About 10 minutes from Lido Beach which was the prettiest beach in the area in my opinion. Also close to Saint-Armands and The Ringling museums which were great activities! I did have a few complaints about the property though. 1. The door locking mechanism is confusing and wasn’t mentioned in the listing. For future renters please know that you need to push the door in hard to fully shut it and turn the lock horizontal for it to lock! It’s one of those doors that unlocks if you twist the knob from the inside, but once the lock is horizontal you wont be able to open the door from the outside. My friend and I accidentally locked ourselves out trying to sit outside to enjoy the fresh air. We had to enter in through the unlocked windows. Thankfully they were unlocked, but that is a safety hazard for sure. We tried to contact Susan, but didnt hear back until alr inside. 2. There weren’t enough towels for the 5 day stay. We had to reuse dirty towels multiple times and the wash cloths are old and stained. 3. The wifi is incorrect on the listing and isn’t stated as so by the lister. The correct wifi information is framed by the door.4. We couldn’t get the TV to work. The remote bugged out and kept turning the volume all the way up or down which was unpleasant. The TV was extremely laggy as well, so it was basically useless. Overall I would have rather stayed at a motel nearby, we would have unlimited towel supply and wouldn’t have issues with locking ourself out of our home.
