Die Lodge wurde im traditionellen, isländischen Sommer Weise gebaut. Es ist gut isoliert, warm und gemütlich das ganze Jahr. Rund um die Hütte ist eine große Terrasse und ist ideal für das Grillen Versammlungen für Mahlzeiten im Freien. Holzboden, gemütliche Beleuchtung und gute Atmosphäre.

Das Haus ist ein 3-Zimmer, 85 Quadratmeter groß und bietet Platz für bis zu 8 Personen.

Wunderbares Ferienhaus in idyllischer Lage

Unsere vierköpfige Familie hat das Ferienhaus 8 Tage lange bewohnt und es hat an nichts gefehlt. Bei der Ankunft war das Haus absolut sauber, die Ausstattung ist perfekt: Küchengeräte aller Art (sogar ein Mixer und Waffeleisen), Waschmaschine, Wäscheständer, Handtücher, Küchentücher, Duschgel, Mülltüten, Kaffee, einige Gewürze usw. Da der Whirlpool defekt war durften wir den des Nachbarhauses verwenden und bekamen außerdem noch Karten für das Hallenbad in Borgarnes. Die Lage hat uns auch sehr gut gefallen, es ist äußerst ruhig und man kann schön am Fluss spazieren gehen.

It was a very clean, cosy house with nothing missing. We immediately felt at home and enjoyed it.

We have been as a couple (25 & 27 years old) 1 week in the house. We were there at the beginning of December and were really lucky with the weather. They found the house well and there was nothing missing. The heating worked well, the couch was very comfortable and the highlight was of course the Jacuzzi, which we used every evening. The bed was super comfortable and the house is perfect for 2 people of this size. In the village Borgarnes there is a super bakery, a delicious pizzeria and a nice restaurant. Even when we once had a problem, the landlords were immediately reachable by phone and took care of everything. Apart from that everything went off without a hitch! We will gladly come back!!!

Our full recommendation

We stayed with 2 couples and 2 kids of 14 in this very cosy lodge and did not miss anything. The hot tub was the favorite of the kids. The house is well located for walks in the surrounding as well as starting for day trips. One bathroom for six people need some kind of management, but this was known before, so no criticism. Heidrun was reachable for any queries immediately. If we come back to Iceland, then we know where to stay.

Great and awesome

We spent great Christmas holidays at this cozy house close to Borgarnes. The house was clean, very comfortable and offered all the facilities as described. Beneath the great location in an amazing landscape the hotpot is the highlight of that house - we could watch polar lights during relaxing in the hot water. It takes about 10 minutes to go to Borgarnes, about 45 minutes to Reykjavík. The first view days the road to the house was very icy - fortunately our 4WD car was equipped with spikes so we could reach the house without any difficulty. You certainly will enjoy your stay at that place.

sehr schön gelegenes Haus

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in diesem Haus nördlich von Borgarnes. Die Lage ist super. Der Flughafen, Reykjavik, der goldene Zirkel und die Snaefellsnes-Halbinsel sind super zu erreichen. Das Haus liegt ruhig inmitten wunderschöner Natur. Nach Borgarnes sind es nur 10min. Man kann rund um das Haus tolle Wanderungen unternehmen und im Winter von der Terrasse die Nordlicher bestaunen. Unbeschreiblich... Wir waren 4 Erwachsene und 1 Kind. Das Haus war für uns ausreichend groß, auch wenn das Bad (und das Waschbecken) recht klein sind. Der Hot Pot sorgt dafür, dass es auch im Winter draußen sehr gemütlich ist. Der Kontakt zu Heidi und Robert war sehr freundlich. Alle unsere unzähligen Fragen wurden sehr schnell beantwortet. Kurzum: absolute Weiterempfehlung

Perfection

This was the most amazing place to stay for a family. Not too far from town but at the same time feeling very remote. House was surrounded with trees and birds. The kids fell in love with the loft. I would say no negatives about this property, but one challenge was the locks which they describe in detail up front. I was afraid of locking us out of the house so I just kept the key in the lockbox.

Really lovely spot ; great location . Was a perfect base for exploring so much of the West & central regions of Iceland. One of the best supplied rentals I have used- was able to cook anything with compromise on equipment. Extremely helpful and supportive hosts.We felt so at home here- it was hard to leave.

Wonderful stay-we Called it our “cozy cottage”

We loved our stay at this cottage in Iceland. It was a perfect spot for our exploring to Snæfellsnes. The cottage was wonderfully equipped with everything we needed and all instructions were clear and easy to follow. We settled right in. My teenager loved the loft and having the cool windows. Iceland is a long way from home for us but we would come back in a heartbeat.

Amazing property and wonderful hosts!

Where to begin... the house was absolutely immaculate. It was nice to have a thorough information packet e-mailed to us ahead of time to prepare for our arrival. From the shoe rack by the door (to keep the floors clean throughout our stay, we took off our shoes... I think it is also customary in Iceland to take off your shoes indoors), the heated towel rack in the bathroom, the neatly made beds, the hot tub heated and all ready to go, and an efficient but cozy layout, the home was perfect for our stay. The hosts have been very thoughtful about every detail to the house. We loved seeing the Northern Lights from right outside the home - a dream come true.

Loved this house

Cabin was exactly as described. Although small by US standards, it was plenty of space for our family of 5, including 3 teenage boys. The info and communication from the hosts were excellent, including detailed directions and access instructions. Good location for access to Snaefxxxx peninsula. Especially appreciated the hot tub after a long day of sightseeing. Thanks!

Fantastic cabin

Perfectly remote and cozy! I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy sleeping in but the land was calling to us. Terrific house manual sent ahead of booked stay takes all the guess work out of using the property. There are adjacent properties but separated by heavy vegetation. We slept very comfortably. I could see a small family enjoying this space too. The views of the mountains are super from the big windows and on the deck.

Peacefulness - You can sit outside on the terrace or walk around the house and enjoy the nature and the amazing mountain view in the peaceful surroundings.

Location - The location of the house is ideal for exploring the west side of Iceland. There are short driving distances to many beautiful places in the nature such as waterfalls and craters. Museums and historical places are also nearby. There is only a 15 minutes drive to the nearest town, Borgarnes, where you can find for example a swimming pool, golf course, shops, bakery, restaurants, library and health care.
