Die Lodge wurde im traditionellen, isländischen Sommer Weise gebaut. Es ist gut isoliert, warm und gemütlich das ganze Jahr. Rund um die Hütte ist eine große Terrasse und ist ideal für das Grillen Versammlungen für Mahlzeiten im Freien. Holzboden, gemütliche Beleuchtung und gute Atmosphäre.

Das Haus ist ein 3-Zimmer, 85 Quadratmeter groß und bietet Platz für bis zu 8 Personen.

Es hat mit der neuesten Ausrüstung, kostenfreies WLAN, großem Flachbild-TV, Spülmaschine, Mikrowelle und alles dazwischen. Siehe detaillierte Anlage und Ausrüstung unten.

Wonderful stay-we Called it our “cozy cottage”

We loved our stay at this cottage in Iceland. It was a perfect spot for our exploring to Snæfellsnes. The cottage was wonderfully equipped with everything we needed and all instructions were clear and easy to follow. We settled right in. My teenager loved the loft and having the cool windows. Iceland is a long way from home for us but we would come back in a heartbeat.

Amazing property and wonderful hosts!

Where to begin... the house was absolutely immaculate. It was nice to have a thorough information packet e-mailed to us ahead of time to prepare for our arrival. From the shoe rack by the door (to keep the floors clean throughout our stay, we took off our shoes... I think it is also customary in Iceland to take off your shoes indoors), the heated towel rack in the bathroom, the neatly made beds, the hot tub heated and all ready to go, and an efficient but cozy layout, the home was perfect for our stay. The hosts have been very thoughtful about every detail to the house. We loved seeing the Northern Lights from right outside the home - a dream come true.

Loved this house

Cabin was exactly as described. Although small by US standards, it was plenty of space for our family of 5, including 3 teenage boys. The info and communication from the hosts were excellent, including detailed directions and access instructions. Good location for access to Snaefxxxx peninsula. Especially appreciated the hot tub after a long day of sightseeing. Thanks!

Fun and relaxing time in nature

After being in Reykjavik, we came out to the Borgarnes area to relax and be closer to nature and the Snaefellsnes peninsula area. This little cabin was perfect for that! Felt remote, but was near everything we needed, and the views were so lovely.

Fantastic cabin

Perfectly remote and cozy! I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy sleeping in but the land was calling to us. Terrific house manual sent ahead of booked stay takes all the guess work out of using the property. There are adjacent properties but separated by heavy vegetation. We slept very comfortably. I could see a small family enjoying this space too. The views of the mountains are super from the big windows and on the deck.

We loved the layout of the cabin- it was perfect forOur needs!

We had a great stay and Heidi and Rob were excellent to work with. They were very quick to respond via email before our trip and they provided excellent information about the cabin (directions, how to use features, etc.). Little slice of heaven

We stayed in this cabin for 3 nights and had a delightful time, I slept so well! The house is cozy, private, and nestled in nature. The amenities were perfect from kitchen, WiFi, hot tub and laundry. My daughter enjoyed reading in the loft area and she said it felt like a tree house:)

cozy and remote

We had a nice stay at this cute little house. It was cozy with comfortable beds and a wonderful hot tub. It was definitely off the beaten track and took longer to get to destinations because of the remote location, but if you are looking for a cozy get away and enjoy the nearby river and surrounds, this house is very nice.

Great location near to Borganes but off the main road and secluded in the trees. All the required facilities for a midsummer night with the obligatory hot tub. We will be back perhaps in Winter next time

Peaceful, cozy retreat within easy range of spectacular glaciers and coastline

We spent four very enjoyable days at this great getaway house. Quiet, clean and well-supplied with very accommodating and easily contacted owners. Easy drives to Snaefellsjokull, the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, Langjokull and the food at the Hotel Budir. Exactly the place we like for combining active outdoor activities with a relaxing hot tub and a "cozy cottage". Highly recommended.

Very cozy and peaceful setting

Lots of space for 5 of us, and not too far from the Snaefellsnes Peninsula... our guys loved the hot tub, and it made a great base for the Borgarnes area. Heidi was very responsive, and generous with local tips. No luck on the Northern Lights, but some lovely starry skies.

Another Great Stay in Borganes!

This was my family's second stay at this sweet cottage outside of Borganes. We love it here. A peaceful and cozy home with every amenity needed. Heidi is very easy to communicate with. Great recommendations for activities and restaurants at the home. I'm sure we'll be back again soon!

Great Location

Clear instructions, not only in terms of directions, everything you need to know for your stay at the cottage. Heidrun made sure nothing is left out and appreciated making it easy for us and our stay at her cottage. It is in a great location not far from what south western Iceland has to offer, especially touring around the Snaefellsness peninsula. A very nice place to return to and relax. Loved it!

Peacefulness - You can sit outside on the terrace or walk around the house and enjoy the nature and the amazing mountain view in the peaceful surroundings.

Location - The location of the house is ideal for exploring the west side of Iceland. There are short driving distances to many beautiful places in the nature such as waterfalls and craters. Museums and historical places are also nearby. There is only a 15 minutes drive to the nearest town, Borgarnes, where you can find for example a swimming pool, golf course, shops, bakery, restaurants, library and health care.
