sketchy area. None of the small appliances worked so could not make coffee or breakfast. Water dispenser in refrigerator didn't work. Sheets were not on the beds. Close to hospital so lots of sirens. Not clean! No garbage bags, minimum extras, this was basically just a shell of a home. I would not recommend staying here. Did not feel safe and one of the worst VRBO homes we have rented.

Don't do it

We booked one property with gated parking and were given a different property nearby with only street parking. Beautifully renovated corner home in a shady neighborhood with very active housing projects across the street from the side of the house. Vagrants wandering around. Loud busy street late into the night, highlighted by a car accident with injuries around 2AM, including sirens, tow trucks hooking up the cars. If you want peace and quiet, look elsewhere. Some in our party decided not to stay there, even though they had already paid, and made other arrangements, because they didn't want to leave their cars parked nowhere near the house due to lack of parking availability. I know some things are out of our control, but booking based on photos and then getting moved to a completely different situation is not right.

Beautiful Home, but needs work

To start, as the title says, the home is beautiful but needs some work. The outside brick wall is falling down and needs to be fixed. You would have thought the grass would have been cut also. The house has three floors and the first two floors seemed very clean and nice. The third floor however, needed a lot of attention. The main complaint was the bathroom. It had multiple different color hairs in the tub and lip of the tub. There was grime and specs of dirt in the tub also. At first we thought it was just the bathroom, but upon further evaluation, it was the third floor as a whole. The security of the third floor is not there due to the patio door not being able to lock. I'm certain no one will climb the side of the building, but when I have my children with me, I want security. Now lets go back down to the first floor. The first room to the right has two twin beds and faces the street. The curtain rod is either broken or off track. We used banana clips to keep the curtains closed so the headlights from cars wouldn't come through. The water was turned off to the refrigerator so there was no water or ice. There was an open bag of ice in the freezer, but we were not going to use something that was clearly used by someone else. Lastly and probably the most problematic thing was that we went to bed Friday night and woke up to dead roaches on the floor Saturday morning. Again, beautiful house, but needs some work.

Well its modern

Had a very hard time getting answers from owner on about everything prior our stay. So much so I had VRBO look into if it was a for real listing. We were told by VRBO we would be staying at 1700 Jenkins and that's where exterior pics showed in listing when we made our reservations. At 22 hours prior to our check in we had to get VRBO to get owner to send check in info. At that point we were told that we would be staying at 1703 Nassau. It is next door it is very similar but that is not right. We went with it cause of time frame. Upon arrival we found home had not been cleaned. We had wet towels hanging up in bathrooms. King bed needed sheets cleaned and the lawn is knee deep. We had some type of critter staying under the house as crawl space door is open. Oh owner did respond that he should look into a different cleaning crew. If you think I am embellishing on this I have pictures to back this up. OH one other thing if you use the gated back entrance that is not locked have several 5 dollar bills on hand because street people hang out there and ask for money to watch over your vehicle. In owners defense it is a very modern and nice home that needs better looking after as it is to nice of a home to be let go as it was. I know its new home. My wife and I had to sweep and vacuum entire house. We did a load of towels. Then a load of sheets. Oh yea when we went to dry towels went to clean lint trap and I kid you not there were two huge handfuls of lint in trap.

Property was not ready for guests

We had many issues with this property. Be aware before you book. This property works for a bachelor party that just needs a place to crash, but not for a family get together which is what I booked it for. Below is a list of issues we experienced. 1. We booked one house, but were given a completely different house (the house next door). While it was similar in size, some of the amenities were not there and it made the check in process very confusing as we thought we were in the wrong house and could not reach the host. Host blamed this one Verbo and would not take responsibility. It was frustrating because we were sitting outside with two young kids trying to figure out what house we are supposed to be in. 2. Parking was not as described. There was a chain on the gate and it looked like it belonged to a different house, we were scared to use it and parked on the street. 3. House was FILTHY. We did not expect it to be sparkling, it is a Vrbo, but it was clearly not cleaned from the last occupant. There was dog pee in the corners, crumbs everywhere, wet towels and used contacts on the bathroom floor. As mentioned we were traveling with young kids and this was very uncomfortable. 4. The appliances were new so they were not set up. The water in the fridge was not working and the dishwasher had cardboard pieces all over as if someone had run it with the plastic and cardboard inside. 5. The beds did not have adequate pillows or bedding. Some of the beds just had old couch pillo

Thank you for leaving us a feedback, regards to the property and the wrong address. That was a technical issues with vrbo and we got that fixed, For everything else some stuff I agree with and we did not do a good job on after all we are a new listening and we still learning so i was willing to take the blame for that , even i offered to give $300 as a refund for the inconvenient BUT HERE'S THE CATCH, HER AND HER HUSBAND START TO NEGOTIATE ON THE REFUND ASKING FOR $400 AND SHE WILL WITHDRAW THE COMPLAINT AND NOT LEAVING A BAD REVIEW, SO BASICALLY SHE WAS BLACKMAILING US WITH MONEY AND IT'S ALL VIDEO AND AUDIO RECORDED BY THE WAY, That's when I felt that's not right and I did not agree with knowing She will leave a bad review but I rather have that then having a guest trying to find anything to complain about so they can get money back

The house needed to be cleaned, there were cob webs everywhere the white walls were dirty the glass doors were dirty. Mop bucket left in the kitchen. The house was modern updated applicances but it needs to be deep cleaned.
